Nobody said rehab was going to be easy for Lindsay Lohan. PopEater reports one of the rules for her rehab stay at The Betty Ford Center includes a ban on Twitter.
According to a source Lindsay is “only allowed to use her phone for two hours a day, and only to keep in touch with family and close friends,” The New York Post reports.
“Before, she would repeatedly and compulsively e-mail her friends if she was ever in a situation where she felt lonely, and she would vent on Twitter,” the source continued.
A lesson for all of us, don’t bad mouth Justin Bieber or you will feel the wrath of his loyal army of fans. Sydney Dalton, a 20 year old woman who actually looks a lot younger, was obsessed with Justin Bieber but now has been bad mouthing the teen star via her YouTube channel. Now Bieber’s fans are out for blood.
Dalton along with some friends posted a video to her YouTube channel of her and some friends ripping posters of the teen pop star off of her walls. Bieber fans united and revolted, attacking Sydney over Twitter, and even sending her death threats. See the video below for to see what caused all the controversy.
You know you’re powerful when you can shut down a party without even having to show up at it.
Diddy scheduled a crazy 4th of July party at the Harrah’s Casino in Atlantic City, but it had to be shut down before the star even had the chance to get there, reports Perez Hilton.
According to Hilton’s sources, police were called in to close down the club after over 500 uninvited party-goers tried to get inside the shindig. The casino called the party shut down a “proactive decision” to keep the 1,800 or so actually invited guests safe.
“I just shut down Atlantic City!” Diddy said on his Twitter. “The party was so crazy I couldn’t even get in! 10 thousand people showed up. …I was ready to party!”
Tough luck, Diddy. Tough luck.
Perez Hilton visited The Joy Behar Show on Thursday in a further attempt to clear his name, reports MTV News.
The internet blew up after Perez tweeted a link to an image of Miley exiting a car while appearing to not have any underwear on. The gossip blogger was flooded with accusations of posting child pornography, prompting him to remove the link.
Perez on seems to think that the whole situation is an exaggeration, saying Miley definitely was wearing underwear and blaming the response he received on America’s “very dirty imagination.”
“I feel like if everyone saw this image in question, they would clearly see that you’re not seeing anything down there that you’re not supposed to,” says Hilton. “It’s definitely not child pornography, and it’s definitely not illegal.”
Perez says that he only posted a link to the image because he wanted to show everyone Miley’s “shocking behaviour of late,” and saying, “The point of me choosing that one photo is because it was showing Miley getting out of the car in an unladylike fashion.”
Even though Perez says that posting the photo was “not actually doing anything worse than Miley herself has been doing recently,” he took the link down.
Yes. You did in fact read that correctly.
The SCRAM bracelet that Lindsay Lohan is being forced to wear has its very own Twitter account, reports PerezHilton
Scram Bracelet (@FreckleLeech) describes itself as “thoughts from the snowy white freckle fields of Lindsay Lohan’s left ankle.”
With over 2,000 followers already, FreckleLeech has been tweeting such insightful things as “Really bummed we aren’t at #LeDeux. Really, REALLY bummed. Instead we stayed at home and watched Heidi try to cry on #TheHills,” and “You guys! I’m like the table the Treaty of Versailles was signed on! #PapaAndMamaLohanGetAlongNow.”
FreckleLeech came into the Twitterverse on June 1. Let’s see how long she (he? We won’t go there) lasts.
Lindsay Lohan might have escaped jail time for now, but she is stuck with an alcohol-monitoring SCRAM bracelet that she has to wear on her ankle, and that could cause some more trouble.
Even if she does stay away from the booze, the little thing still might be able to annoy Judge Martha Revel, reports E! Online. Lindsay sent out a tweet Thursday asking for some help to make the ankle-accessory look a little more red carpet worthy.
“Can CHANEL please help me out by getting me some stickers to put on my scram bracelet so that i can at least wear a chic dress?! maybe!?,” Lohan asked via Twitter.
Kathleen Brown of Alcohol Monitoring Systems, the company the makes the SCRAM products, told E! Online that offenders “are financially responsible for any damage, or losing the bracelet and/or base station. [They] must pay for repairs up to replacement cost of $1,500.”
Though it may not directly land her in any legal trouble, altering the SCRAM bracelet’s appearance likely wouldn’t impress Revel.
Hayley Williams is the most recent celebrity victim of having their Twitter account hacked.
MTV reports the twitpic shows a topless Hayley Williams staring into the camera, which was available to her 600,000 followers. The photo was removed shortly thereafter.
Williams later commented, “Well … my night just changed drastically. Got hacked.”
Heidi Montag is happy. Or she wants you to think she is. Despite all the reports that the The Hills star has no friends and no feeling in her face, Montag has taken to Twitter to clear things up, reports perezhilton.com.
