Rihanna just debuted her River Island Collection during London Fashion Week which officially gives her an invitation to the celebrity fashion designers club.
Celebrities can be great people to look up to when looking for style inspiration, but some celebs are a little bit easier to channel sartorially than others as you can purchase a little bit of them through their own fashion lines. However not every celebrity-turned-designer are as good as others.
Let us guide you through the messy world of celebrity fashion lines to see which celebrity fashion lines you should save your change for. We break down who’s worthy of becoming a fashion brand, who’s merely a hit, and who should keep their day job in one handy dandy list.

Where to begin with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen? The famous duo got their start in the entertainment industry at the ripe ol’ age of six month, when the fraternal twins took turns playing baby sister Michelle Tanner on Full House. That was only the beginning and they went on to build an empire worth over one billion dollars. Apart from the iconic role of Michelle Tanner and their many movies and other T.V. shows, the twins managed to create a name for themselves within the fashion industry.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen top our list because not only have they had a head start in the business than most celebrities, their many fashion lines have managed to boost their fledgling adult acting careers and have given them a new sense of purpose and career path. Their many successful fashion lines have been the envy of other celebrities since they are quintessentially the blueprint for other celebrity fashion lines. The sisters have all markets covered from luxury brand The Row, to mid-market brand Elizabeth & James (the Elizabeth is for their sister who has now become a in-demand actress herself), and Olseneboye which is an exclusive partnership with mass-market department store JC Penney.
So not only are their fashions available to everyone which score major points, but when other celebrities where your clothes then you know you’ve made it as a fashion designer.
Verdict: Major Fashion Brand- for their mass market and high fashion appeal and high-end and low-end price ranges.
2) Victoria Beckham: Victoria Beckham Collection, dvb, and Victoria by Victoria Beckham.
While as Posh Spice, Victoria Beckham wasn’t the usual centre of the attention as she had to compete with the more in-your-face members of the iconic girl group, the Spice Girls. But now that she’s been on her own, Victoria probably commands the most attention from the public than any of the other members of the Spice Girls. While she did attempt and ultimately floundered at a solo pop career, Victoria has maintained her A-list status as a major fashion icon– all thanks to her impeccable fashion sense, her superstar athlete of a husband David Beckham, and her trademark pout.
What makes Victoria Beckham’s fashion lines so successful is that she’s the best brand ambassador for her clothing. Wonder what she’s wearing in all those various paparazzi shots of her? Well she’s most likely wearing her own clothes! Other stars have taken notice as well, having been spotted and photographed wearing clothes from Victoria’s collections. What she’s wearing: K-Stew busted out a Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2013 romper to promote the final Twilight movie in Tokyo, Japan.
Why we love it: This look is fresh off the Paris Fashion Week and I couldn’t be more stoked that Stewart chose to wear this look. Stewart is finally coming into her own red carpet style and leaving her naysayers in the dust. The black and white checks is a cool design feature that feels refreshing due to the simplicity and large size of the pattern. Also it’s a romper which makes it all the more fun. The outfit looks very mod but still modern.
Takeaway: Designers are giving a fashion twist to plaids and checkered patterns so be on the lookout for some funkier versions of these everyday patterns. Also opting for a black and white look can be a very safe choice, so do black and white in a cool pattern that keeps the look modern.
Victoria Beckham
What she’s wearing: Posh Spice was spotted out and about in New York City in a Comme des Garçons floral print blouse and J Brand high-waist bell bottom jeans.
Why we love it: We all know that Ms. Beckham can pull off a skin-tight mini dress like no other, so it’s always nice to see her in pants, separates, and prints. Her floral blouse is in a nice brown that pops with bright reds and yellows. Also Beckham just oozes fashion that she manages to make these high-waisted bell bottom jeans high fashionable and not mom-jeany (sorry Anne Hathaway).
Takeaway: High-waisted jeans are not for everybody so if you are self-conscious about your derrière or your tummy you might want to stay away. However bell bottom or flare jeans are actually flattering to most body types so they are a safer bet when you want to change up the types of jeans you wear.

