This has very little to do with entertainment news or music, however, this particular Tumblr account has taken the internet by storm. If you haven’t already experienced Texts From Bennett, give yourself a solid ten-minute break from work to laugh until it hurts.
As per the creator’s description, “These are text messages I exchange with my 17 year old cousin Bennett. He is a white boy that thinks he’s a crip, works at Amoco, has a girlfriend named Mercedes, and is one of the most unintentionally funny and brilliant souls on the planet. He has no idea I do this blog. Yes, this is 100% real.”
Bennett is a shining example of a kid who got picked on in high school and listened to way too much Tupac. His “hard as f**k” personality combined with neanderthal-like spelling, makes this blog worth bookmarking.
I sincerely hope they’re real. It would break my heart if this is yet another faux persona created to sell me something. Pictured below is the misunderstood urban prophet, the one they call Bennett. Enjoy!
Country star KEITH URBAN is planning a professional trip back to his native Australia after completing rehab treatment in California last month.
The singer will play five shows in his homeland in May – his first Australian tour in two years.
Urban is so desperate to thank Aussie fans who supported him during his three month battle with alcoholism, he’s even giving up an appearance at the Academy of Country Music Awards show in Las Vegas on 15 May to return home.
Urban will make his first televised appearance since his counseling this weekend on US show SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. He’ll play his first US tour since rehab this June.

Country star KEITH URBAN credits wife NICOLE KIDMAN and their “strong marriage” with helping him get through treatment for alcohol abuse.
Urban recently completed a 90-days stint in rehab and says his wife helped him handle the ordeal.
He explains, “We’ve gone through a lot in the last three months and I think it’s been the strength of our marriage (that) has carried both of us through.”
Urban slams claims that surfaced while he was in treatment that he’d had an affair with a lingerie model while he and Kidman were dating.
He adds, “I know and God knows where my heart is at. I waited 39 years before I got married. It means everything to me to be married.
“Like everybody, I really want to do it only once. I’m very loyal in that respect, and committing to somebody means once that ring is on, I’m gonna stay.”
