This girl sure has a set of pipes! Demi Lovato gave a flawless live performance of some songs off her third album, called Unbroken. The Lovatic fan favourites she performed were “Give Your Heart a Break,” “Catch Me,” “Don’t Forget,” “My Love Is Like a Star” (Demz fav!), “Skyscraper” and for the first time ever acoustically, “Fix a Heart.”
Between songs, Demi shared with her fans: “I get so nervous in front of smaller audiences than I do with tons of people, and I think because it’s so much more intimate.” She kicks off her US summer tour June 21.
Demi Lovato called into Ryan Seacrest this morning to confirm she will be starting a major tour.
“I put on a show in New York and in Los Angeles and I had such a good time that I wanted to do a few more shows before the holidays,” Demi tells On Air with Ryan Seacrest. “So, that’s what I’m gonna do! We’re still planning on what cities exactly. So, you’ll have to check in and see which cities I’ll be playing.”
Dates will be announced on October 14th when tickets go on sale.
Demi Lovato’s “Unbroken” is getting a lot of positive attention, and even critics like it. However, Demi says she doesn’t care what anybody else thinks.
She told MTV News, “So, if they’re good, awesome; if they’re bad, whatever.”
Billboard.com reports that she’ll likely sell about 110,000 copies of her album. ”I’m feeling really excited,” Lovato said. “The album just came out, so we’re really, really excited. And it seems to be doing well, so I’m really, really happy.
Demi Lovato says her new album “Unbroken” has been a growing experience for her, and ithas helped her mature into the next stage of life.
“I think it’s grown-up, but it’s not too grown-up,” Lovato told MTV News. “It’s not tasteless. It’s growing up with my fans. It’s [like] I’m not a kid anymore, but I’m also not a full-grown woman either. So I’m in that in-between stage, trying to figure out where that is. So I’m figuring it out, just like my fans are.”
She also spoke about the sound of the new album.
“This album is definitely more pop,” she said. “It’s definitely more R&B. It’s not so pop/rock anymore. I grew up listening to R&B, [and] I guess my rock thing was kind of like a phase.”
Demo Lovato has two upcoming concerts that sold out in 30 minutes, reports MTV News. One is at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City September 17 and the other is Club Nokia in Los Angeles on September 23.
“It definitely is [a preview]. I wanted to say thank you to my fans,” she said. “I wanted to show them how thankful I am for the support they gave me for ‘Skyscraper.’ At this point, ‘Skyscraper’ has done so well because of them, and I want to show them how thankful I am.
“And hopefully when I perform the concerts, Unbroken will be coming out. I’ll be really nervous to get back onstage for the first time since then, but I’ll be really excited,” Lovato said of her new album, which drops September 20.
So this might mean a bigger tour on the horizon. Stay tuned…..