HIT: Daniel Radcliffe parties with an Irish soccer team like a boss
Daniel Radcliffe pulled a Bill Murray and thus, making him “Awesome Person of the Week.” Apparently, Radcliffe was walking around Dublin, Ireland at 4 a.m. when he ran into Dublin’s minor Gaelic Football team. The team just came off of winning the All Ireland title and they invited Radcliffe to join in on the festivities. Radcliffe hung out with their team at a house party for two hours and was even drinking out of their trophy. Now I can truly say I want to party like a wizard.
MISS: Kanye West might have two sex tapes floating around
TMZ is reporting that not one, but TWO, sex tapes with Kanye are being shopped around. Apparently, one of the ladies Kanye was with looks like Kim Kardashian. Obviously, that revelation has sparked rumours that it is Kim in the videos and was filmed while she was supposedly still with Kris Humphries. Ew! Why? This is just another piece of Kanye-Kim info I did not need to know. Ever.
HIT: Lil’ Wayne opens skate park in New Orleans
When he’s not making weird depositions in court, Lil’ Wayne can often be found skating. It would only make sense for Lil’ Wayne to have his own skatepark. Instead of making one in his own backyard, the rapper decided to open a public skatepark in his hometown of New Orleans. His Trukstop park was constructed within a building that survived Hurricane Katrina and will be opened to the public seven days a week. Thanks to Wayne, the skate-obsessed youths of New Orleans now have a new place to skate without risking running into the cops.
MISS: Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong checks into rehab after Bieber flip-out
Green Day front-man Billie Joe Armstrong had a bit of a freak out at a iHeartRadio Music festival in Las Vegas last week. Armstrong was given the one-minute warning mark which prompted him to start a expletive-laced tirade, including, “What the f*ck! I’m not f*cking Justin Bieber, you mother*ckers.” Apparently, he was drinking a lot before Green Day’s set and has since checked into a rehab facility as of Sunday. Hopefully Armstrong can conquer living with his addiction. We’d all like to hear some more Green Day.

MISS: Paris Hilton was caught on tape making ignorant comments
Paris Hilton might as well pretend she’s filming The Simple Life 24/7 because she keeps getting caught doing stupid things. This time, a cab driver taped Hilton saying some pretty ignorant things about gay men. The heiress was with an openly gay model who was trying to explain Grindr, an app gay men use to find hook-ups. “Ewww. Eww. To get fucked?,” she was taped saying. “Gay guys are the horniest people in the world… They’re disgusting. Dude, most of them probably have AIDS.” While she’s since released an apology, I haven’t taken anything she’s done seriously since episode one of The Simple Life.

What they’re wearing: The quintet performed at the London Olympic closing ceremony dressed in very dapper casualwear. What you see is an array of slim-fit chinos, crisp button-ups, converse sneakers, tailored jackets, and of course Zayn’s fedora.
Why we love it: The band coordinated their looks in a cool and neutral colour scheme, which consisted of blues, greys, and whites. This way, they each maintained their own respective styles while looking like a cohesive group. (Hence no real outstanding favourite!) Together, the looks are the perfect balance of dressed-up and relaxed cool, which makes sense for such an important occasion (I’m looking at you hoodie-wearing Ed Sheeren!). While the Olympics are an important international event, the closing ceremony is essentially a big farewell party.
Takeaway You can essentially wear any of these looks for day or night. Well, perhaps not Harry’s suit, but a well-tailored suit is still a must-have regardless! Sidenote: last week I talked about untucked shirts — well untucked shirts become hipper with a buttoned collar button.
Mel C (aka Sporty Spice)
What she’s wearing: Sporty Spice joined the other Spice Girls in a custom JD Sports jumpsuit at the 2012 London Olympic closing ceremony.
Why we love it: While One Direction coordinated their looks, we knew the Spice Girls were gonna give us a major fashion show. How can they not with fashion icon Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) in the mix? I know picking a single Spice Girl as best dressed is controversial because everyone has their favourite Spice Girl. But when it comes down to it, Melanie C. was a total standout amongst the other ladies and yet stayed true to her Sporty Spice style in this white jumpsuit. The outfit has a killer silhouette, is embellished with a sparkly rhinestone belt, has slits in the side to show off some skin, and is accessorized with silver high-heeled sneakers that any serious sneaker-lover would die for.
Takeaway: While the silhouette might be a little much for everyday, try rocking a flare jean and pant to change things up. The skinny leg has become the standard silhouette for pants and jeans but going with a flare or a wide-leg trouser will make you look fashion forward (major upcoming trend!) and will flatter most body types.
Silver goes to: Mel B/Scary Spice gets points for wearing a risqué glittery beaded catsuit by Zuhair Murad. Bronze to Emma/Baby Spice for wearing a modern architectural neon pink Maggie Cook dress. A good job but I expected more from Posh in her black Giles Deacon mullet gown and Geri/Ginger Spice in her strapless red mini and ruffled Union Jack by Suzanne Neville.
Robert Pattinson
What he’s wearing: The English actor wore a steel blue Gucci suit to the premiere of his new movie Cosmopolis in New York City.
Why we love it: Despite all the personal drama going on his life right now, Pattinson had us feeling blue in a good way. The varying shades of blue keeps this look cool and sophisticated. Although it’s a small detail, the textured black tie gives it that something extra. BTW sometimes suits tend to look the same so it’s actually all in the details and cut. The leather lace-ups keep things polished. R-Patz is also giving One Direction’s Zayn a run for his money with that loose and casual bouffant of his.
Takeaway: Monochromatic outfits (those in varying shades of one colour) can be tricky but quite remarkable if pulled off correctly. Try staying within a shade range so that the colour transitions from one shade to the next, without jumping from one extreme to another. Also note that two-button jackets are flattering for most-guys and are on-trend.

