If you’re an emotional person, you better get some tissues ready.
At the request of his grandfather, Redditor stevieboy1984 turned to the internet community to see if anyone could clean up a scanned image of his grandfather’s photo from World War II during his service in the Navy.
Proving that the world can be a nice place, several Redditors offered their photoshop skills to help restore the photo. At the end of it all, stevieboy1984 received six variations of the photo before handing his grandfather a framed version of top commenter unhi’s submission.
It’s these little things that restore my faith in humanity. The Reddit community is awesome!
The way to challenge somebody who thinks sexuality is a choice is by turning the tables.
When Travis Nuckolls and Chris Baker asked a group of straight people on whether being gay is a choice, the two switched things over by asking their subjects when they chose to be straight.
This is absolutely perfect and the responses here are surprisingly lovely and very reasonable. Hopefully this video can make others understand sexuality a bit more.
Not everyone enjoys working customer service. But for Willie the Walmart greeter, the job seems absolutely perfect for him! Greeting guests with a fist pump and a loud “BAM!”, he is a favourite among those who frequent the Walmart in which he works.
I also think “BAM!” should be dubbed as the only appropriate way to answer all questions.
For example:
–”How are you doing today?”
“BAM!”
–What are you going to do tonight?!”
“BAM!”
See, it’s awesome. And this man deserves a raise for his enthusiasm.
I’ve never seen a wombat before in my life, but where can I get one of my own?!
According to YouTuber ajakwerth, this wombat named Douglas was orphaned and taken care of at a school camp in Victoria, Australia.
Calling Douglas his best experience with an animal, ajakwerth reminisces about the little creature:
“He once sat himself down in his own (very green) poo and had this nasty little stain on his butt…hahaha…he was just too funny!
I fucking miss that fella!!!”
While this video is three years old, the man in the video has since lost touch with the family who owns the camp and has been wondering about Douglas’ whereabouts. From what he last heard, Douglas was supposed to be released into the wild someday.
Prepare to bawl your eyes. Because the following letter will probably be the sweetest thing you will see today:
FCKH8.com, an equal rights organization, first posted the letter to Facebook on Friday morning. In the note, the father explains that he overheard his son Nate talking on the phone with his boyfriend about coming out. But the father tells him he already knew and that he never cared.
“I’ve known you were gay since you were six,” the father writes. “I’ve loved you since you were born.”
This note brings a few tears in my eyes because all parents should be accepting of their children through and through. Unfortunately, this is still not the case.
Bravo Dad! Your PostScript at the end is also adorable.
And Dad of the year goes to…
This man deserves some major props for building his son a backyard roller coaster with a 12 ft. drop.
While I have a few concerns about the safety of this structure, it looks like the dad knows what he’s doing. As the child seems to be having a blast, I’m just going to watch this video with happiness and hope that the child is supervised at all times.
Seven-year-old Matthew Pietrzyk, from Glenfield, Leicestershire, was born with a rare genetic disorder that has damaged his kidneys. Last week, his mother Nicola started a social media campaign to raise awareness of organ donation and to find a living kidney donor for her baby. Nicola started a Facebook page, A million likes for a kidney for Matthew.
Matthew and his family have received an overwhelming amount of support, including a video message from a five-year-old named Jack Scoble, who lives on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. This little guy underwent kidney transplant last year.
In the video, Jack gives Matthew some words of encouragement, ”I want to tell you to hang in there buddy…I got my new kidney after a whole year and, even though I am little, I remember how hard it was living on the machine and having injections every day until my new kidney came. But keep your fight and your chin up, Matthew.”
This is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It’s incredible how two little boys can share such a strong message. While we all face struggles in our day to day lives, sometimes we forget that there are these brave little soldiers who must go undergo some pretty grown up challenges, but in spite of sadness they still manage to smile. We’ll be routing for you both!
Brace yourself for what will probably be the cutest thing you will see today. This wee, little kitten has the hiccups.
Now I don’t know what makes this video so interesting (other than the fact that kitten is so gosh, darn adorable!!), but the sound of the cat’s little hiccups are kind of comforting.
Nothing feels better than to see your loved ones getting a gift they’ve longed for all year long. Just watching this video was enough to put tears in my eyes.
Surprising their son Nik with an Xbox 360 Elite and The Halo 3 Legendary Edition on his birthday, these parents were certainly able to surprise their kids with something special.
Having spent part of the year with a broken collar bone playing soccer, it must have been a dream come true for little Nik to get an Xbox 360 in his hands!!
Being named after a superstar certainly has its perks. While performing a concert in Sydney, Australia on January 3, Mariah Carey invited a six-year-old named Mariah Cini on stage upon finding out that the little girl was named after her.
During a break between songs, Carey asked Cini if she could look at her ensemble. Complimenting her with, “Your outfit is very pretty. That is pink and it’s gorgeous!”, Carey added that she she hated that she was the only one with the name Mariah growing up and now she’s excited to see other girls with the same name.
