Angels and Airwaves Take Off With NASA

When Tom DeLonge shoots for the stars, he really means it.

DeLonge told Billboard.com that his band Angels and Airwaves will be teaming up with NASA during their upcoming fall tour. “I’m working on doing some incredible things with them and incorporating NASA’s technologies into our show,” Delonge said. “I think people will be wowed with what I have in mind. Hopefully I can pull it off.”

DeLonge has 24 other partners in mind for the tour.
And that’s not all the band has on its plate: a documentary about the formation of Angels and Airwaves entitled “Start The Machine” has already been submitted to several film festivals and will be released in theatres in 2008.

Of the doc, DeLonge said that “We started out making this documentary about the making of the record, and so much more happened. I told (director Todd Fjelsted), ‘Dude, just make it true and make it real and don’t let me come in there and edit you at all.’ I saw it the first time … and I’m like, ‘Jesus Christ, look at me. I’m crazy!’”

Angels & Airwaves Singer Welcomes Baby Boy

Angels & Airwaves singer Tom DeLonge and his wife Jennifer welcomed their second child into the world, son Jonas Rocket DeLonge.

Jonas Rocket DeLonge was born yesterday in L.A. at 5:03 p.m. The baby boy weighed 7 lbs., 13 oz. and measured 20 1/2 inches, reports People.

Jonas is new brother to their first child, daughter Ava Elizabeth, 4.

Friends throughout their high school years, DeLonge and his wife began dating in 1996 and later married in 2001.

While being pregnant with Jonas, Jennifer joined her rocker husband, the former Blink 182 member, on his tour with this band. Not only is Tom a successful rocker, but Jennifer has made a name for herself as well. Jennifer received her B.A. in fine arts from San Diego State University, and is now a successful furniture designer.

“She’s always had such a desire to create and use her amazing mind. That’s part of the attraction,” said Tom.

Jennifer produced a line of high-end kids furniture back in January. Famous fans of her work include Gwyneth Paltrow and Courteney Cox.

Like mother like daughter, Ava also contributes to the finished products of her mother’s furniture line.

Ava is “our No. 1 tester. She helps pick out colors. She’s a little artist,” said Jennifer.
