What she’s wearing: The Canadian popstar performed on The Today Show wearing a coral Kelly Wearstler dress paired with printed Alice + Olivia “Juliet” wedges, an ASOS necklace, and a white studded belt.
Why we love it: Coral is on trend as the summer colour for lips, so Jepsen took it a step further by wearing it in a bright summer dress. The watercolour-type pattern creates a cool graphic design and is accented well with her silver accessories.
Takeaway: Monochromatic looks are on trend but make sure to use a different colour for your accessories so things aren’t too matchy matchy.
The Wanted
What they’re wearing: The UK boy band performed at the John F. Kennedy airport in NYC for the JetBlue Live From T5 Concert series, wearing graphic tees, jeans, a sport coat, chambray, and more.
Why we love it: Well it’s more that we like four out of five of the looks and excluding Jay would just seem too cruel. Siva, in the grey sport coat, looks the most put-together with his slightly monochromatic look. His T-shirt has a hint of navy, which gives a subtle pop of colour. Tom and Nathan rock the cool graphic tees, but I give the edge to Nathan since his mustached monocle print is more fun and his khakis set him apart from the rest of the group. Max wears a light blue short-sleeve button-down in chambray (a light woven fabric resembling denim) — a fabric that has made a major comeback. And Jay, well he’s wearing a novelty tee that can be either seen as vulgar or hilarious, nothing fashionable about it. However since Jay is known for his sense of humor he can get away with it, but he does bring down the group’s fashion average. Sorry!
Takeway: When choosing graphic tees try choosing a graphic that suits your personality because they’ll send a message to others about you. Try staying away from novelty tees because they may seem funny at first sight but the joke usually is over by the second glance, then you’ll be the joke instead of your shirt.

Carly Rae Jepsen attended the annual US Open Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day on Saturday afternoon in New York, where she wooed the crowd with her tennis skills and sweet vocals.
Her performance of “Call Me Maybe,” definitely brought a party to the court, joined by The Wanted (who smashed it with “Glad You Came/Chasing The Sun”), Owl City, Rachel Crow, Matthew Morrison, Olympian Missy Frank, tennis star Novak Djokovic and more. You’d think things couldn’t get better after some dude walked out with a lawnmower — remember from the music video? The whole thing turned into a huge dance off/flash mob and it seems as though the whole crowd enjoyed it as well. The Wanted’s Max George took to Twitter to pass along a message to Carly:

We’ve all read strange things about The Wanted. For whatever reason, the press likes to create fantastic stories about how Max is celibate, Jay is a vegan and the list goes on. That’s why @jordans_life thought it would be appropriate to make up a rumour for our website ANDPOP. As we expected the guys went above and beyond our expectations and created a story about Siva’s balls and Italian spices. Perfect.

If there’s one “boy band” out there today that doesn’t care what they say, when they say it and are totally unleashed, it’s The Wanted. During an interview in New Zealand, the lads played a trivia game where Nathan and Jay had to wear an electric dog collar around their neck. (Okay seriously, how did they get away with this?) Looks like the British bad boys had some time off while on tour in Australia. Max George broke the news on Twitter, “So….. In 2 hours from now I’m gonna be swimming with sharks 4m’s long!! Never been so hyped!!!” Seems like after a whole lot of convincing, all the lads ended up joining in except Nathan Sykes. He tweeted, “To people saying that we should join max, I think you are slightly confused about our sanity …” I actually don’t blame him though. Don’t worry Nath, you and I can sit from the other side of the glass and just wave. Following the eventful experience, Max George seemed the most excited with countless tweets, “Best thing I’ve ever done… My love for sharks had just doubled!!!” “My new friend!!” and “Lifting a sand tiger shark with 2 fingers!!” Jay McGuiness tweeted the photo above saying, “Didn’t bite me cause he could tell I was a vegetarian. #SharkWhisperer”

Meet Dominique Pegg. Not only is she a gymnast on Team Canada, she’s also a fan of her fellow Canadian Justin Bieber. Just before flying out to take part in the competitions, she tweeted a picture to him with her pillow (not creepy at all, trust me). She followed with another tweet, ”I’m a CANADIAN GYMNAST leaving for OLYMPICS TODAY! Can I get I follow pleasee! Cherry on topppp!” Looks like she got more than just a follow because Justin tweeted her special message. Better late than never. AW!

We’re sending our get-well wishes to Rihanna, who broke her toe while vacationing in France. Her friend and assistant Jennifer Rosales posted the photo on Instagram with the caption: “It’s not a vacation until someone breaks a toe!” Ouch! We’re obsessing over Mike Stud’s rap version of The Wanted’s “Glad You Came,” which he loaded on YouTube for #SundayStudDay. It quickly started trending which prompted the rapper to comment on Twitter:

