Stevie Nicks: Lindsay Lohan ‘Never Going to’ Play Me in a Movie

Looks like Lindsay Lohan’s hopes for reviving her career has run into more obstacles!!

When word came out about the possibility Lohan would play the rocker in a film in 2009, Nicks snapped.

“Over my dead body,” Nicks told the New York Times.

“She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then maybe we’ll talk.”

Now in 2011, Nicks still hasn’t changed her mind.

“She’s never going to,” the Fleetwood Mac singer recently told CNN, according to the Huffington Post. “That’s never going to happen unless she cleans up her life and becomes the great actress I feel she can be. Everybody thinks I hate her, and it’s not that at all.”

Nicks, who has been to rehab twice for cocaine and pill addiction, told CNN she feels the actress hasn’t changed much since she made those comments two years ago.

“I just want her to get it together,” she told CNN. “I was completely messed up for a long time and I got it together. She’s a very talented girl … if she could get it together, she could have a really big career and she could do great things.”

Hmm, hopefully Lindsay can take this harsh criticism to get herself back together!

Meanwhile, Lohan is planning a comeback with Fiore Films’ Gotti: Three Generations, playing Kim Gotti, wife of Gotti Jr.

Stevie Nicks Cancels Appearances and Performances in NYC

The legendary Stevie Nicks has had to cancel a series of upcoming appearances and performances in New York City due to pneumonia, reports Perez Hilton.

The iconic musician, whose first new album in ten years is dropping on Tuesday, was scheduled to appear on the ‘Today Show’ and ‘Good Day NY’ on May 3rd. Nicks was also set to perform at a star studded event thrown in her honor by her record label at New York’s Webster Hall on May 4th, but she had to cancel both days.

Nicks was told by her doctor to “stay in bed and not fly” until she’s feeling better. Here’s her released statement:

“I want to apologize to all my fans and hope that we can reschedule and of course I hope you love the new album. It’s for you.”

Not a great start to her publicity tour, but I’m sure she’ll bounce back in no time. ‘Rolling Stone’ calls her latest album ‘In Your Dreams’ her ‘finest collection of songs since the Eighties,’ so I’m sure the album will make up for this stream of missed events. It’s so great to see such legends still doing their thing.

Lindsey Buckingham Announces New Album, Tour

According to his official website, Lindsey Buckingham is releasing a new acoustic album in October. The album, titled “Under The Skin,” represents Buckingham’s first solo venture in 14 years.

Buckingham has dabbled with solo projects since the late ’90’s, but amalgamated his work, with that of Stevie Nicks, into Fleetwood Mac’s critically-acclaimed 2003 album “Say You Will.”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has also announced that, following the album release, he will be going on tour across the U.S.

Buckingham’s other solo albums include 1981’s “Law and Order,” 1984’s “Go Insane,” and his 1992 project, “Out Of The Cradle.”
