A lot of kids have dreams of being musicians but unfortunately they just don’t have the talent. Their parents either let them down gently or nod along with a crooked smile on their face to humour them.
These kids on the other hand have pure talent. The two young Irish boys did an acoustic version of Rihanna’s “We Found Love” and it was all captured on a cell phone camera. While one plays the guitar and does a rap verse in the middle, the other shows off his pipes.
For some reason the YouTube comments have taken an inexplicable turn for the worse — commenting on Irish descendants of all things (Are they REALLY Irish?). Let’s focus on what’s important here people: these two kids are mega talented, and we hope to hear more from them.

Proving once again that she has some serious vocal chops, Kelly Clarkson decided to take a shot at covering a song that isn’t really within her genre. But by adding in a little Texas country twang, she definitely made Rihanna’s “We Found Love” sound like her own!
At Virginia Beach, V. A on Tuesday during a tour stop, the singer, (who obviously can’t get the song out of her head like the rest of us!) even decided to dedicate her cover to a fan.
“This is for Christoper Buew, Brewer, Christopher Brewer… I can’t say it right. Oh my goodness, say it five times fast,” says Clarkson, before proceeding to say Brewer’s last name five times. “See? I can’t do it. So I’m gonna sing this song that’s by Rihanna!”
I love Kelly for showing off what she can do by singing these fun little covers. From Lady Gaga to Rihanna, what should she cover next?

Marina and the Diamonds – Starring Role
Two years after their debut album The Family Jewels, Marina and the Diamonds is finally back with Electra Heart. Their new single “Starring Role” has a different vibe than the upbeat tracks we’re used to. Lead singer Marina Diamandis’ powerful voice is easily comparable to Florence Welch’s and she gets to showcase her talent in this beautiful ballad, which features a haunting guitar. Electra Heart will be released on April 30.
Ingrid Michaelson – We Found Love
Let me start off by saying I was never a fan of Rihanna’s “We Found Love.” I’m a huge Calvin Harris fan and RiRi makes great music, but “We Found Love” sounded too contrived for my taste. Enter Ingrid Michaelson, who takes the generic club hit and creates a multi-tracked a capella version with just her voice. There are no backing instruments — just the beauty of one woman’s voice reconstructing a synth-pop hit into an indie-folk masterpiece. Finally, a version I can actually enjoy!
Little Boots — Every Night I Say A Prayer
Little Boots is moving to the dark dance side with “Every Night I Say A Prayer.” Her new track is a throwback tune that reminds me of Kylie Minogue. The release tied-in with Record Store Day and it’s a six minute hook-driven, new school club banger. Read more…

Chris Brown didn’t shy away from proudly singing Rihanna’s song “We Found Love” at an Orlando nightclub and TMZ has footage.
Brown was at Club Vain on Sunday night for an NBA All Star Weekend finale party. He was on the stage where everyone could see him and they all start cheering when the song came on. It sounds like the moment was sneakily constructed too, as the DJ calls out Chris Brown. No worries though, Brown knew the song by heart and awkwardly danced along with it.
Earlier this month we saw a controversial reconciliation between the two when they released collaborations on Twitter.
If I could turn every song into a good acoustic version, I would. “Acoustic that please,” can be my new catch phrase.
Today Jessie J acoustified Rihanna’s “We Found Love” for BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. The live version really showcases her pipes and puts a new spin on the song. I won’t say I like it better than the original, but it’s a fresh take on a song I’ve heard a little too much of lately. The singer also performed an acoustic version of her song “Domino,” but if you have to catch one out of the two, I’d definitely give this one a go.