Ah yes. Just like The Wanted I also love spending my afternoons indulging in the slew of fan mail addressed to me. The only problem is trying to drag the heavy bag of love sonnets through my front door (#celebrityproblems). Luckily it does wonders for my biceps. [Sidenote: I don't actually get letters of praise or in fact, any letters at all. British bad boys The Wanted are known for not only their strong vocal pipes, musical talents and staggering good looks, they would pretty much do anything for their fans. The guys shower their “fanmily” with hugs, kisses, and weekly webisodes, resulting in excessive fan-girling.
Things got a little out of hand earlier this week when two members of TW Nathan Sykes and Tom Parker arrived at Glasgow airport. One of the girls must of got caught up in the commotion, ended up hitting her head on a brick wall and had a frightening seizure. Instead of the guys running off to catch their flight (considering they were in a rush and that would be an A-lister thing to do) they stayed back to help her!
Tom told The Sun, “It was as we pulled up at the airport that one of our fans collapsed on the floor. Nath stayed by her side while I called 999. It was pretty frightening, but anyone would have done the same.” We would hope so too. Nathan also seemed concerned, taking to his Twitter hours later , “Can someone please dm to let me know if the girl from the airport is ok?? Thanks x.”
Even though the girl got hurt, I guess having your idols care for you is much, much better. I bet she was glad they came!

Why does everyone insist on declaring their allegiance to either The Wanted or One Direction like it’s a pivotal rule of fandom? Can’t opposing boy bands and their fans just chill out, have dance offs to weird mashups and reward each other with dimpled smiles and pats on the back when one band is successful? Apparently, NOPE.
During an interview with Much Music, the guys of One Direction were asked to clear up a rumour that’s on everyone’s mind. Are they collaborating with arch nemesis The Wanted?
Well, that’s a tricky question. Three of the guys said it was real while one said it was a rumour. So we’re not really sure what the actual answer is. Though personally, I’d love it if The Wanted popped out of the fog during one of 1D’s concerts and started some epic boy band duet.
Another question that’s on our minds: if you guys really don’t have a problem with each other, why don’t you hang out so the media can squash the rumour? Well, I can think of a million reasons: the dudes are all so busy travelling, touring, recording and aswering questions about opposing boy bands. Louis recommended the interviewer go ask The Wanted why they haven’t hung out but apparently their management FORBIDS interviewers from asking about that no-no topic.
I still feel like I’m missing part of the puzzle. Either that, or the guys are just so tired of questions about The Wanted that there’s nothing left to say.

I’m a huge fan of The Wanted, so when I was searching for their song “Glad You Came” on YouTube and came across this Toronto cover project called Virginia to Vegas, it was a total win. Virginia to Vegas is headed by DJ Baker, a singer and songwriter, trying to make a name for himself in the Canadian music industry. Below is his newest cover of UK bad boys’ “Glad You Came,” sung in an old school, classy way. Baker has also covered Justin Bieber’s new single “Boyfriend,” Coldplay’s “Paradise” and Chris Brown ft. Justin Bieber’s “Next 2 You.” His YouTube channel already has a little over 100,000 views and counting. I see big things coming for this guy! Oh and did I mention I dig his hipster style?
If you’re a member of The Wanted’s ‘fanmily’ you’d know by now that each week the boys post a new video on Wednesday, also known as Wanted Wednesday. These candid videos showcase their cray-cray side and most importantly, they don’t censor themselves like most cookie-cutter boy bands. That’s why we dig them! Oh and they have cute accents too. This week Max George was monkeying around (huh, get it?) when Siva told him to do his best gorilla impression. It was on POINT and they even added in some Phil Collin’s music in the background.
Justin Bieber getting sh*t-faced? We could have told you that. The Wanted revealed to us a while ago that they might’ve had a drink with the popstar. He’s underage but considering the industry he’s in and the simple fact that he’s a teenager, we’re not surprised. He told GQ that he’s never lost control, but he has had a beer. “For me, it’s just like, I like to be in control of myself. I mean, I’ve had a beer, like, before…But I never get out of control,” he said.
The Biebs looked dapper in the spread and opened up about his evolution from boy to man in the interview. Bieber is in that grey-zone right now where he has to make that transition from kid to a “swaggy adult.” And he demands respect.
He also defends Kim Kardashian in the article after catching one of his business advisors ragging on her. You guys are so mean, bro…. People say she doesn’t do anything; she actually does do stuff…. She works hard,” he said. We don’t necessarily agree, but it’s nice that he stuck up for her.

President Barack Obama’s recent public support of same-sex marriage split the political arena in two, but at least he knows he has hip hop mogul Jay-Z backing him. The rapper, who is a curator for the Made in America Festival, has been a longtime supporter of Obama and didn’t shy away from telling us how it is.
“I think it was the right thing to do,” he told CNN’s Poppy Harlow. “So whether it cost him votes or not—it’s really not about votes, it’s about people. So whether it cost him votes or not, I think it was the right thing to do as a human being.”
One commenter on YouTube said it takes serious balls and a secure man to approve same-sex marriage in the hyper-masculine world of rap.
Jay-Z also gave his personal thoughts on the issue, likening opposition to same-sex marriage to discrimination against African-Americans: “I have always thought of it as something that is still holding the country back,” he said. “What people do in their own homes is their business and you can choose to love whoever you love. That’s their business. It’s no different than discriminating against blacks. It’s discrimination, plain and simple.”
You tell ‘em Jay-Z! The rapper isn’t the first celebrity to support Obama, as everyone from Snooki and JWoww to Vampire Diaries’ actress Nina Dobrev and The Wanted have all given him a shout out.
