The Hulk, Iron Man, Thor and Spider-Man (yes, he really is an Avenger) lose their superhero powers and must turn to the inventive step-brothers for help. Nick Fury, on the other hand, is working the underground secret agent pet line and turns to Agent P for some extra assistance.
“is he some kind of super platypus with some super platypus powers?”
“He has a fedora.”
All we ask for is some more dirt on Perry’s archnemesis Doofenshirmtz to help round out what is arguably the saddest villain backstory in history.
It’s hard for Thor to stay buff! It’s not easy throwing around that heavy hammer, so the superhero needs to keep in shape… and you know what they say, exercise is key.
Thanks to Ryan Frye of EveryDayThor, we now have a little insight on how Thor stays so lean. He doesn’t do just any standard boring work out. He tackles the ultimate fitness routine… the extensive prancercise fitness workout.
In this video, Thor demonstrates how he keeps those biceps toned and those thighs firm. We could all take a lesson from this Asgardian’s dedication to keeping healthy. You lift those legs, Thor.

Samuel L Jackson a vigilant? This requires some explanation.
The Avengers star asked Reddit users to submit their best 300-word original monologues on the community’s site with fellow users voting for their favourite. The winner would have his/her winning monologue read by the actor. This is the result.
His efforts were not just for shits and giggles. Jackson is raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association, a organization close to his heart. The actor will also be giving away the opportunity for one fan (we’re not worthy!) to have lunch with him. There are three days left to enter.
So far, $150,000 has been raised so far for the association. Visit Prizeo to donate for a chance to win a lunch date with the badass actor.
Like any big blockbuster film, Iron Man 3 had its flaws. I mean, why didn’t the President of the United States just use the Iron Patriot suit to free himself? And why didn’t Tony Stark activate the party protocol before? Anyways, HISHE does a better job at picking at the movie as they show you how Iron Man 3 should have ended.
On the bright side, at least we can say Robert Downey Jr. was as badass as usual.
Moviemakers GrittyReboots attempts to save the world from bad TV as they resurrect the dead to recreate PBS’ version of their superhero team. Carl Sagan, Mister Rogers, Bob Ross and Bill Nye (the sole living member of PBS’ golden era) team up as “some people just want to see the world learn.” The nostalgia is enough to get anyone to understand that television doesn’t have to be awful.
Though, admittedly, I like The Soup (or The Stew here). Can we just leave Joel McHale and sloths out of this?
RATING: 3 clever Tony Stark quips out of 5
Starring: Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Ben Kingsley, Don Cheadle
Let me just start by saying how tempted I was to rate this movie 5/5 simply because it begins with the beloved (by me) 90’s classic “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” by Eiffel 65, and I have a depp affinity for the truly terrible music of my youth. This was definitely the best of Marvel’s Avengers universe movies with a stellar cast and a director/writer (Shane Black) who creates a much tighter superhero movie than Joss Whedon, in my opinion.
In Iron Man 3 movie, the genius billionaire playboy philanthropist Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) is back in his So-Cal pad, but he’s still a shaken after The Avengers‘ New York City alien invasion. Stark’s case of post-traumatic stress disorder leaves him tinkering away in his workshop at night instead of sleeping and puts a strain on his relationship with Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow). Lo, there’s no rest for the weary as a new global terrorist known as the Madarin (Ben Kinsley) sets his sights on the United States of America and it’s up to Stark to save the world. Again.
Let’s start with the good. Paul Bettany as Tony Stark’s computer/butler/best friend JARVIS continues to be my favourite thing about this series; he’s the perfect straight man to the always over-the-top Stark. The action sequences were also really enjoyable. My internal monologue during them consisted mostly of frantic OMGs! which are usually reserved for Game of Thrones episodes. They were much shorter than the ones in The Avengers (which is a good thing), and helped to push the plot forward rather then just having things blow up in vain.
The villains were also very cool. I feel like I can’t say anything bad about them should Stan Lee suddenly appear and have me killed. Just take my word that they are refreshingly different from the aliens and Tom Hiddlestons we have seen in Marvel movies past. One last thing that always made my nerdy heart smile was watching Tony Stark become Iron Man. Sure, he puts on the suit about 50 times in the movie, but it never stops being cool (and every time he does it I wish my own wardrobe could do the same thing).
So what knocked two stars off my perfect Blue-related score?
The MTV Movie Awards may not be the Grammys or the Academy Awards, but its red carpet always features some of the best dressed young stars—and the not so well dressed.
This time around we’ll stick to those at the MTV Movie Awards show who looked fantastic. Notable mention goes to JWOW who looked stunning (surprise!). Suits, dresses and lots of leather, this years red carpet had some pretty great looks.
Also, host Rebel Wilson looked great. Just putting that out there.
Here is who ANDPOP thinks are the 5 best dressed of the MTV Movie Awards
Eddie Redmayne
![]()
The Les Mis actor always kills it on the red carpet. This time, he took the Movie Awards show’s younger, vibe in stride and looked very hip as he layered a leather jacket over a denim shirt. The casual look worked perfectly for an awards show as fun as the MTV Movie Awards.
Emma Watson

The creative ombré placement works so well on Emma Watson’s adorable, fun dress. Does she ever not look amazing?
Chloe Moretz

Chloe Moretz is one of those young stars who always manage to look youthful yet great at the same time. She doesn’t try to dress older than she is, and always manages to find the perfect outfit that’s both tame, yet fashion forward. This patchwork Louis Vuitton denim dress is perfect for the casual look most go for at the MTV Movie Awards, and her shoes are killer.
Skylar Astin

Definitely the most dapper looking of the night. You can never go wrong with a classic black suit . The no tie, open button up shirt really helps to bring the suit down a notch for a more casual, fun look.

