Graffiti6 is starting to make their North American invasion, and they are hitting up the Tonight Show. Does this sound familiar? Well the Beatles made the exact same journey over 40 years ago. Naturally, @jordans_life had to make some comparisons.
Nick plays World of Warcraft. Not only that, he’s the head of his guild, demonstrating that it IS possible to juggle being a hardcore gamer with being a top-selling recording artist.
During a LIVE interview on andPOP.com Nick Carter gave out a number and took phone calls from his fans. These were real phone calls from real fans who we gave exclusive access to one of the biggest recording artists of our generation.
There were great questions about music, fitness, the backstreet boys but the most popular question, however, was about his underwear. In this clip Nick talks about his his ‘Haynes’ and covering his fans with glow in the dark paint.
When releasing new music today, half the battle is online promotion. However, contests, signed merch and giveaways aren’t always the best solutions. When working on their latest album, Hedley came up with a brilliant idea, they decided to make trailers.
It’s hard to prepare for an interview with Hedley. So in this interview, we threw caution to the wind, got a 24 of beer and broadcast the interview live on our USTREAM (andPOP.tv). Eventually Jacob, Dave and @jordans_life ended up talking about hairy legs, their newest music video and more.
Diamandis from Marina and The Diamonds talks to us about her very serious disease. It’s called synaesthetic. And we lied, it’s not a disease. More like a cool condition. Diamandis explains further.
Would you be embarrassed if someone scrolled through your iPod? We sit down with Spee and Brendan to talk about the diverse music on their playlist.
Marina and The Diamonds are working on some new music, but Marina is being very secretive about it. Although the release has been delayed, she let’s us in on some secrets about the new album, and how alcohol changed her life.
We’ve all wondered what it would be like to have a sleepover with all our favourite celebrities. I sometimes wonder what Robert Pattinson wears to bed and if Angelina Jolie likes to sleep on her back or her side. Does Reese Witherspoon snore? Does Justin Timberlake hog the bed sheets? I bet Ryan Gosling likes to wear a fleece onesie.
One comedian/filmmaker actually got a chance to spend the night at a couple of famous stars’ L.A. homes. Mark Malkoff wrote a bunch of emails and made a lot of calls but only a select group of B-list celebrities agreed to his unusual proposal.
Justine Bateman let him sleep in her tree house. Camryn Manheim let him sleep in the guest bedroom with her Emmy award. “Full House” star Dave Coulier let him sleep in the driveway. “Private Practice” actress Kate Walsh appeared to be the most generous by letting Mark snuggle up with her in her master bedroom.
You can watch his short film below and marvel at how he got away with something us regular folk only dream about.
The Kramer videos continue. The newest one is Kramer having a seizure after listening to Skrillex.
Infamous clip from the banned Seinfeld episode “Mr. Kramer Goes To Washington”.
8 year old Juliet has released a video called “My First Hardcore Song.” All we can say is this video has huge viral potential.
Juliet sings about her love for her dog and her pet fish. A very emotional and moving song and video. We suggest you share.
Who doesn’t love giving the occasional middle finger? Admit it, sometimes it is very satisfying to just to point that finger up at somebody. Now, Cobra Starship and Mac Miller have a video that pays homage to everyone’s favorite hand gesture.
Mac starts the song off by saying, ”Got my middle finger up and it’s pointed to the ground/Rollin’ in with my whole entourage, too many of us to count.”
The whole video is a collection of people giving the Cobra Starship crew the finger.
What do you think of the video?
This meme has proven it’s staying power with nearly a full month of Shit various people say. By now, virtually every nationality and sexual orientation has been lampooned in just under two minutes on youtube. Shit Girls Say has trended on twitter and it’s been shared on millions of Facebook pages, yet it seems the world is still craving more.
In fact, it’s so widely popular that people are starting to parody what is being said about the videos. This particular video is appropriately titled “Shit Girls Say, About Shit Girls Say” and features two incredibly masculine gentleman making fun of the meme.
Which begs the question: is this fad ready to die? Or is it just getting started?
If you want a dose of cuteness with your morning coffee, we have the perfect YouTube clip for you to watch.
Who doesn’t like pandas. When they’re babies, they look like little furry bears you just wanna cuddle with. They’re innocent and look cute without trying too hard. Case in point: this baby panda trying to escape his crib.
While his female cage mates are more preoccupied with a plastic box, the male panda almost gets away with climbing out of the wooden cage at the breeding center in Chengdu, China.
