Who would have known that the words” Frog Lawn Mower” would have so much impact?
When Late Night writer Arthur Meyer tested to see how many retweets he would get by posting the same exact thing as Justin Bieber (who has over 40 million followers, by the way) , the results at first were not very successful.
But when word got out to the Biebs about what Meyer was doing, things began to drastically change.
Playing along with the experiment, the two switched things up with Bieber tweeting out a random tweet of Arthur’s…which happened to be “frog lawn mower.”
But that’s not all in the pair’s fun. Justin even sent the writer a surprise on the show.
TOO CUTE! From all the negative press Justin Bieber gets, at least we all still know that he’s a fun and caring boy despite everything he has to put up with!
It seems as though Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus have so many things in common, that there’s no doubt why they wouldn’t be the bestest friends ever. From their blooming personalities to being incredible role models, only one could wish for a friendship like this:
They support each other on stage
Whether you’re jamming out to Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber, you know it’s definitely a hit. In 2010, Justin joined Miley on stage at the MMVAs where she performed “Party In The USA,” and changed the song’s lyric to “..and a JB song was on.” Then a few months later, Miley joined Justin on stage for not only a sold out show at MSG, but they also collaborated on “Overboard” which made it into Justin’s documentary/concert film Never Say Never.
They both have a great sense of humor

It’s all fun and game ’til someone gets hurt, and Justin totally beat the crap out of that guy in this episode (well kinda). Things went to a whole new level when Justin hosted MTV’s Punk’d. This was the show’s first ever reverse prank where Miley originally thought she was going to punk Justin— but not so fast. On his way to the shoot, Justin showed his competitive side: “She’s not punking me, that’s not really possible. I can’t be punk’d.”
Possible collaboration? YES PLEASE