She tweets:
“My last surgery was the BEST decision of my life! Anything else anyone says (family members who are trying to make money off me) is a lie!
I have never felt sexier, happier, or more amazing in my own skin. I truly look the way I have always dreamed, I love America and freedom!
You will get to know the true me and my REAL life VERY soon, under all my plastic haha! not the Superficial “me” you read about and watch!!!
PS I HAVE NO FRIENDS, the ones who are pretending to be ‘friends’ or ‘family’, are crazy, angry, broke, and bitter this is why they haven’t been in my life for years! LIARS!”
Well, at least she admitted to the no friends thing.
Silly Beach House, didn’t your mamas ever tell you that imitation is the highest form of flattery? They did and you’re still angry? Fair enough.
Here’s the sitch. Alternative pop duo Beach House released an album called “Teen Dream” in November, 2009. And it’s just been found out that pop singer Katy Perry is set to release a new album this August. What’s it called, you ask? “Teenage Dream.”
Granted Beach House does not technically own the name “Teen Dream,” but come on. This is a little much.
Yesterday (May 10) Beach House Tweeted (@BeachHouse2010): “Can’t believe this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenage_Dream, and not in a good way, guess we have to write a song called ‘i kiss a girl,’” referring to Perry’s scandal-smash song “I Kissed A Girl.”
The Wikipedia page they link to is one that describes Perry’s new album in all its copy-cat glory.
We’re not telling you whose side to be on, but we will say that Beach House’s “Teen Dream” was absolute musical magic and that they are awesome. But no really, it’s up to you.
Cycling legend Lance Armstrong announced over Twitter that he is expecting his fifth child. This is the second child for Lance and his girlfriend Anna Hansen.
Armstrong confirmed the news to his hometown paper, the Austin American Statesman, which also reported the new baby could be named Jack or Olivia once he or she arrives this fall, reports PEOPLE.
Sri Lankan-born hip hop singer M.I.A. got angry at her label via Twitter when her violent music video for “Born Free” was deleted from YouTube just hours after its release yesterday (April 26), reports E!Online.
“F— UMG WHO WON’T SHOW IT ON YOUTUBE! FOR THE U.S.,” the singer, real name Mathangi Arulpragasam, tweeted (UMG stands for her label, Universal Music Group). Still, she quickly took back the statement when she found out that it was YouTube itself, not Universal Music, that took the video down: “OK, NOT UMG FAULT!,” she tweeted next.
Directed by Romain Gavras, the video portrays the United States as a fascist state, showing a S.W.A.T. team’s raid of a downtown Los Angeles apartment building. The cops round up redheaded men, then take them to the desert and execute them in extreme ways: one boy is shot straight-on in the head, another is blown up by a bomb.
Apparently, though, it was the level of violence, and not the political views, that got the video taken from YouTube, with a representative saying the video violated the site’s terms of use due to “gratuitous violence.”
M.I.A. recently told Britain’s Radio 1 that “Born Free” “was the first [song] recorded for the album” and that “at the time [of recording], a lot of things were bottled up. It was a good start.”
The singer has never been afraid to stir up controversy and has often been the victim of criticism for her views.
Even though the video can no longer be found on YouTube, it is still streaming on her official website. Her new, still-untitled album is due out in June. Here’s the tracklist, thanks to a tweet by Pitchfork:
1. “The Message”
2. “Born Free”
3. “Meds and Feds”
4. Lovealot”
5. Tequilla”
6. “It Is What It Is”
7. “XXXO”
8. “Tell Me Why”
9. “Story Told”
10. “Space”
Spencer Pratt has made it very vocal that he is not happy Lauren Conrad maybe making a comeback on “The Hills.”
Rumors have been spreading that Conrad could appear in the last 12 episodes of the series. Spencer takes extra offense to this possible development as he has been banned from the show.
To express his anger, Pratt took to his Twitter account, leaving some unfavorable comments about Conrad. “Is it true that you want back to the hills. Nobody cared about you the first round or second. What about your boyfriend u pay?”
He continued with a total of 14 tweets. Some of the highlights include “Just make sure you pack no bikinis for your trip back on the hills. Still sick from photos I saw of u in a gutter 3 years ago.”
Conrad has yet to respond to these comments, which is probably in her best interest. Pratt is either the dumbest guy on Earth or is being paid by MTV to start trouble as a publicity stunt. Let’s hope he’s not that dumb and its the latter.
So, another one bites the dust. It turns out that Paris Hilton can’t keep it together as her and now ex-boyfriend Doug Reinhardt, 24, broke up, according to People.com.
There have numerous conflicting reports about the couple’s status, but now the 29-year-old heiress’s rep confirmed they broke up “weeks ago.”
