Ea Sports NHL 10 Demo is out now… but only for Gold subscribers on Xbox Live! The demo has been out since the 20th and will be available for PSN and silver members come the 27th.
The new game modes showcased this year include battle for the cup- a rundown of the finals including the tension ridden game 7 of the play-offs and Be a Tough Guy promises to give a personal touch on the duties of a protector/enforcer on the ice.

Part of the 2nd Annual Summer of Arcade program is a stunt Bike game. There over 50 obstacles and stunt tracks to wreak havock in. Customize you character and create the obstacle course of your dreams then share it online! Unlimited downloads of other user created levels ensures this title will be one youll be playing for sometime.
Sort of reminds me of the classic bike games like Excite Bike.. Which is cool!

On Thursday, November 6, Future Shop stores across Canada will be open at 11:59 p.m. for the release of the Gears of War 2 game. Stores in Quebec and Sudbury will be open at 8 a.m. on November 7.
Gear of War 2 plays on the Xbox 360 console. The game supports the Xbox Live feature, giving players access to new maps, weapons and maps. With Xbox Live, Gear of War 2 players can drop in and out of the co-opt campagin at any time.
Gears of War 2 is currently available by pre-order in-store and online. Because the game is rated M for Mature, it will only be sold to those over the 17 and ID will be checked at purchase and pick-up.
Xbox LIVE Arcade has just announced the addition of several new games, to be made available Wednesday, July 30.
The retro shooter game Geometry Wards: Retra Evolved 2 will be made available this week, with games such as Braid, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, Galaga Legions and Castle Crashers to be released throughout the month of August.
In conjunction of the launch of these new titles, Xbox LIVE Arcade users can also earn entry into the Summer of Arcade sweepstakes promotion by logging in and playing the trail or full version of the featured game of the week for the chance to win prizes such as a 12 month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription and an Xbox 360 Elite console.
Xbox has just announced the addition of fighting game SOULCALIBUR to the Xbox LIVE Arcade. SOULCALIBUR is a critically-acclaimed fighting game that features 19 characters on a quest to acquire the Soul Edge. The latest version of the video game for Xbox LIVE has been revamped to feature high definition graphics, HDTV support and various levels of Achievement.
SOULCALIBUR has both multi-player and single-player capabilities, and will be available world-wide over the Xbox LIVE Network. It will carry a rating of T for Teen.
Today, Activision added “No Doubt” to the ever growing list of artists such as The Rolling Stones, Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine and Pearl Jam which can be found on Guitar Hero III.
The track pack includes such classics as “Don’t Speak,” “Excuse Me Mr.,” and “Sunday Morning” from their diamond selling album Tragic Kingdom.
The track pack is available to download now on Xbox LIVE and the PLAYSTATION Store.
After having difficulties with the Xbox Live service over the holidays, gamers were promised a free arcade game to make up for the downtime. Today Microsoft announced that it will be offering Undertow (normally 800 points) free of charge to all silver and gold Xbox Live subscribers.
Developed by Chair Entertainment Group, Undertow is an aquatic based shooter which will allow players to immerse themselves in a full single player campaign, online or offline co-op, as well as battle for control of the oceans as one of three selectable races in 2-16 people multiplayer.
The offer is valid for 5 days beginning Wednesday, January 23rd at 2:00 am PST and will end Sunday, January 27th at 11:59 pm PST. Undertow is available worldwide and is rated Everyone 10+.
Mark Whitten, General Manager of Xbox live, released a statement yesterday regarding the problems that some Xbox live gold members had over the holidays. Microsoft attributed the issues to record numbers of people signing up for the service. The statement is as follows:
Dear Xbox LIVE Members:
During this past holiday season you helped us break a number of Xbox LIVE records. This included our largest sign-up of new members to Xbox LIVE in our 5 year history and just yesterday you broke the record for the single biggest day of concurrent members ever on the service.
As a result of this massive increase in usage we know that some of you experienced intermittent Xbox LIVE issues over the holiday break. While the service was not completely offline at any given time, we are disappointed in our performance. I would like to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for your patience and understanding as our team has worked around the clock to return the service to a stable state.
At the same time we would like to offer a token of our appreciation to all of you in celebration of record success for the service. And as a thank you for your loyalty during this holiday period, we will be offering all of our Xbox LIVE members around the world access to a full Xbox LIVE Arcade game that will be available to download free of charge. In the coming weeks we will be sharing the specific details of this offer with you.