“He’s not going to take no for an answer!” the commentator says as an employee catches him and puts him back in his place.
Since “Shit Girls Say” flooded the internet last month, a ton of spoofs were uploaded on YouTube: “Shit Black Girls Say”, “Shit Gay Guy Say”, and now, “Shit Single Girls Say”.
Written and directed by Jenn Hovick, Brittany Ludwig and Derrick Cole, Derrick sports a long red wig and acts out a bunch of scenarios single girls would find themselves in.
He delivers such lines as “what’s wrong with a fairytale wedding?” and “Liz Lemon is my hero!”
This video does shed some truth as what goes inside the head of a single lady. We most certainly do gush about Ryan Gosling and complain about the guys we meet in bars. And we do say the words “so” “like” and “bang” more than the average girl.
The only thing that’s really questionable is how Derrick believes all single girls say “I like being single, it’s fun”. That’s always a toss-up, if you ask me.
A new video has hit the Internet with some excellent advice about getting over your ex. The host of this video honestly points out that eventually all relationships end – so there is some valuable advice for both men and women.
There is still a lot of good in the world. A random jam session broke out on a NYC subway and luckily YouTuber “MyBS86″ was there to capture it.
Below is the video summary:
okay- what you are about to watch is a true new york experience. what originally started out as a typical nyc subway ride (sitting across from guy who smelled like urine) turned into an awesome performance by two people who have never met before. i captured the whole thing on video.
the singer continued with another great song after the entire subway car demanded an encore. her name is jessica latshaw- make sure to check out her music.
You have heard of “Shit Girls Say.” Well say hello to its funnier knockoff, “Shit White Girls Say… To Black Girls.” This is both hilarious and educational. YouTuber ChesCaleigh has come up with this interesting parody.
Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have created a cute video where they sing a duet called “What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve.”
On the fictitious talk show “Today Now!”, two hosts introduce a new female pop singer to the audience: K’Ronikka. The 22-year-old is dubbed as the “latest pop monstrosity the music industry has ever sadistically forced down our throats”.
Okay, The Onion, we get it. You’re not a fan of Katy Perry or Fergie, neither are you a fan of Ke$ha.
The actress does a good job at spoofing Ke$ha’s wild personality, accent and over-the-top fashion choices. “People just love my ish!” she tells the hosts.
K’Ronikka appears on “Today Now!” to promote her new single, “Booty Wave”. She gets up from her seat to do the booty wave and name drops Pit Bull for appearing on her second single, “I’mma Slam Yo D”.
The Onion gets really snarky with their hate for pop music. They take it a whole new level when the headline “New K’Ronikka Duet With LMFAO May Cause Mass Suicides”.
Even though this is a big joke, it’s gut-wrenching to think that if there were a real K’Ronikka making music out there in L.A., “Booty Wave” would actually be a hit song on the radio.
Do you ever go to a busy laundymat and wish you could just bust a move as you’re listening to the hottest new dance song on your iPod? If so, you and Angela Trimbur have a lot in common.
The girl made a video of herself dancing to Lykke Li’s “Im Good, I’m Gone”. She wrote on the video page that she went through a bad breakup and wanted to cheer herself up.
“I’ve been mega sad/low. This title caught my eye as I scrolled through- it’s fitting!” she says, of the song choice.
The video, in case you’re curious, takes place at the Laundromat in Echo Park. California. Angela’s got skills in the dance department– she even uses a laundry cart as a dance partner for a bit — but, it’s a real shame the two ladies in the background couldn’t care less. They just want to wash their delicates!
Check out the short clip below.
Matt Damon is “Claus For A Cause.” As part of a guerrilla effort to help promote a clean water initiative, Mr. Damon went undercover and tried to convince kids to ask for a water bottle for Christmas.
In the video, he’s essentially the butt of the joke as none of the children have any idea who “Matt Damon” is. Dressed in a full Santa costume, he gets humbled by one child in particular who tells him she does, however, know Ben Affleck.
As far as philanthropy goes, no one does it like Damon. This video is reminiscent of his Entourage cameo when he stalks Vincent Chase to write a cheque for his ONEXONE effort.
Personally, I don’t mind when celebrities communicate a message doing what they’re good at: entertaining. If more notable faces stopped preaching and tried something unique, more fans would happily donate.
Newly single ladies like Demi Moore, Taylor Swift and Zooey Deschanel can start their new year off right by picking up flirting tips from Rebecca Larue.
Okay, so Rebecca is only a fictional character played by Kristin Wiig on SNL. But, her expert advance really rings true.