The recent British invasion of musicians has come with The Wanted, Cher Lloyd, One Direction, Conor Maynard — the list goes on. One female 90s group in particular that made all the girls feel like they had ‘GIRL POWER’ is the Spice Girls and they’re reuniting, but probably only for one night.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Spice Girls are expected to re-unite to perform at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony. During a radio interview earlier this week, Posh Spice aka Victoria Beckham said, “I don’t know about a comeback tour, but I loved being back with the girls. We are very excited about the Olympics.” If the reports are true (we are totz crossing our fingers about this) the gals will join George Michael, Jessie J, Take That and The Who.
The group recently reunited in London to launch Viva Forever! a new musical based on their hit songs that is set to be out at the end of the year. Hopefully it goes worldwide because there is no way I am missing this!
Considering The Hunger Games’ Katniss Everdeen has wicked archery skills, Spain’s El Hormiguero naturally decided to test her on the spot by attaching panes of glass to several volunteers and having her shoot them with arrows. The dummies zigzagged across the stage for an added challenge.
I think Lawrence ultimately hit more targets than the host but her arrows don’t stick for some reason, plus she gets added points for doing it all in a Victoria Beckham dress and black heels.
In the meantime, her kickass skills should get everyone excited for Catching Fire!

Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Mel B (a.k.a. Scary Spice) has revealed during a recent interview on Australian television that the girls are definitely getting back together this summer. But it won’t be for the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony…
“I think the Queen’s Jubilee concert is the event I’d be looking at more closely for that to happen,” the 36-year-old said before catching herself blabbering too much and quickly changing the subject. But according to The Sun, Brown told TV crew members backstage: “I am going to be in such strife for saying that. It’s all so totally bloody top-secret still.”
Expect them all: Victoria “Posh” Beckham, Geri “Ginger” Halliwell, Emma “Baby” Bunton and Melanie “Sporty” Chisholm.
“I’m always down for a Spice Girls reunion,” Brown said. “I love the Scary hair and platforms. Any time of day or night I’ll be there.”
It’ll mark Queen Elizabeth II’s 60-year reign at at the Diamond Jubilee on June 4th – the audience will include Prince William and Kate Middleton.
The girls had a successful comeback tour in 2007, but ended up cutting it short due to “family commitments”.

In a recent interview with Hello! magazine, Emma Bunton revealed that she and fellow ex-Spice Girl Victoria Beckham swap baby advice on a regular basis following the births of Bunton’s son, Tate Lee Jones, in May, and the birth of Beckham’s daughter, Harper Seven, a few weeks back.
“As soon as we can possibly meet up, we will. But for the moment we’re making do with emails,” Bunton told Hello! magazine. “We’ve been swapping bits of advice and photos and sharing our excitement.”
It’s so nice to see the Spice Girls are still close with each other! It definitely fills the void that has grown in every Spice Girl fan over the years since their break. In fact, Bunton’s fellow former Spice Girl members were the first to send flowers after she gave birth to Tate, with little notes and all. “That is always special to me, to get those from the girls,” Bunton said.
“The relationship we girls have will always be special. Now our kids are friends too and as they grow, it will be wonderful to watch them all and the different stages in their lives,” continued Bunton. Who knows, maybe their kids will form a group of their own one day! Can you say Spice Girl Juniors, anyone?
Celebrity pinup couple Victoria and David Beckham have given birth to a baby girl (well Victoria did at least). The baby popped out Sunday morning in Los Anegeles, reports PEOPLE.
The baby girl has not been named, but she is weighing in at 7 lbs., 10 oz.
“Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family,” says Beckham spokesperson Jo Milloy.
If her parents are any indication, expect to see the unnamed baby on a runway in 15-20 years.
Victoria Beckham is due to give birth today in Los Angeles. This will be the fourth child for her and husband David Beckham.
The child is apparently a girl, reports UK’s Daily Mirror. The couple already have three boys together - Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn.
Unfortunately due to Victoria’s c-section, don’t expect the young Mom to be wearing anything too revealing in the near future.
Victoria Beckham and husband David have asked Eva Longoria to be the godmother of their new daughter, reports Digital Spy.
The couple are due next month, and have chosen the ‘Desperate Housewives’ star as the godmother among other friends like Gordon and Tana Ramsay and Heidi Klum and husband Seal.
Brooklyn and Romeo, their two sons, have famous godparents as well – Sir Elton John and Liz Hurley. Talk about lucky kids.
“Victoria ran it past David and they both want Eva,” a source told The Sun. “She’s extremely honored.”
Longoria is a long time friend of Beckham, and is reportedly thrilled over the news. ”She’s very loyal and very, very funny. Everyone loves her,” Longoria says of Beckham.

