Swann Communications, a security monitoring technology company, announced last week the release of its MovieStick camera and recorder. The MovieStick is one of the world’s smallest digital video recorders. The MovieStick weighs less than an ounce and is slightly larger than a pack of gum.
The MovieStick features a removeable Micro SD card for easy transfer to a computer for viewing, and has a lithium battery that is rechagred via the USB outlet at the bottom of the device.
The Movie Stick is available for approximately $120 U.S. and will soon be released to Swann’s retail and online resellers.
Swann Communications, a leader in do-it-yourself security monitoring solutions, recently announced their latest innovation in wireless surveillance, the ADW-300 Security Camera. This device features an upgraded version of Swann’s Advanced Digital Wireless (ADW) analog wireless technology by transmitting a ‘point to point’ digital wireless feed from the camera to the receiver. This receiver can be connected to a DVR, VCR, or monitor for viewing and recording.
The new technology that the ADW-300 features provides clearer video pictures and sound than analog wireless. The new technology does not suffer interference from, nor interfere with, other wireless devices like internet router, cordless phones and microwave ovens. The Swann ADW technology also has an encrypted signal that ensures no one else can intercept the camera’s feeds. The ADW-300 has a wireless transmission range of at least 160ft.
The ADW-300 films in colour, and automatically switches to black and white with infra-red night vision in low light situations. The device is selling for approximately $200, and will soon be released to Swann retail and online retailers.