For instance, flipping your hair back and forth (kinda like Willow SMith but more sexy) lets a guy know you’re ready to party. Constantly giggling, even if someone’s not being funny is a great way to flirt. There are other obvious ways to successfully flirt with a guy, as Rebecca Larue points out.
Watch the hilarious SNL skit below.
When Robyn was announced as the music guest on last week’s episode of Saturday Night Live, the writers had to pay homage to the incredibly talented Swedish perform somehow.
SNL actor Taran Killam spoofed Robyn’s video for “Call Your Girlfriend” which uses a singel camera shot while she dances alone, wildly. Taran tried to match the video outfit as close as possible and even tries to emulate the club-like lighting by getting a coworker to flick around a flashlight.
At the 2-minute mark you can see Taran try to pull off the same gymnastic dance moves Robyn successfully does in the video. Taran’s dance space is very limited compared to Robyn’s but he never breaks character, and that’s something to applaud him for.
Watch Taran’s take on “Call Your Girlfriend” below, before checking out Robyn’s original video.
It first started with a Twitter account, and now there’s an official video poking fun at the way girls communicate. Shit Girls Say was started by Graydon Sheppard and Kyle Humphrey. Graydon also appears as a girl in the video, alongside actress and musician Juliette Lewis.
As a girl, I can safely say the video is a fair representation of the shit we say. We DO complain about nearly everything, all the time, and we DO expect everyone to listen to us when we talk about mundane things.
“Can you fix my computer?” is often heard at work or at school. We don’t really know much about computers other than checking email and updating Facebook statuses.
“Could you not do that please?” is vocalized a lot on public buses, food courts, libraries and even churches.
“I had to get up at like, seven in the morning!” is said a lot, specifically around 1 a.m. as we proceed to get shit-fasted at the local bar.
“Wait…did I lock the door?…..Yes, I did!” Forgetting to lock our door or turning off the curling iron are things we tend to forget the most. The Fire Dept. can attest to that.
“Shut up!” is what we say when you actually want you to keep on spilling the beans on that slutty girl on campus.
“AHHHHHWEUIHIURHTEEHEEHEEHEEYAYYAYAYAY!” is our way of greeting one another. Deal with it.
“I’m like, not even joking right now” is code for we’re totally joking. I’m not even joking.
It’s posted on everyone’s Facebook wall, it’s been retweeted by a lot of celebrities and it’s even talked about on the six o’clock news.
Jonah Mowry is a 14-year-old gay student living in California. He made a video back in August, writing down all his feeling about being bullies in school while Sia’s “Breathe Me” plays in the background. Some of the notes he wrote down include “I’ve cut…a lot. I have scars. Suicide was an option…many times.”
Four months later, people are taking more notice of the video. A second video was posted earlier this week showing the teen in a happier state of mind, and therefore everyone was quick to assume Jonah was acting in his first video.
“I’m disappointed that somebody could look at the first video and then look at the second and think it’s a lie,” his mom, Peggy Sue Mowry told ABC News.
She says her son has gotten a lot of online support. Ricky Martin and Perez Hilton were really affected by his video.
Jonah being brave enough to talk about homophobia and teen bullying really sets the bar for schools to initiative in dealing with these issues. This past year, there have been reports of suicides and even murders of gay teens. Jonah is simply helping everyone begin that conversation so that young kids don’t go to school feeling like they want to die.
If you haven’t seen this honest and heart-wrenching video yet, please do. Don’t be afraid to share it with your friends. You never know whose life you’ll change.
Drake has become a big enough celebrity to accumulate a couple of spoof videos. Drake’s the one rapper everyone wants to work with on their next album, so why wouldn’t people want to be impersonating him?
Actor Affion Crockett is the latest star to make a spoof video on the Canadian rapper. Affion’s been in C list movies like Dance Flick and Miss Congeniality 2 but with this new role of his, he gets an A!
He tackles on the artist’s eye moustaches (eyebrows) to the beat of the hit song “Headlines”.
“Comb through it, please comb through it….That’s the way that they grow. They grow, they grow, they grow,” Affion sings the chorus.
It’s a really hilarious song that obviously took the actor a lot of time to recreate. He also touches upon Drake’s race.
“My mom and daddy only wanted really light skinned children. That’s why my eyebrows grow faster than Lil Wayne had children. They can’t tell if Im black, white or a F-ing alien,” he sings.
We’re listening and laughing our butts off at this spoof. This dude almost gives Wierd Al Yankovic a run for his money.