David and Victoria Beckham are welcoming a baby girl into their family, a source tells Perez Hilton. The two stars have three boys, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and Cruz, six, but will welcome their first daughter into the family. I have no doubt in my mind that Victoria will dress her in Chanel and Prada baby clothes.
David made the announcement at an LA Galaxy press conference on Friday, March 11. Earlier, on Wednesday, David made a visit to the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital and said his wife is feeling good in her fifth month of pregnancy.
“She’s great, she’s very healthy. She’s feeling good. She’s in London at the moment working,” the Daily Mail quoted David. ”We’re very excited. It’s an exciting time for the family,” he added.
I’m so happy that they got a girl, I’m betting they really wanted one to balance out their three younger boys. Every parent says “oh, it doesn’t matter what sex it is!” but I know they are lying. Victoria, without a doubt, wants a little girl to dress up and go shopping with. I can just imagine the luxurious and brand-filled closet that little girl will have. Either that, or the daughter will be a true daddy’s girl and be into sports. Then, she will have the best coach to help her improve her game. So either way, it’s a win-win for this baby!
Victoria hardly looks pregnant, though. I mean – she’s in her fifth month of pregnancy and has only the slightest bump (if you can call it that). I don’t understand, does she not eat? Is this pregnancy a scam? Put on some weight, posh, it’s in style to have a belly during pregnancy!
Victoria Beckham is denying reports that she knows the sex of her forthcoming child.
The former Spice Girl has openly announced that she has no idea whether her next child with David Beckham will be a boy or a girl, but she seems excited either way.
When asked what the Beckham children thought of her pregnancy, Victoria said “They’re excited about having a little brother to teach how to play soccer. But, if it’s a girl, we’d be over the moon as well.”

And what flawless timing! The baby announcement must be a happy break for David, who’s been receiving lots of negative press regarding his alleged extramarital activity. Beckham has been accused of sleeping with a prostitute, who was quickly sued by Beckham’s crack legal team, and with a married woman, whose millionaire husband cited the affair in their divorce proceedings.
We sure hope all’s well in Beckhamland and that this new baby isn’t a last-ditch effort to save the high-profile couple’s marriage.

The Spice Girls are reuniting for a full-scale comeback, reports Perez Hilton, but Victoria Beckham, known to fans as Posh Spice, will not be joining her former bandmates in their efforts, saying she doesn’t have the “time or desire” to resurrect the pop group.

“The judges and production team have been having a lot of fun with Victoria,” said a source for the show. “She’s had a great response so far, and has been really warm with the contestants.”

The “Mission Impossible” actor has asked the former Spice Girls star to remain quiet about diet and food, because of concerns that Holmes was getting too thin. “Tom was firm but polite. He said that, although he understood Victoria thought she was only trying to help Katie to lose weight after Suri’s birth, he didn’t want her swapping any more diet tips with Katie in future,” said a source close to Cruise.
Beckham is known for her slender figure and is doing the best she can to refrain from discussing food whenever the she is with Holmes.
“She hasn’t mentioned food and diet once around Katie since then. And when they’ve been out for meals together, she’s made a real effort not to comment on what anyone’s eating, and to try to order more food herself – even if she doesn’t touch it once it’s on her plate.”
British soccer stud and underwear model David Beckham revealed a hot new tattoo on Sunday.
Fans were puzzled as to the meaning of the ink scrawled down his left side. Beckham’s rep revealed to PageSix.com that “The tattoo is written in traditional Mandarin Chinese and is an old Chinese proverb that says: ‘Death and life have determined appointments, Riches and honors depends upon heaven.’ David got the tattoo while the L.A. Galaxy were in Hong Kong for their pre-season tour of Asia.”
Beckham and his Spice Girls wife Victoria have several tattoos, and have even been inked together.
Beckham wrote about the meaning behind his tattoos in his book, “David Beckham: Both Feet On the Ground.” “Mine are all about the people in my life, my wife and sons, who I want to have with me always,” he said. “When you see me, you see the tattoos.
