Tony Parker doesn’t just have a sprained ankle to worry about. Now, he’s defending his faithfulness to Eva Longoria and his commitment to their marriage.

The San Antonio Spurs star has been sidelined with an ankle injury just as French model Alexandra Paressant has claimed she and Parker exchanged numbers at his wedding to Longoria earlier in the year and started a steamy affair in September.

Eva Longoria is standing by the NBA superstar as the couple has been conveniently snapped together by paparazzi since the rumours of infidelity.

Longoria’s representative officially shot down the claims in a statement saying the allegations, “are completely, 100 per cent false and untrue. All high-profile couples fall victim to these sorts of things in the course of their relationships,” the rep said.

The Desperate Housewives star released her own statement saying “Tony has been nothing short of the perfect husband.” Parker also denied the affair by saying “[Eva is] the best thing in my life, and I have never been happier.”

The famous couple wed in a lavish ceremony in France in July.

The 31-year-old actress has agreed to marry the 24-year-old San Antonio Spurs player and can’t wait to tie the knot.

Eva’s representative, Liza Anderson, said: “Eva and Tony are officially engaged. The couple have never been happier.”

French-born Tony flew to Los Angeles on Wednesday and surprised Eva at her home by getting down on one knee and proposing.

Anderson revealed: “The proposal was romantic and perfect.”

“Desperate Housewives” star Eva and Tony, who briefly split in September but rekindled their romance during a trip to Paris, plan to marry in France next summer.

They want their forthcoming nuptials to be a “big, happy ceremony with lots of family and friends.”

Eva and Tony met in the San Antonio Spurs’ locker room in November 2004.

They denied their romance at first, but in August 2005 the brunette actress confirmed they were a couple.
Eva revealed in April that she hoped to stay with Tony “forever.”

This will be Tony’s first marriage and Eva’s second. She divorced “General Hospital” actor Tyler Christopher in 2004 after two years.
