Lil Wayne is expanding his empire even further with a sports show. The weekly talk show will be called ”Weezy’s Sports Corner.”
“I don’t know if you’re familiar, but when I was locked up, I was blogging,” he says in his announcement video.
The show will be unscripted conversation about sports, with other sports personalities each week as panelists.
Do you think Weezy knows anything about sports?

Lil’ Wayne used to be the ultimate partier – booze, drugs, you name it he had it. However Weezy’s probation forbids him access to these substances, which means a dry backstage during his tour.
A source from the tour tells TMZ that the “I Am Still Music” tour will have a “dry backstage as we are committed to keeping a safe and professional atmosphere to ensure a smoothly running tour.” This is only for backstage areas, and regular fans are free to do as they wish in general areas.
Expect this policy to last until 2013, which is the length of his probation. However this hasn’t affected his performance. He just dropped another mixtape recently and it’s amazing.
If you’re a fan of Lil Wayne, you know that he’s been released from jail. Now that he’s out of the slammer, though, he must serve three years of probation.
TMZ reports that Weezy landed in Yuma, Arizona to meet with the local probation department and start the three year sentence.
The incident that landed the rapper in prison in the first place occurred in Yuma at a U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint, where officers found cocaine, ecstasy and a handgun. The felony drug charge is what put Weezy behind bars, with the other charges being dropped.
Lil Wayne will serve three years of unsupervised probation and also must complete 360 hours of community service—which will be carried out where he lives in Miami.
Sources say that if Lil Wayne has good behaviour, he might be able to get the felony charge dropped to a misdemeanour, which would be a positive if the rapper feels the need to go on tour with a bus filled with firearms and drugs.
Are you missing Lil Wayne? Well don’t cry anymore because the imprisoned rapper has a solution.
Yesterday (April 2nd) Weezy launched Weezythanxyou.com which he will be posting weekly blogs and responses to fan letters, according to MTV.
“Your letter was so thoughtful and sincere,” he wrote in response to Nurris Terrero of New York. “The way you worded everything left me in awe. Please send suggestions on books I should read. I look forward to checking them out.”
Lil Wayne is not getting any special treatment in jail, and is not considered a celebrity. TMZ has learned that the star has been instructed by prison officials not to sign a single autograph while in jail.
A prison representative told TMZ that Lil Wayne has not asked for anything out of the ordinary, and is serving a standard prison sentence. Weezy is serving a year long sentence for gun charges at Rikers Island in New York.
Weezer will include a track featuring hip-hop star Lil Wayne on their new album, MTV News reports.
Raditude, scheduled to debut on November 3rd, is the seventh studio album by the rock group, and front man Rivers Cuomo said it was a chance, “to do something totally different.”
If you’re familiar with Weezer’s edgy, upbeat rock sound, urban music is far from characteristic of their style. Cuomo told MTV News that he wrote the song, titled “Can’t Stop Partying,” with music industry dynamo Jermaine Dupri. “It was a real challenge for me, taking his ideas, which are very slick, R&B party [ideas], and giving it some kind of edge, some darkness, making it work with rock, making it work with Weezer,” said Cuomo.
But Lil Wayne is no stranger to Rock. He appeared on Fallout Boy’s last album, and is continuing to pursue his own solo rock-inspired project named Rebirth. Experience, though, doesn’t necessarily imply success. His rock endeavours have been praised for their daring ingenuity, but not necessarily their sound. Ingenuity is one thing that the music pair share though, so it will be interesting to hear the final product of their collaboration.