At the 2013 Billboard Awards, Miley walked the carpet where she was asked about her rumoured collaboration with Justin Bieber since they were spotted leaving the same studio. Miley responded with: “Everyone’s been asking me about that. My lips are sealed, I’m the queen of secrecy so I’m keeping that kinda under wraps.” Do you guys think this is going to happen?
Who wouldn’t want to party with Justin?
In the world of celebrity news, there’s no shortage of hits and misses. This week, Channing Tatum welcomes a new baby girl and Amanda Bynes continues on her Twitter rampage.
HIT: A New Tatum Arrives!
Beautiful couple Channing Tatum and wife Jenna Dewan have welcomed a new member to their family: a baby girl named Everly! She was born in London last weekend where Dewan and Tatum have settled while he films his upcoming movie, Jupiter Ascending.
“Anxious to meet our grandchild and hug Jenna and Chan,” Dewan’s father told E!, “They are an amazing couple and will be great parents. I’m very excited for everyone in each of our families.” With parents like that, we know this kid is going to be a stunner!
MISS: Amanda Bynes Aims Her Twitter Sights on Liam Hemsworth
Amanda Bynes is at it again and has aimed her Twitter vitrol on Liam Hemsworth, a.k.a. Miley Cyrus’s maybe fiancé. Bynes tweeted, “Liam Helmsworth is the most gorgeous man on the face of the earth other than Tanz Watson. FYI.” (Note: she really did misspell Liam’s last name). Coincidentally, Tanz Watson is also connected to Miley Cyrus as he acted next to her in the filmatic flop, LOL. What’s she trying to do now? Start something with Miley? As much as I would like to say I hope not…it would be fun to watch!
HIT: Lady Gaga loses 30 lbs!
According to multiple reports, the United States’ National Security Agency (NSA) have been secretly collecting vast amounts of internet data by gaining direct access to the servers of big tech companies.
The Guardian and The Washington Post said they have obtained a 41-page powerpoint presentation dated April 2013 of the covert program, known as PRISM, which was intended for NSA senior analysts. It would give the agency the power to circumvent legal processes required to seek personal information such as e-mails, photos and videos, according to the two news outlets.
The companies implicated by PRISM include Apple, Google, Skype, Facebook, Microsoft and AOL, with Microsoft reportedly being the first to sign up for the program back in 2007. While the NSA say they have the complete co-operation from the all tech companies involved, none of the companies have either denied their involvement or have refused to comment on the issue.
If all true, PRISM basically has access to your life.
So what are you afraid the government may find out about you? Possible one of these 10 things.
1. Where you hid your 50 Shades of Grey .PDFs and other smutty fanfics
They’re in the folder titled “Nickelback,” aren’t they?
2. You’re a secret bronie
3. You’re a little too cat-obsessed
If there happens to be someone who is actually in charge of creating Twitter trends, they need to be fired. And stat. Because the latest #MyGirlfriendnotallowedto trending hashtag is a) grammatically incorrect and b) the dumbest thread of tweets I’ve read in a very, very long time. It’s “I need to bash my head into something” terrible because people don’t really think like this, right?
Without including the worst of the stupid hashtag’s resulting cesspool of stupidity, here are some that are so bad that they’re actually really funny, especially since they probably don’t have girlfriends to begin with. Lucky for you, I didn’t include the obviously awful and hateful ones because they weren’t even funny. At all.
QUICK, TWITTER! TO THE FOREVER ALONE MOBILE WE GO!
Instead of going the sentimental route (i.e. picking that stupid Coach Carter monologue about conquering your deepest fear or some bullshit like that because clowns are the worst), high school senior Emily left her yearbook quote in the hands of Tumblr.
Emily posted on Tumblr: “If this [post] gets above 500 notes i’ll use a horse_ebooks tweet as my senior quote.”
That was nine months ago which, coincidentally, is the same amount of time to make a baby. The baby in this case came in the form of the world’ best yearbook quote since her Tumblr post gained nearly 40,000 notes.
Here’s the tweet she used:
Their negativity only served to push me deeper into the realms of soap making.
— Horse ebooks (@Horse_ebooks) February 9, 2012
You know what that quote reminds me of? Success!
Every time Facebook changes anything on their site, there is a complete uproar from users about how terrible the new features are. And, as I’m sure you’re all aware, the more changes they make, the more annoying posts you see about it and the more tours you have to take to get your bearings on the updates and make sure everyone and their dog can’t see your profile.
But what if this happened in real life? ExtremelyDecentFilms explored the idea in their new video and I have to say, it’s pretty spot on. Watch to see what happens when an unsuspecting guy returns from grocery shopping to find his home has been “updated” – without his consent.
Honestly, this video captures so accurately my feelings towards Facebook and it’s constant changes – they never actually fix an identifiable problem, but somehow manage to create ten more. I think for sanity’s sake we should all just stick to Twitter.
Looks like fans just couldn’t wait to hear Demi Lovato’s latest album Demi. After taking to Twitter, Demi sent her fans to a website where they’re task was to work in unlocking her entire album to listen to now.
It all started when she sent out this tweet:
And with that, fans were sent into a frenzy tweeting out hashtags of different song titles to unlock its audio, and through the power of the “Lovatics” the entire album was ultimately unlocked. Demi later sent out this tweet to express her gratitude toward her fans.
Maybe noow that fans have gotten a taste of what the album has to offer through this advanced listen, they will be a little more patient for its original release date which is still May 14.
You can listen to the unlocked songs here.
In the non-ending saga of Amanda Bynes’ new life, the celebrity tries to convince InTouch that she is not spinning out of control.
“I have no clue [why people say I’m insane]. Every time I’ve heard it, it came from an ugly person’s mouth, so I don’t care,” she said. “The only ones lying about me having a mental illness are people I don’t talk to.”
She adds that she relies on the support of her attractive group of friends: “I only have hot friends,” she says. “They have my back until I die.”
Bynes also claims that is is allergic to alcohol (which she has said in the past) and only smokes tobacco, not weed for anyone wondering. As for her next career move, Bynes hopes to do what she loves which apparently is singing and designing clothes (blerg). Not that she needs the money or anything as she told the mag she was financially set when she retired from acting at the age of 24. “I’ll design clothes and sing because I want to, not because I need the money. I love singing and I can’t wait to start working on an album.”
Um, yeah. But no one wants that.
Comedian Nathan Fielder had the most genius idea on how to freak out any parent. He tweeted the idea to his 35,000 followers and here’s just some of the responses he got back:
There seems to be some unsaid rules about 21st century relationships that happen to live on social media.
According to social media, Facebook wants to know everything about your relationship. It wants to know when you’re having issues in your relationships, and it wants to know how much you miss your significant other. Therefore, statuses like “Missing you” or “thinking about you” are apparently mandatory and will consequently annoy the hell out of your friends.
Twitter kindly asks that in 140 characters or less you quote cute things your significant other says in order to remind the world you are in a relationship. (Just don’t forget to hashtag #cuterelationshipthings)
Also, follow back or it’s over.
It’s hard to imagine Tumblr as part of this social media relationship how-to guide, but lo, it is. Post often, and reblog from your significant others regularly to show how much you love and care about them. I mean, you could take the anonymous route as you chronicle the ups and downs of your relationship in a top secret Tumblr, while at the same time, taking some unsolicited advice from the blogging community. It’s just not advisable, especially if your significant other finds said blog. Relationship=over.

