Sorry! We already picked our winners on Dec. 18!

It’s been quite a while since we heard a new song from our girl Taylor Swift, and even if you’re a guy, you have to admit every single of hers is catchy. Yes, it’s written about an ex-boyfriend (any guesses who it could be) and hopefully after he heard the song, got the point that it’s totally OVER.
Here at ANDPOP, not only do we love the artist’s original tracks but we love to see all the hidden talent over the internet. We recently rallied up our top covers from Fun, Skrillex and One Direction. Let us know if your faves made our faves list:
Pop/Punk: TeraBrite
No Instruments: Peter Hollens

Here at ANDPOP, we love hearing how different artists interpret one song. By changing the tempo and instrumentation, artists can alter the vibe of a track entirely. Suddenly, you might start digging a song you hated in the first place. Our minds were blown when we heard some amazing covers of Skrillex and One Direction. This week, we heard ten covers of Fun’s “Some Nights” that we can’t stop replaying.
Country Twang: 2 Carats Band (Shayna Rose and Elizabeth Shea)
Seasoned Pros: Walk Off The Earth (DUH) and Julia Nunes
“OMFG she’s so Rachel Berry” Version: TheLizLoughrey

Name: Tyler Ward
Song: “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Gotye
Why we’re obsessed: We’re so drawn to Tyler Ward’s authentic cover of Gotye’s addictive hit “Somebody That I Used to Know,” it’s insane how I can still hear his voice resonating. BUT that’s because I’ve been listening to this cover for hours. Literally!
I seriously love how different this acoustic cover is compared to the original, especially the way Tyler slows down the song and unexpectedly starts belting 2/3 through.
His stage presence is amazing and I totally felt like he was playing the perfect part of a heartbroken heartthrob, both physically and mentally. It’s a no-brainer his video has been viewed by over 180,000 people in only a few days!
Background: Starting off his YouTube channel in 2008, Tyler has been uploading covers from various genres and Top 40 hits, some of his own material and recordings with other YouTube stars. He’ll be on tour this fall in Europe, the USA and Canada to promote his first official album which will be coming out in two parts, the first in September and second in February!
