Warped Line-Up Announced

Protest the Hero, Say Anything, Against Me!, Jack’s Mannequin and Bouncing Souls are just some of the bands who will take part in the 2008 Vans Warped Tour.

Organizers have unveiled the line-up and itinerary for the summer tour, which kicks off June 20 in Pomona, California.

Canadian stops include Toronto (July 19), Montreal (July 20), Saskatoon (Aug. 5) and Calgary (Aug. 6).

Calgary’s show will take place at the Race City Speedway, while the venues for the other Canadian cities have yet to be announced.

Pre-sale tickets are now available at www.warpedtour.com.

The tour, now in its 14th year, is a 46-date outing this year and will run through late August.

Warped Tour Announces Lineup, Dates

The 2006 Vans Warped Tour has unveiled its lineup and dates, starting June 15 in Columbia, Md. and wrapping up Aug. 13 in Montreal, Billboard reports.

The 12th edition of the tour will feature performances by Saves The Day, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Say Anything, AFI, The Academy Is, The Living End, Rise Against, Thursday, Motion City Soundtrack, From First To Last and NOFX, among others.

Tickets for some shows will begin to go on sale Wednesday (March 15). During this pre-sale, tickets will be sold for just over $20, including a double-disc tour compilation CD. The ticket price will rise to about $25 afterward.

Among the other bands that will appear on at least a portion of the tour are Alkaline Trio, Anti-Flag, Bouncing Souls, Mute Math, Reggie & the Full Effect, Bullet For My Valentine, Silverstein and the Sounds.

Kevin Lyman launched the Warped Tour in 1994 as a multi-stage traveling punk music festival. It has been coming to Canada since 1998; this year?s trek includes four Canadian stops.

The lineup for the 2005 edition of the tour included Thrice, My Chemical Romance and The Offspring.
