This thief isn’t a regular pickpocket — he’s more of a Robin Hood, serving the streets of NYC to make them less annoying. A young guy was riding the D Train in NYC, singing jumbled lyrics loudly enough to scare the innocent tourists a few rows down. The thief, standing next to him, stole his Beats by Dr. Dre headphones at the perfect moment. Do you think the video is real or was it a well orchestrated prank?
I’m hitting my midday slump and really needed to be reminded of these amazing facts that will BLEW MY MIND. AsapSCIENCE dug up some pretty crazy figures that might make your head explode.

How about these doozies: One percent of the world’s population is drunk at any moment. Koalas, iguanas and Komodo Dragons all have two penises. If the population of China walked past you in a single file line, it would take about 30 years considering the rate of reproduction. WHAT?!

Either Jamie Kennedy is trolling everyone, or this live NYE broadcast was a calamitous FAIL. A beautiful, disastrous FAIL.
The independent TV station based out of Orange County experienced a slew of technical flaws during their broadcast, including f-bombs, dead air, lack of audio and awkward silences. First Night 2013 was hosted by Jamie Kennedy (naturally) and featured a live performance from Macy Gray, who murmured random things on stage.
The clip below features a montage of highlights from the show and the full broadcast will be up this weekend on BlackDudeWhiteChick.

BaratsAndBereta imagined what the pranks calls received by history’s greatest minds sounded like, starting of course with telephone inventor Alexander Graham Bell. As they say in their description: “If you value historical accuracy or costumes or logic, prepare to hate this video.”
Some of the hypothetical prank calls include Napoleon, Helen Keller, Charles Manson and Anne Frank. The running joke? “Is your refrigerator running? Well then you better go catch it!!”

Prankster from RossCreations decided to see how much you can really trust random strangers by putting his life in their hands and challenging them to catch him when he falls. Consider the “trust fail fall” was quite spontaneous and occasionally from a distance of several feet away, it’s not surprising he landed on his arse most of the time. Only one guy managed to catch him in the end, and the others were plain confused. Let the hilarity ensue!

Canadian band Walk Off The Earth struck YouTube gold with their second viral hit “I Knew You Were Trouble,” featuring beatboxer KRNFX. The band rejigged Taylor Swift’s dubstep pop song sans instruments.
Walk Off The Earth exploded last year when they released their cover of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” featuring five musicians playing one guitar. It received over 143 million hits but was beat out by Psy’s “Gangnam Style” as the most popular video on YouTube.
In their new a capella tune, it’s hard to believe they’re not using any electronic instruments to create the dubstep bass. They also play off a snippet of Solomon Linda’s song “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”
The band said on Twitter: “Hey y’all. Please tweet at @taylorswift13 with our new video to see if she’s feelin’ it.” No word from her yet! What do you think of the cover?

Ed Bassmaster is a pranking professional but I don’t think I’ve ever laughed THIS hard at his tomfoolery. The prankster donned a long mushroom cut wig and went up to various strangers in NYC. Once he had their attention, he did a quick swoosh with his hair (he had to get it out of his eyes so you could revel in his full expression) then he shook his head and did the old “PSH.”
Most of the strangers laughed or looked slightly offended and ignored him. Beware though, if you “PSH” the wrong person there could be trouble!! Previously, he has pranked people by taking photos with celebrity doppelgängers and ordering brains at drive-throughs.

This pet pheasant lives in Bigfork Montana on The Sundance Ranch and follows his owner’s car whenever he leaves. He says: “Yes he does come back after his flight, he would always fly or chase my car when I tried to leave. Once he even landed on the roof and rose out to the highway before I brought him back home.”
Go home Peter, you’re drunk!
Just to point it out, most of the cats in this video compilation are complete sh*t disturbers before they morph into the proverbial “scaredy cat.” It serves them right. The compilation was created by YouTube mihaifrancu, and features a bunch of cowardly kittens.
This Alaskan Malamute puppy might kill you with cuteness. Her name is Ariel and she’s just learning to howl. Sure, it’s cute now. But imagine it in the middle of the night when you’re trying to sleep. Anyway, you might have to punch a wall just to regain your sense of toughness after watching this video.
These two dudes were playing their favourite video game, Assassin’s Creed, and debating over the authenticity of their character’s pain tolerance. The animated character bounds over buildings and topples gracefully to the ground into a pile of hay like it’s no biggie. Wouldn’t that hurt?! They decided to take a leap of faith — literally — and have one of them jump of the roof of their two story house to test out the theory.
The catastrophic result is what happens when you’re bored at home for the holidays. The hilarious parody video was uploaded to andrewmfilms.

