No More ‘Twilight’ For Rachelle Lefevre

Just like many “Twilight” fans out there, Rachelle Lefevre — the Canadian who plays the evil red-headed vampire in “Twilight” and “New Moon” — was just as shocked to find out her character Victoria has been recast.

“I was stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria for ‘Eclipse,’ ” said Lefevre in a statement released Wednesday (July 29). The statement was released less than 24 hours after Summit Entertainment announced the Canadian actress would be replaced by “Lady in the Water” star Bryce Dallas Howard in the third “Twilight” installment.

“I was fully committed to the ‘Twilight’ saga and to the portrayal of Victoria,” the statement continued. “I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules.”

She sites her small role in a Dustin Hoffman/ Paul Giamatti film called “Barney’s Version” is conflicting with the “Eclipse’s” schedule.

“My commitment to ‘Barney’s Version’ is only 10 days,” the actress explained. “Summit picked up my option for ‘Eclipse.’ Although the production schedule for ‘Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those 10 days and would not accommodate me.”

Victoria Secret Promises High-End Show

If you’re a fan of fashion or simply want to get a healthy dose of dazzling eye candy, tune into The Victoria Secret Runway Show Tuesday night at 10 pm on CBS.

The show features high fashion runway models Gisele Bundchen, Selita Ebanks, Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Calgary native Heather Marks.

The event takes place at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood with Justin Timberlake opening up the show with hits from his latest album, “Future Sex/Love Sounds.”

Timberlake will be the first performer ever to perform alongside the towering beauties.

“Timberlake opens the show and he’s the first performer to ever actually interact with the girls on the runway. No one’s ever done that before,” said the fashion show’s executive producer, Ed Razek.

A star studded audience was in attendance including none other than Paris Hilton, Ciara, and Kristen Cavallari.

Victoria Beckham Not Pregnant

Conflicting reports surfaced this week about Victoria Beckham being pregnant with her and husband David Beckham’s fourth child.

David reportedly confirmed the pregnancy on a Spanish talk show, but a source tells People he misunderstood the question and Victoria aka “Posh Spice” is not actually pregnant.

The couple are already parents to sons Brooklyn, 7, Romeo, 3, and Cruz, 1.

Beckham Steps Down As England’s Captain

Soccer-player-turned-international-celebrity David Beckham announced he would step down as England’s captain after the team was defeated by Portugal in the quarter finals of the World Cup.

“I feel the time is right to pass on the armband as we enter a new era under new coach Steve McClaren,” Beckham, 31, said at a press conference in Germany.

Beckham was crowned the captain in 2000 by England caretaker manager Peter Taylor.

“On 15 November 2000 Peter Taylor gave me the greatest honour of my career in making me the captain of England, fulfilling my childhood dream,” Beckham said through tears. “It has been an honour and a privilege to have captained our country and I want to stress that I wish to continue to play for England and look forward to helping both the new captain and Steve McClaren in any way I can.”

Beckham, who is married to former Spice Girl Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham, was forced to leave the game against Portugal due to a leg injury.

“Our performance during this World Cup has not been enough to progress further and both myself and all the players regret that and are hurt by that more than people realise,” he said. “I wish to thank all the players for their support during my time as captain, as well as Peter Taylor, Sven and all the coaches.

“I would also like to thank the press and, of course, all the England supporters who have both been great to me and my team-mates. I want them to know for me it has been an absolute honour.”