What if the Hulk, Loki, Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow all went to high school together and The Fury was the teacher? If The Avengers was directed by John Hughes this is what it might look like.
This trailer shows us the possibilities. It weirdly reminds me of The Breakfast Club. Poor Ally Sheedy though. She really let herself go… I mean, everyone thinks so.

The Judd Nelson/Loki parallel kills me every time. “Does Barry Manilow know you raided his closet?” The mashup of the trailers of The Avengers and The Breakfast Club is black magic. It’s perfectly timed and edited. Perfection.
As someone who basically lives at the movie theatre, this year certainly didn’t disappoint me in terms of movies. From The Hunger Games to The Amazing Spiderman to The Avengers, plenty of film franchises racked up some serious cash at the box office.
While the Academy favours artistic movies over franchises, I personally think some of these films are worthy of Oscar nominations because they are SO GOOD.
Here are five movies I highly suggest you to watch as soon as you can.
The Avengers
From the start, this film had plenty of potential. Having separate films surrounding the main characters, such as Thor, Iron Man and Captain America, what could be more awesome than putting all of them together to fight the evils of Loki?
Unlike the disappointment that was Fantastic Four, this film had everything going for it. From the pacing and the action, to the chemistry between the characters and Robert Downey Jr.’s cool humour, Joss Whedon couldn’t have been a better director/writer for this movie.
I’m saying this as someone who doesn’t normally read comic books (tragic, I know). But considering how this film kept me on my toes from beginning to end, The Avengers could arguably be one of the year’s best movies.
Instead of reading boring, snobby movie reviews, from now on I’m just going to head straight to Screen Junkies‘ Honest Trailers. In this episode, they take on Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, a confusing, movie chronicling explorers journeying to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they are forced to fight a terrifying battle to save the human race. [Sound cue: Dum, dum, dum.]
The clip, directed by Andy Signore and Brett Weiner, points out all the plot inconsistencies and strange character developments.
In the past, Honest Movie Trailers took on The Hunger Games and The Avengers. With Halloween around the corner it’s the perfect time to take on a horror movie. Which would you like to see them do? How about Scream? The teen sexfest starring 90s-relevant actors who blindly run into the danger instead of away from it.

Welcome to the honest movie trailer for The Avengers, the teaser that reminds us the two-hour geek fantasy will blind all nerds from forming any rational opinions. If that sounds like you, then you should check out this clip by Screen Junkies, that points out the movie’s inconsistencies, character flaws and complex Marvel politics that are behind the film.
Hopefully it won’t ruin it for you, but considering The Avengers is pretty much invincible to criticism, that’s pretty unlikely. Plus, it sounds like the people who made it have mega crushes on Joss Whedon. They write in the description: “We loved ‘The Avengers’… but you guys demanded this one!”

The Avengers is coming out at the end of September on Blu-ray and DVD, and deleted scenes have already started leaking onto the Internet.
It’s hard to believe Whedon cut the following scene about what Captain America did before The Avengers. It’s an emotional albeit quiet progression of his life, that highlights his loneliness and disconnection with the modern world. Whedon told NY Mag he really hated cutting it.
Whedon also cut a poignant scene with Cap and former flame Peggy in the present day. About that scene, Whedon told the New York Times: ”It was killing the rhythm of the thing. And we did have a lot of Cap, because he really was the in for me.”
Also on the chopping room floor was an alternate opening sequence, that starts with a catastrophe and monologue from Cobie Smulders. Watch it below.

The Avengers gag reel proves just how much fun the crew had on set, which isn’t hard to believe considering Robert Downey Jr. was there (he’s a rambunctious sorta fella). The DVD and Blu-ray editions don’t come out until Sept. 25, but this four-minute reel should tide you over until then.
Here are the three best scenes:
1. Superheroes are always coordinated — the direct antithesis the clumsy — especially Thor. However, in a scene with Chris Evans (Captain America) actor Chris Hemsworth (Thor) can’t catch his hammer and instead gracelessly bounces it from arm to arm like it’s a hacky sack. He gets points for never giving up though.
2. Evans demonstrates the difficulty of putting on some of the intricate and complicated gear during one scene. In the movie he puts on a parachute quite easily but in the gag reel we realize how difficult it actually was to put on. “Guess it doesn’t go up as smoothly as I was hoping,” he jokes.
3. After Clark Gregg (Agent Coulson) perfects his character’s death — which is notably hilarious — Cobie Smulders has a severe meltdown that we WISH made it in the movie, because you know, it’s so believable and all.
In the world of celebrity news, there’s no shortage of hits and misses. This week, Rob Kardashian isn’t going to law school after all and Joss Whedon signs deal to stay in the Marvel Universe.
HIT: Joss Whedon to stay with the Marvel Universe

