Adam Lambert lives in some high-security, 1984-esque society in the music video for “Never Close Our Eyes.” He wakes up in cement cell, which is under 24-hour surveillance, and promptly marches in an orderly fashion to the cafeteria where everyone is distributed a nutritious breakfast of blue and white pills. Yum.
The entire society is brainwashed to submission, sweating over menial jobs like scrubbing the cement floors with soap and water. But Lambert breaks up the hypnotized party by with some sort of Mockingjay-inspired speech, inspiring everyone to rebel against the uniformed-guards.
Despite having virtually no freedoms, the guy manages to look stylish (as always) especially at the end when his grey-toned outfits transform into bright and colourful suits. The track is from his album Trespassing, which topped the Billboard 200 chart.

Adam Lambert showed off a pared down look and performance at an acoustic set this week, premiering his new song “Never Close our Eyes.” The song was written by Playboy cover star Bruno Mars, and is about never wanting to sleep so you can spend all your time awake with your loved one.
The song will appear on his sophomore album Trespassing, which comes out on May 15. While I love his flashier Queen-style performances you can really hear the power of his voice in this track. He says it’s the first time he’s performed acoustically and I think he should do it more often. [Source]

Adam Lambert, the flamboyant American Idol alum, was rumoured to be joining Queen for a performance at the Sonisphere Fest in July followed by a string of tour dates.
As we reported yesterday, Lambert gloated to the Daily Mail: ”The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f***ing great songs,” he allegedly said. “It’s to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of.”
Lambert then took to his Twitter to dismiss the rumours on Friday evening:
“Oooh them clever reporters takin my quotes outta context…. I haven’t confirmed any guest appearances. I was talking about the EMA’S,” he tweeted, without directly referencing the report. “That being said, I’m truly flattered by your jump to such glorious conclusions mr journalist!!
”
They had all performed together at the 2009 American Idol finals as well as a November gig at the MTV EMAs.
Lambert’s sophomore album Trespassing is due in March.
At the Academy Awards, much is tolerated. Whether it be a pompous attitude, a boring speech or just bad comedy, it is all tolerated. But, according to TMZ, fake Oscar passes are not apart of that extensive list.
During the peak hour of celebrity traffic on the red carpet, nine German men were arrested. Police noticed that the German men were chatting with the stars and reportedly did not possess the proper authorization passes for the red carpet.
When the German men were approached by the police, they allegedly flashed their red carpet passes with MTV and CITI logos on them. But, the police found a little problem with the passes – they were counterfeit.
