The first photos of Suri Criuse, the mysterious daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, have surfaced.
Katie Couric revealed the much anticipated photos during her first night as anchor of the CBS Evening News With Katie Couric.
This is the first time the world has caught a glimpse of baby Suri since her birth in Los Angeles on April 18, ending months of speculation about the authenticity of the baby.
A full photo spread of black-haired Suri with mom Katie, 27, and dad Tom, 44, will appear in Vanity Fair magazine on Wednesday.
CTV has snapped up yet another one of the CBC’s programs.
Stompin’ Tom’s Live Canada Day special will air on the private broadcasting network instead of the public one, the London Free Press Reports.
Stompin’ Tom’s beef with the CBC is well known. The public broadcaster had asked the Canadian singer to do a concert for a special that it would air. Stompin’ Tom says he covered all of the costs for the high definition television concert, which he filmed in Hamilton. The total production costs came to $200,000. And then, according to Stompin’ Tom, the CBC decided it would not air the concert.
The CBC claims no contract was drawn up and signed, and that it did nothing but consider purchasing the rights to televise the concert.
This isn’t the first televised event that CTV has been able to get from the CBC, the private broadcaster has already won the rights to the 2010 and 2012 Olympics, and more recently, the network acquired veteran CBC sports reporter Brian Williams.
Next on CTV’s wishlist, according to the Free Press, is acquiring the Canadian broadcast rights for the NHL from the CBC.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been keeping mum about their wedding date and baby in recent times, but it seems as if the answers to these mysteries are finally out in the open.
According to the Melbourne Herald Sun, the couple has arranged for a July 7 wedding date with department store Neiman Marcus, which happens to be just four days after Cruise turns 44. They are listed under their birth names of Katherine Holmes and Thomas Mapother.
Days ago, a very pregnant Holmes was seen buying blue baby clothes, not even sparing a glance at duds for girls.
An observer said: “She didn’t even look at anything pink or any little girl’s toys.?
Katie Holmes has turned down a role in a film with Dennis Quaid amid speculation that she has decided to end her acting career for good.
The pregnant actress was to have played the wife of country and western swing legend Spade Cooley in Shame on You, but the future Mrs. Tom Cruise has pulled out to devote herself to motherhood, reports People magazine.
“Katie has decided to give up acting altogether. She’s been telling friends that she and Tom have decided it is best she stays at home and brings up their new baby,” a friend has said.
“Her decision is raising a lot of eyebrows in Hollywood.
“She is at the perfect age for so many screen roles and has completely closed the door on a promising career.”
Holmes and Cruise got together this April and became engaged in June. No wedding date has yet been set.