Whedon just signed a contract with Marvel and Disney to direct Avengers 2 and a develop a live-action Marvel-based television series for ABC. I’m a bit apprehensive of a live-action TV series, but if anyone can do it, it’s the cult-creating phenom Whedon. Also, I may just lose it if he helps broker a deal between Sony and Disney to include Spiderman (Andrew Garfield) in the next Avengers film. Please Whedon, make it happen!
MISS: Rob Kardashian NOT going to law school

It doesn’t seem Rob will be following in his father’s footsteps after all (his real dad was O.J. Simpson’s lawyer). It was news to the University of Southern California when the Kardashian tweeted that he would be attending law school there (“Going to Law School very soon and so excited and can’t wait! School just never ends for me! #UniversityofSouthernCal#Trojans #FightOn”). Representatives from USC’s Gould School of Law said the Kardashian didn’t even apply. At least he pretended he has more ambition than selling his soul for money. We can’t say the same for his sisters!
HIT: Zooey Deschanel spotted with her new guy

The queen of all things quirky and cute (even at 32) has been spotted stealing a kiss from current beau, screenwriter Jamie Linden. While she told Marie Claire magazine she didn’t have time to date, he seems like someone you make time for. He’s pretty cute and has got to be romantic considering he did help write the screenplay for Dear John.

A 10-year-old boy got the right idea when he drew the Hulk smashing the Kardashians into comic oblivion. While I’m a bit disturbed that he knows who the Kardashians are, I’m happy to see he knows exactly how to get rid of them. Maybe they can write this into the next Avengers movie …

Samuel L. Jackson gave interesting advice to anyone who’s going to see The Avengers. Then we show you how to troll a monkey and take a trip with the coolest dad ever, who sings Bohemian Rhapsody with his kids on the way to school.

Samuel L. Jackson revealed the real story behind The Hulk’s power and the key to uniting The Avengers. It all comes down to marijuana. Well not just plain old marijuana, the iridescent green kind that inspires greatness.
Jackson, who plays Nick Fury, was like a green bud connoisseur during a recent interview with Reelz, describing how hybrid weed makes the angry green superhero indestructible. Even when the interviewer Steve Patterson tried to get back to — you know — legit questions about the movie the conversation always went back to pot.
“Nick Fury is like the ringleader in this movie. In real life how would Sam Jackson keep all of those guys in check?”
“The Hulk — give them that green weed that you’ve got in that bag right there,” Jackson answered pointing to a nearby table. “Not the dark green, the iridescent green.”
“Somehow I think I’m going to get fired for this but I kind of like this,” said Patterson. “Going down in flames.”
Jackson was also candid about how the movie is best enjoyed after smoking a little before the show.
“I’m just going to say it straight out,” he said. “You should see The Avengers after you hit one great big bud of Hulk cause this movie is a mother-f*cking yes!”
No word on whether or not Jackson was indeed high during the interview though he did cover himself by saying people should get a prescription.

My friends usually find me at the nearest theatre on warm summer nights, sitting in the middle seat of the middle row, with the tallest cup of Diet Pepsi on my right and a huge jug of extra buttered popcorn on my left. It’s very technical you see.
Honestly, I’m probably the biggest movie junkie out there. I love all things Hollywood: the atmosphere, the costumes, the lights, the glitz and the glamour. I proudly incorporate movie references in every day conversations. Yes, I am that girl.
In honour of my movie nerdieness, I’ve put together five movies I’m looking forward to this summer.
1) The guilty pleasure: LOL
Not only does it star Miley Cyrus but it has a relatable storyline. The movie follows a young girl as she falls in love for the first time and begins to discover herself. Don’t look at me like that! I know it sounds sappy, but I predict it’ll be one of those guilty pleasure chick flicks. Just watch the trailer and trust me.
2) The superhero movie: The Avengers
Marvel released a brand new kick ass clip of The Avengers today and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow channels Drew Barrymore in Charlie’s Angels when she destroys a gang with her hands tied behind a chair. Win. Read more…
On the first episode ever of “Unscripted,” we are on the red carpet talking to Sean William Scott and Jay Baruchel for Goon, and having a look a Neighboorhood Watch and The Avengers – both coming soon.
Every superhero needs their sidekick.
And Marvel Studios’ The First Avenger: Captain America, has finally found Gossip Girl actor Sebastian Stan to join the cast as the supporter James “Bucky” Barnes.
According to MTV news, Stan has agreed to the 2011 film about soldier-turned-superhero Steve Rogers, as well as five or six additional Marvel movies- most likely as part of the The Avengers franchise. The current film will concentrate on the early days of Steve Rogers and his beginnings as Captain America.
