After reading this headline, you might want to get your mind out of the gutter. While Jayde Nicole may be a Playmate – in fact, she was named 2008’s Playmate of the year – the sexy Canadian model is also involved in a slew of other projects including charity work, poker tournaments and of course, “The Hills.”
If you watch the MTV show “The Hills,” then you know that its former star, Lauren Conrad, said her goodbyes last season and now, “Laguna Beach’s” Kristin Cavallari fronts the show. So how have things changed? Nicole — who first appeared on “The Hills” last season as Brody Jenner’s girlfriend — explains.
“It’s definitely 100 per cent different,” she says (with emphasis on the 100). “It’s been a lot more dramatic and a lot more crazy, and it’s just kind of totally different from what we’re all used to.”
Both Nicole and Cavallari make no point in hiding that they’re not friends — to say it nicely — but Nicole says that could very well change one day. “It hasn’t changed as of right now, but you never know. I mean, I try to never say never because you don’t ever know what’s going to happen. If you would’ve asked me eight months ago if I would of been able to handle being around Audrina [Patridge], I would of said ‘no I can’t stand her,’ ” she admits. “But now I don’t mind her and neither one of us really have problems with each other anymore, so I don’t see us being friends in the future, but you never know.”
Season 5 of “The Hills” kicks off as Lauren gets the ultimate surprise when Stephanie brings Heidi to her birthday party. Realizing that their friendship may never be what it once was as long as Spencer is still in the picture, will that keep Lauren and Heidi apart for good? Heidi thought Spencer was ready to grow up when he called off their quickie marriage to give her a dream wedding. But when a guys’ night out ends with Spencer hitting on a beautiful bartender and beating up his sister’s ex-boyfriend, Heidi must ask herself once and for all – is Spencer the guy that makes her happy, or simply the cause of all her problems? Lauren Conrad’s spotlight may be gone from reality show, The Hills, but she has deftly redirected it to her newest movie-making endeavor.
Conrad has decided to work with the executive producers of Twilight, Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, to turn her novel, “L.A. Candy,” into a film.
“I mean, you can’t do much better, right?” she remarked to MTV News at the launch of her Kohl’s LC Lauren Conrad clothing line.
According to mtvnews.com, she went on to explain that the book was never meant to be a movie. Instead, Conrad had envisioned it as a TV show. The former Hills star knows a thing or two about TV. “Originally, when people started talking to me about turning the books into television, I was really excited,” she explained. “Then we got approached about the movie and I wasn’t really sure it would work. The story is supposed to take place over a couple of years and it’s hard to do with a movie.”
The Hills star Lauren Conrad’s new fashion line, L.C. by Lauren Conrad, will be sold at Kohl’s, with every item priced under $60. Her first line of overpriced, high-end clothing didn’t do well, reports E! News, so this time around, Conrad is aiming to appeal to fans with clothing they can actually afford.
The reality star, 23, celebrated the line’s launch with a party on Melrose Place. She was joined inside by her boyfriend, actor Kyle Howard, 31. Conrad’s ex, Brody Jenner, was noticeably absent from the affair.
The cast from “The Hills” (minus Lauren Conrad) is set to return to the small screen on September 29 at 10 p.m. on MTV, according to MTV News.
This upcoming season will mark the return of Kristin Cavallari to MTV. However, the show will return with familiar faces, including Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt and Lo Bosworth.
Brody discusses life on The Hills without Lauren Conrad, the recent controversy over Heidi & Spencer, Lady Gaga, and sharing a hotel with The Jonas Brothers.
It was confirmed on Thursday that Kristen Cavallari will be teaming up with Speidi, Lo, Stephanie and Audrina on the next season of “The Hills.” And fans will get an early taste of what “The Hills” will look like with Cavallari when she makes her first appearance during the Speidi wedding episode later this season.
¨So my first episode is the wedding,” Cavallari told MTV News. “And then I’m doing the 10 episodes, which I think will air in September.”
Cavallari, who has never appeared on ¨The Hills¨before, said she felt that now was as good as any to step in. ¨Well, I´m coming back for a few reasons,¨ she explained. ¨One is they´ve been asking me to do ´The Hills´ for a while now, and I just thought, what was the point of going on the show when it was Lauren´s show and all it would really do is relive high school drama, which was ´Laguna Beach.´¨
Spencer Pratt is one of those boys who, even at the age of 25, will always be a boy.
He’s the villain from the fake-reality TV show ‘The Hills.’ And while most people beyond Lauren Conrad cannot stand sitting in the same room as him, he does work hard at being the privileged son of a successful dentist.
Some us know it takes a lot to be obnoxious, spoiled and damn right irritating.
And while I resisted ranting about Spencer for several months now, his most recent“headline” was simply the last straw (number 1 on the list below). In other words, with a move like that, Spencer is begging for some word bashing.
But why do most people really express a deep hatred or dislike toward Spencer? While there are countless of reasons, I struggled to narrow it down.
Music artists and movie stars never fail to entertain me (however, I do get easily amused). Whether I laugh with them (or, in most cases, at them) or actually pity their heartaches and failures (which doesn’t happen often)—I always look forward to the next celebrity hook-up/screw-up.
And the month of April did not disappoint. Here are the five best and worst moments in pop culture that made me grateful that such somewhat petty life moments in my life aren’t publicized for the world:

5) Pink Reunites with H(e)art:
One can’t help but assume the following:
a) Pink’s estranged husband Carey Hart decided to give his relationship another try after watching the boyfriend/husband torturing, knee-breaking video his wife created for her single ‘Please Don’t Leave Me.’
Or
b) Pink and Carey realized that they are meant to be with one another, at least for another year.
MTV has announced their hit show “The Hills” will return for another season later this year without Lauren Conrad, its original star.
“MTV viewers will find out life in Los Angeles only gets more complicated as friendships, relationships and loyalties are tested like never before as ‘The Hills’ returns this fall with more episodes of season five,” read a press release from the network to MTV News.
According to MTV, Audrina Patridge, Stephanie Pratt, Lo Bosworth, Brody Jenner and Justin Bobby will be back for the new season.