According to Contact Music, Cini’s father Chris met Carey during a concert in Australia in 1998 and decided to name his daughter after the songstress. “Mariah Carey is truly a beautiful, genuine person. She’s protective of her fans and she’s not above herself at all. I knew when we were having a baby girl that she would be my Mariah Grace,” he said.
“I’ve always liked her, from when I was born, basically,” Mariah Cini added. “Dad always said if she came back [to Australia] we’d go to visit her and I couldn’t believe it. I know I’m one of the luckiest fans in Australia.”
Mariah Carey may be a diva, but she’s humble and certainly knows how to treat her fans right. What a class act!

The boys of 1D are so charming that even an Oscar-winning actor like Dustin Hoffman can’t resist them.
Stopping by on The Late Show with David Letterman, the 75 year-old actor followed the band out on the stage and lingered awkwardly around the boys when there wasn’t any more room on the couch for him to sit.
After Letterman refused permission for Hoffman to sit on his lap, the legendary actor sat on the armrest right beside sweet Niall Horan.
But realizing that he couldn’t keep his eyes off the Irish lad, Hoffman leaned in to awkwardly kiss Horan.
“Good heavens,” Letterman said when Hoffman left the stage. “What a sl*t!”
Earlier in the program, Letterman kissed Hoffman after the actor praised him for being an underrated talent.
While it looks like Hoffman may be passing on the love, I can’t help wondering what it would be like to see the acting legend at a 1D concert! He must really be a hardcore Directioner to pull that off!
And for good measure:
YouTuber DukieAjah is challenging himself to see how many times he can get rejected for making the most ridiculous requests.
From asking to borrow a $100 from a stranger to demanding a “burger refill”, this man has been pretty successful in his quest until the third day of his challenge.
Going into a Krispy Kreme to request a set of donuts in the shape of the Olympic rings, he was only expecting a big fat “NO.” But to his surprise, the lovely shop manager named Jackie happily obliged and fulfilled his request. And best of all? The doughnuts were on the house!
Someone needs to give this woman a MAJOR promotion. As an employee working in an often unfriendly environment of customer service, Jackie SERIOUSLY went out of her way to make someone’s day.
In a special Thanksgiving treat for fans, Beyonce and Jay-Z have shared some rare pictures of their 10-month-old daughter Blue Ivy.
In one of the photos, Beyonce poses with her little girl dressed in a blue (naturally) outfit. Although Blue is not facing the camera, we can just tell this little girl is going to have the best style like her mama! In a second shot, Bey also posted a black and white snapshot of her hubby Jay-Z carrying Blue Ivy through a garden.
Writing a letter to fans, the singer wrote, “From my family to yours. Wishing you a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving.”
I seriously CANNOT get over how adorable this family is. They seem like the epitome of class.
It’s not every day when a drunk guy stops someone on the street to teach him a song. But in a random happenstance one night, a musician named Logan fulfilled this intoxicated man’s wish and the result was surprisingly very sweet.
Singing a rendition of Noah Gunderson’s “Caroline”, this duo has probably created one of the loveliest things I have ever heard.
I am crossing my fingers that these two exchanged numbers for future collaboations. But chances are, the drunk guy probably doesn’t remember any of this
Even if you don’t love their music, you have to hand it to the guys of Train that they’re a real class act. After performing on the Rockefeller Plaza for The Today Show this morning, lead singer Pat Monahan took a permanent marker from his back pocket and signed his shirt. Then he stripped off his top and…. well, we have you intrigued. Watch until the end to see what he does.
BTW, our hearts are slowly thawing.
Winning medals at the Olympics is pretty sweet. But like anything in life, taking part in the biggest competition of your life can throw some major curve-balls at you.
During the triathlon event, Canadian Simon Whitfield crashed his bicycle and took down Costa Rica’s Leonardo Chacón Corrales’ in the process. But rather than getting angry about the accident, Corrales took to Facebook to send a sweet message to his Canadian competitor.
This is exactly what the Olympics should be. Recognizing that it’s all about camaraderie and sportsmanship, this athlete is the epitome of class.
Because we’re all about cute animals, here’s a video of a 7-day hedgehog taking a nap on the palm of its owner. And because we want to make you squeal some more, the bottom video shows a baby hedgehog yawning!
I don’t know many 90-year-old athletes, but this man amazes me. Proving that athletics are timeless, Dr. William Bell, a 90-year-old pole vaulter and father of 1984 Olympian Earl Bell, proves that he still got hops.
Dr. Bell, who currently holds the world record in pole vault for his age group, still jumps three times a week at his son’s training facility in Bono, Arkansas.
Seeing that I stopped competitively training for Track and Field two years ago, this man has somewhat inspired me to start running again. He just proves that anyone of any age can succeed if they put their minds to it!

Looks like we have a future Grammy award winning musician at hand. Just four months old, baby Eilish gives all she’s got while playing the keyboard on an iPad.