But just in case you have a little difficulty in navigating the murky waters of modern day relationships,
HERE ARE THE KEYS TO A SUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIP VIA SOCIAL MEDIA:
Reblogging means that the love is real

No relationship is real until it is Facebook official

Public confessions of love on your Facebook wall are absolutely necessary (just don’t listen to your exasperated friends. Who cares what the haters say, amirite?)

Do not move on from any obstacle in a relationship before informing Facebook
Every social media platform has their own set of unspoken rules. Asides from proper social media etiquette, there’s also an unspoken understanding of things we fear the most while we enjoy our favourite website. Lost followers? Cries. They aren’t real? Dammit, Justin Bieber must know my pain (more than half of his followers aren’t real).
Here are just some of the things we fear while we scroll through our favourite sites:
1. Tumblr: looking at porn while scrolling through your dashboard
Scrolling through your dashboard in public is like the digital Russian Roulette because there’s always that one person you follow who likes to randomly reblog porn. Not only do you feel like a perv because it appears right between gif sets of cute cats and Benedict Cumberbatch, but also because you know everyone around you can see your screen.
2. Facebook: Accused of Stalking
If you’re the few Directioners and The Wanted fans who are casually scrolling through Twitter and Tumblr today and wondering, “Woah! What the heck happened last night?” Here is a full display of the Tom Parker and Louis Tomlinson Twitter fight of 2013.
Apparently Louis spoke some words about their rivals at a recent gig that Tom didn’t quite find amusing and which sparked this tweet:
Then Louis took a crack at the whole Max and Lindsay story
Then Liam decided to join on the fun:
Its official. Pregnant…
— Lindsay Lohan (@lindsaylohan) April 2, 2013
The celebrity who’s more famous for her general missteps than for her work tweeted late on Monday night, “Its [sic] official. Pregnant…”
But there’s no need to be abandoning hope just yet as it turns out her tweet was more of a lame and late April Fools joke. At least, it better be. Planned parenthood: we never needed it more. *Slams head onto desk*![]()

There are a couple of places I would never expect supermodel and Sports Illustrated cover girl Kate Upton to ever be seen at, one being a lame school dance. But yet, that’s where she might actually be after she more or less said yes to high school senior Jake Davidson who asked the supermodel out via YouTube.
In his video promposal, he muses that Kate (or Katie) is the “ying to his yang” because he’s 5’9 on a good day, she’s 5’10 (probably without heels), and he reads Sports Illustrated while she’s on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Just a few days after he uploaded the video (on a friend’s account), she responded via Twitter, saying:
“@jakedavidson23:youtube.com/watch?v=NvxqUE…” you can call me Katie if you want! How could I turn down that video! I’ll check my schedule
![]()
— Kate Upton (@KateUpton) March 19, 2013
Which more or less sounds like a “yes” to me if, of course, her schedule allows it.
Lucky guy. He’ll pretty much have the best looking date in the room.

Secretsupernatural on Tumblr is on to something. She just had to wonder what happens when you googled Nicholas Cage and Tumblr. For a reference, here’s what you get when you simple Google Nicolas Cage:
And here’s what she got when she googled Nicolas Cage + Tumblr:

Best thing ever, right?
Well, as the inquiring journalists that we are, we just had to see what comes up when you google Nicolas Cage and any other website. Here’s what we found.
1. Nicolas Cage and Facebook
2. Nicolas Cage and Instagram
A few weeks ago Olivia Wilde wasn’t feeling the love when she tweeted at the Biebster, “put a f—king shirt on.” If twitter has taught us anything it’s that you don’t mess with the Biebs. Well, Wilde tried to clear the air while on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
Wilde explained she was just concerned for Bieber’s health but the fans weren’t buying it. She recieved some interesting tweets like, ” the nerves tho. who does she think she is!” Ouch! No Love in the Wilde…
This is the pic that sparked all that frenzy:
Hopefully Olivia and Justin can kiss and make up, maybe they can go shopping together? That’d be a cute moment.
New hair!!!! ???????????????????? twitter.com/ddlovato/statu…
— demetria lovato (@ddlovato) March 13, 2013
Do you dig this new do? The 20-year-old tweeted this photo showing off a shorter, more mature look in this selfie. The x-factor judge recently told Allure,
“I love changing my hair a lot—I think it’s fun…I used to always want to dye my hair blue and purple and pink when I was younger, but I was busy trying to make it in the industry as an actress, and it was hard to go in for auditions with blue hair. And so when I heard of the dip-dye trend, I loved it, and I felt like I could finally dye my hair blue. You know you’ve made it when you can dye your hair blue.”
The side-swept bangs and shoulder-length locks really works for Demi. Things are looking good for Demi. Just don’t pull a Britney and shave it all off!