The two managed to stay together for the past 14 months but this wasn’t the first time the couple has had problems – they broke up last June, but later reconciled.
Reinhardt is known for his appearance on MTV’s The Hills, as well as for playing in the minor leagues for baseball.
And in true Hollywood fashion, Hilton has already tweeted about rumors that she was not getting cozy next to Kim Kardashian’s ex-boyfriend, NFL star, Reggie Bush. Hilton tweeted:
“Aside from being @ the same club, Reggie and I didn’t even say hi to each other. I was there with my sister and friends. “
This is an article we didn’t think we would ever have to write. Jim Carrey is splitting with Jenny McCarthy. Yes. You read that correctly – we will give you a second to digest this.
The couple jointly made the announcement via Twitter. “I’m so grateful for the years Jim and I had together. I will stay committed to Jane and will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart,” McCarthy wrote.
Carrey also had kind words to share about McCarthy. “Jenny and I have just ended our 5yr relationship. I’m grateful 4 the many blessings we’ve shared and I wish her the very best!”
The couple had dated since December 2005 but Carrey never came up with a ring. With a girl like McCarthy we think he is crazy for not doing so. Carrey is an awesome guy but that’s Jenny McCarthy. You don’t let someone like that slip away!
Girls everywhere will be happy to know that one Jonas brother is back on the market. Although Joe Jonas is still going strong with 17-year-old singer Demi Lovato, and with Kevin being happily married, that leaves Nick standing alone, People.com reports.
The pop star split with on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez about three weeks ago. The couple never publicly confirmed they were back together, but a source says, “They were an item, but they are no longer together.” According to the source, the Disney Channel stars, both 17, broke up the way more celeb couples do; due to work keeping them apart. Gomez is scheduled to be in Europe this summer filming a movie, while Jonas is touring with his brothers.
Although they are officially not together, “it’s evident to everyone that they will always have a super strong connection,” says the source.
Snoop Dogg and Justin Bieber couldn’t be more different, but apparently Snoop Dogg approves of the young teen sensation. Snoop even thinks that he is “cool,” reports MTVnews.com. The pair doesn’t have much reason to like each other since they are going head-to-head on the Billboard charts. The 16-year-old pop sensation’s album “My World 2.0” dropped this week while Snoop’s album “More Malice” is expected to have success as well.
The 38-year-old rapper feels he can relate to Bieber since he was a teenage in the music industry once too, and wishes him only the best.
“I wish him luck and success, hopefully his record will do what it’s supposed to,” said Snoop.
Well this is a new one. Justin Bieber’s manager “Scooter” Braun was arrested for not tweeting, according to TMZ. Yes you have read that correctly.
Apparently the incident roots back to November at the Roosevent Field mall in Garden City, NY. The event became out of control and one girl was hospitalized. Police asked Braun to send a tweet to cancel the event, but they say he refused.
Braun is being charged with reckless endangerment and criminal nuisance.
Another use for Twitter has been found – suicide prevention. That’s what Demi Moore and Nia Vardalos discovered after seeing a disturbing tweet from a Florida man.
The tweet from the Casselberry, FLA man said he was going to hang himself. Moore responded to the post asking “R U rlly asking 4 help?” The man sent several more messages to Moore.
Following that the Seminole Country Sheriff received phone calls from the West Coast, one of them being “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” star Nia Vardalos.
“Please call 1 800 SUICIDE . I’m on the phone with them right now. They are waiting to talk to you,” Vardalos wrote to the man.
After 10 months, rapper T.I.’s lawyer confirmed that he will be released from prison at the end of this month, reports MTV News. T.I. also announced his new single “I’m Back” through a promotional Twitter account, and the Federal Bureau of Prison records list the rapper’s release date as March 26.
“That date is correct,” lawyer Steve Sadow said via e-mail to MTV News. “T.I. is now serving the remainder of his sentence in home confinement under the supervision of the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.”
In late December the 29-year-old, whose real name is Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr., was transferred to a halfway house. However, T.I.P. is not off the hook; after his release from Dismas Charities Atlanta West later this month, he’s expected to complete 20 to 60 additional days of home confinement after an arrangement he made with prosecutors before his sentence began.
Hey may sing about love in music videos that feature crazy house parties, but when it comes to his birthday, Justin Bieber celebrates by acting his age.
The young pop singer turned the big 1-6 yesterday (March. 1), and celebrated like a regular teenager – well, a regular, super-rich teenager.
Bieber has rented out a private estate in Los Angeles where he and his friends have been watching movies and eating dinners, reports E! Online. As for last night’s celebrations, the pop sensation reportedly had some nice clean fun that included sumo wrestling, karaoke, and laser tag.
