Kanye Forgives and Forgets – Set to Perform at MTV Awards.

Perhaps time does heal all wounds. According to E! News, Kanye West is set to perform and close the MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday.

Last year, after the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, West vowed to never perform at the awards after being relegated to a small stage and shut out despite five nominations.

Now, West has appeared to have forgiven and forgotten and will join Britney Spears in the 25th anniversary edition of the VMAs. West’s decision to perform may be less about moving on and more about self-promotion as the rapper’s new single “Love Lockdown” is expected to be released on Monday.

Producers have confirmed Spears is opening the show but they are keeping mum about whether or not the pop star will perform.

Other singers set to perform or appear are Christina Aguilera, Jonas Brothers, Rihanna, T.I., Pink, Kid Rock, the Ting Tings, Lupe Fiasco, Lil Wayne and Katy Perry.

West, Williams & Fiasco Eye Supergroup Album

KANYE WEST, PHARRELL WILLIAMS and LUPE FIASCO are planning to turn their one-off collaboration as hip-hop supergroup CRS (CHILD REBEL SOLDIERS) into a full-length album.

The trio taped track Us Placers for West’s mix-tape Can’t Tell Me Nothing and were so pleased with the result, they now plan to record an album of songs as CRS.

Fiasco tells Billboard.com, “Now our labels are working it out. Whoever is going to pay is going to pay a whole hell of a lot.

“Everybody is excited, but Us Placers is the only record we have.”

Legendary Daredevil Sues Kanye West

Motorcycle adventurer Evil Knievel is suing Kanye West saying the controversial rapper violated his image in the making of the “Touch the Sky” music video.

“That video that Kanye West put out is the most worthless piece of crap I’ve ever seen in my life, and he uses my image to catapult himself on the public,” the 68-year-old said Tuesday.

Knievel sent his lawyers to the U.S. District Court in Tampa, Florida, to file charges against West, Roc-A-Fella Records, video director Chris Milk and AOL for distributing the video.

West and his lawyers haven’t released any statements.

Knievel, whose name is Robert Craig Knievel says the video tarnishes his reputation.

“The guy just went too far using me to promote his filth to the world,” he says, “I’m not in any way that kind of a person.”
