I’m dreading this Fox dating show called The Choice, which features sleazy, celebrity bachelors that all agree to go on semi blind dates. The show is set up similar to The Voice in that the celebs can’t see their potential dates — they can only hear their voices. The contestants share their date pitches with the celebrities until they’re chosen.
GAG. Apparently Fox likes to recycle every successful show by applying the exact same formula to other aspects of life.
Celebrity bachelors include Jersey Shore’s Pauly D and ‘The Situation,’ as well as American Idol
star singer Taylor Hicks. First, I don’t know why anyone would want to go on a romantic date with anyone whose motto is DTF and also, why would Joe Jonas need help finding a date? Weren’t girls all over him a couple years ago?
Female celebrities include actress Carmen Electra and model Hope Dworaczyk. The trailer below insists no one plays the dating game like Fox, but The Choice and Take Me Out is a little too tacky for me. What do you guys think?
Watch it here:
American Idol winner Taylor Hicks is suing William Smith, a producer who recorded a number of songs with the crooner back in the ’90s.
According to an e-mail sent to Hicks by Smith in July, the producer had plans to release a song from 1997 called “The Fall” on iTunes, E! Online reports.
Hicks is seeking over $75,000 U.S. in compensatory and punitive damages. He has been granted a temporary restraining order that prevents Smith from releasing “The Fall” as well as two other songs, “Son of a Carpenter” and “In Your Time.”
The injunction could be made permanent as early as next Wednesday, when a hearing will be held on the matter.
Fans of the Soul Patrol won’t have to wait much longer to get their first single from Taylor Hicks.
The latest “American Idol” will release his first single, “Do I Make You Proud,” which he sang on the show’s finale, June 13 ? online and in stores.
He also signed a record deal with Simon Fuller and 19 Recordings Limited, which is also the label last year’s Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, is signed with.
Hicks will join the rest of the Idol finalists for their annual Idol summer tour, and it is expected his full length album will be released later this year.