To celebrate a year in videos, YouTube invited some of their favourite stars to be in a mashup of 2012′s most culturally defining moments. Can you spot all the references?
The Peter Furia-directed video called “Rewind YouTube Style” includes Psy, Walk off the Earth, the dude from Sh*t Girls Say , Jenna Marbles and way more. If you move your mouse around the screen you’ll find highlighted links to each person’s most notable video. We’ve been waiting for it ever since Psy tweeted this pic of him with the Walk off the Earth gang.

Psy’s “Gangnam Style” and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” — two of the most memorable songs of the year — are mashed together over the video.
What was your favourite moment of the year?

These kids were trying their darndest to perform their choreographed routine to the Christmas classic “The Twelve Days of Christmas” at their school recital, but they just couldn’t get it right. Each of the kids were showing off their impressive numerical skills by holding up signs counting down the numbers in the song.
Unfortunately, one adorable kids wants to hold his sign up when it’s not his turn, much to the chagrin of the person standing next to him, who is clearly dealing with amateurs. His friends try to help him — to make him see — but he just can’t hold his sign up at the right time or perform the proper arm extension. Although he tried, I think his teacher is going to save him for number one next year, which requires less countingskills.
Tommy Woolridge has never been on a real date so he decided to go on some spontaneous blind dates without inviting any girls in advance. Naturally, the awkwardness we’ve come to know and love in the YouTube star seeps out, as he approaches random girls reading in parks and presents them with a single red rose.
The girls don’t realize it’s a prank and think the whole thing is either a mixup or that the dude is a major CREEP. Either way, most of them are pretty embarrassed for him. Previously, Woolridge attempted to use Taylor Swift and Blink 182 lyrics as pick-up lines.
So far, he hasn’t met his soulmate through his YouTube pranks, but he might want to consider one of his top commenters as a suitor:
How would you react if some random dude approached you and said you had a blind date?

Christmas sweatz aren’t just for lonely men sitting at home watching infomercials or old people knitting a new faux collar. NAH, they’re for every mother fruit cake.
This year, Christmas sweatz are all about colour blocking. Do you have green sweatz? Does your friend have red? Good, now flip those sweatz around and you’ve got festive Christmas sweatz that are so sick you could get arrested!
This “Christmas Sweatz” parody was posted on YouTube today by Internetainers RhettandLink and it quickly started trending. The song is even available to purchase on iTunes. Are you wearing Christmas sweatz this year? It’s the most comfortable way to spend the holiday season… and most definitely, the most fashionable.

Although cats are relatively self-sufficient, when they do want something they’ll let you know. They’ve developed a bit of a reputation for being rude and sadistic. This cat on the other hand, doesn’t want to bother anyone. She just wants to be pet by her owner, but he’s watching TV so she takes the high route and asks… politely.
YouTube cutie Peter Bamforth put a disposable camera in a box and left it in various downtown locations around London. Inside the box, he wrote the message “Take a Photo,” hoping to document a day London.
The results were pretty impressive and might restore your faith in humanity just a little. While some people just walked by and ignored his project, others were genuinely interested and took photos of each other. Shockingly, no one stole the camera, which I guess isn’t that crazy since it was just a disposable.
By the end of the day, families couples and friends all had a laugh, despite the freezing weather.

Australia’s shittiest DJ, otherwise known as Drongo, provided us with a wealth of douchey one-liners that you should never ever repeat in public.
Here are some of the douchiest things he said:
The parody, by Australian YouTube star shooterwilliamson, is already trending online since uploading it this morning. Previously, he showed us how NOT to do a drug deal and told us why Aussies are the wildest of the bunch.
I hate to say it, but he kind of reminds of that self promoter who got nominated for a Grammy, Al Walser.

Here’s one reason to not complain about the frigidly cold temperatures outside: Finnish people. They have to put up with icy weather but they still manage to make up one of the happiest nations in the world. Take it from these bold Finnish guys who glare at the snow with their “come at me hypothermia,” disrobe and bury their bodies under the powder for kicks. Finland, you’re doing it better than everyone else.
