Vanity Fair revealed that their April cover girl is none-other than Taylor Swift on Tuesday. The magazine also released a preview of the accompanying interview to help promote the issue. Just within that snippet was the key to make the internet turn on the country singer. Swift unwisely decided to comment on the time funny ladies and rulers of the world Amy Poehler and Tina Fey made a joke about her at this year’s Golden Globes.
Taylor was quoted as saying: “You know, Katie Couric is one of my favorite people…Because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, ‘There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women.’”
One, that’s a quote from famed feminist Madeleine Albright and two, no one messes with Poehler and Fey, and I mean no one. Because this is the kind of class you’ll be met with:
“Aw, I feel bad if she was upset,” Poehler told the Hollywood Reporter. “I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff. ”
and this:
“If anyone was going to get mad at us, I thought it would be James Cameron,” said Fey to ETOnline.com. “I did not see that one coming. It was a joke, it was a lighthearted joke.”
For the record, if Amy Poehler and Tina Fey made a joke about me, I would be crying because a) they knew of my existence and b) how potentially awesome that joke was.

Anyways, if Amy Poehler is going to hell for making fun of Taylor Swift or tax stuff, there should also be special places in Hades’ underworld for people who:
… put their bags on an empty seat when the bus is full
… don’t squeeze the toothpaste from the bottom of the tube

… say bagel, Read more…

Kristen Stewart looks GORG on the July cover of Vanity Fair. She’s one of the more awkward members of Young Hollywood but jeez, guys, she’s just a regular person and I definitely appreciate that she doesn’t fit the archetype. Give her a break.
K-Stew got to chill with Karl Lagerfeld AND photographer Mario Testino at the shoot in Paris like it’s no big deal. ”It was the first time I ever had an actual conversation with him. He’s incredibly sweet. It felt like such an important moment in my life,” she said about meeting Lagerfeld. “It was very cool.”
Some of the couture looks are jaw-droppingly beautiful though I’d be afraid to walk around, lest it get a scuff mark.
Stewart, who’s currently starring in Snow White and the Huntsman also revealed to VF how she was a total tomboy when she was younger.
“Look at a picture of me before I was 15. I am a boy,” Stewart said. “I wore my brother’s clothes, dude! Not like I cared that much, but I remember being made fun of because I wasn’t wearing Juicy jeans.”

Lady Gaga is a lady in red as she graces the January cover of Vanity Fair.
After a whirlwind year of stunning performances and well-deserves awards, Lady Gaga chats with the magazine and reflects on her personal life, as Just Jarred reports.
The pop phenomenon says her fans help her get through tough relationships.
“When I fight with someone I’m in a relationship with, I think, What would my fans think if they knew this was happening? How would they feel about my work and about me as a female if they knew I was allowing this to go on?” she says.
Gaga also admits she gets a ton of proposals from past ex-boyfriends now that she’s famous. She says putting a ring on it, isn’t her goal.
“How f—in’ romantic, you a–hole. Sure, pop a ring on my finger and make it all better. I can buy myself a f—in’ ring.”
You got to love Gaga for always speaking her mind. She can be quite a role model when it comes to female empowerment and independence, a trait she doesn’t seem to get a lot of credit for these days.
The January edition of Vanity Fair hits newsstands December 6.
Here’s a trivia question – what’s the worst selling Vanity Fair issue in the past 12 years? Well hopefully you can figure it out by the title of this article – it’s Justin Bieber. Bieber was on the February cover, and it did not move copies like it was expected.
Now this is certainly surprising considering everything Justin Bieber touches is supposed to turn to gold. However Vanity Fair didn’t have the same luck. Now our theory on this (and it’s not that complex) is Justin Bieber fans do not read magazines. They read websites and spend time on their iPhones. And perhaps the people who would generally purchase Vanity Fair think Bieber is cute, but they are not going to plunk down cash to buy a magazine just because he is on the cover.
Nevertheless, andPOP introduced a Bieber product that received a great response! We invented Justin Bieber condoms, and we call them “Bieberdomes.” Surprisingly, we are still waiting to hear back from Bieber’s people about bringing them to market.
See below for the video where we introduced “Bieberdomes” to the world.
A flashy, sexually-charged pop star in her public persona, Katy Perry’s serious side comes out when interviews turn to her religious upbringing.
Raised by Christian missionary parents, Perry lived within an evangelical world that she now realizes was close-minded and limited.
“I didn’t have a childhood,” Perry said during an interview with Vanity Fair magazine.
“”I was always scared I was going to get bombed when I was there… I didn’t know it was more than that, that it was for women and their needs. I didn’t have insurance, so I went there and I learned about birth control.”
Perry also told the magazine that she wasn’t allowed to use words such as “Devil Dog” or “Dirt Devil”, and that her family was “very non-accepting.”
Now married to comedian Russell Brand, Perry is now a practicing Buddhist and doesn’t shy away from flaunting her sex appeal.
Meanwhile, Perry’s mother is now shopping a book about raising the star in which she says that she thinks her daughter could become a great televangelist.
“I recognized the psalmist gift in her performance. Yet she sang out, ‘I kissed a girl, and I liked it,’ while thousands joined her. One part of my heart soared… the other part broke for the thousands of hungry souls being fed something that didn’t nourish their spirit, but fed their flesh,” she said.
Well, at least her mother has become more accepting of Perry’s lifestyle!
To the dismay of thousands of teenage girls around the world, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have brought their relationship out of the closet at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. Right, because no one knew they were dating before this.
The two arrived at the Sunset Tower together with their arms around each other, Gomez admittedly a vision in red Dolce & Gabbana piece. Justin even matched his outfit with his girlfriend, adding a little flare of red in the form of a handkerchief in the pocket of his D&G black suit. If that doesn’t say couple, I don’t know what will!
“They were feeding each other with their forks and they definitely kissed. It was obvious they are totally enamored with one another and that the feelings are mutual either way,” a source told Perez Hilton.
If that isn’t enough, the two were seen together yesterday for the Biebs’ birthday. According to E! Online, the duo hit up Beverly Hills boutiques, visiting Louis Vuitton and Dolce & Gabbana – apparently the two can’t get enough Dolce! And it seems like it’s true love for this couple; they stopped a number of times to give each other a hug, and as usual, the paparazzi were not too far behind and documented every one. Oh pap, we know we can always count on you to get our daily dose of the Biebs!
But as usual, Gomez wasn’t the only girl on Bieber’s mind! Relax, it’s not Kim Kardashian or Beyonce this time – the other woman in his life is none other than his grandmother! On his birthday, the “Baby” singer tweeted, “great bday. flew in grandma and got my cake. hung out with friends. got surprised. and you all helped #makeachange with @charitywater.”
Way to make girls swoon over you even more by getting them to make mommy and daddy donate money to charity, Justin!
Although the singer just turned 17, I’m sure lots of girls are waiting for the magic 18…I know Kim is!

Britney Spears won’t pose nude for Vanity Fair, as was previously reported.
Life and Style magazine claimed the pregnant pop singer would recreate Demi Moore’s infamous 1991 nude cover shoot, but Brit’s spokesperson has since denied these claims.
Paparazzi did snap Britney leaving a Hollywood photo studio this past week, but sources say she was being photographed for the October cover of Elle. Her representative confirmed she would appear on Elle’s cover while pregnant and told the New York Post’s Page Six that she’d be “keeping all of her clothes on.”
Britney is set to give birth this fall and is also rumoured to be carrying twins.
