Steve-O, self-described asshole, remembers the exact year he started skateboarding. It was 1985 and he had just seen Michael J Fox in Back To The Future, with his grandma. The Killer Karaoke host then started filming his skateboarding progression, using a camera his dad won. Right there folks, are the very roots of Jackass.
In part two of his Small Talk interview with ANDPOP’s Simon Mohos, he tells us all about how skateboarding weeds out the weaklings (“Even good kids are bad kids because every year by nature you’re vandalizing everything”) and that time he toured with the circus.
Steve-O told us he kicks people in the nuts when they ask because that’s just the type of guy he is. Honestly, his poor testacles have been through a lot of trauma in their time but it was a lone volleyball that hurt the most.
ANDPOP’s Simon Mohos sat down with the Jackass star and talked about his show Killer Karaoke. In the show, he challenges contestants to perform their favourite songs in extreme and outrageous circumstances for $10,000. Contestants are subject to sporadic shocking, waxing, hoisting or facing phobias.
“It’s basically an exercise in exploiting people’s willingness to sacrifice their dignity to be on TV,” he said. According to The New York Times, it’s the greatest show in television history!! “It’s exciting for me to be working as a guy who doesn’t just hurt himself.”
Now, 80s high five!!

Steve-O shared his BEST STORY EVER on Canada’s television talk show The Hour, retelling that time he got medical attention from Mike Tyson and a Kung-Fu instructor.
They were filming a bit called “BB Gun Nipple Piercing” and the Jackass star was super stoked because the pellet stayed in his nipple. All of a sudden, skateboarder Bam Margera snuck up behind him and punched him in the face for absolutely no reason at all, badly breaking his nose.
He went to a surgeon but the doctor insisted his nose healed that way and he’d have to re-break it in order to straighten it. A year later, he showed up at the Charlie Sheen Roast with his crooked nose. He talked Mike Tyson into holding his fist out with his arm locked and then ran forcefully across the stage and dove into Tyson’s fist.
All of a sudden, a kung-fu instructor came on stage and said Steve-O needed his nose to be set, assuring him that he’d done it many times before. Steve-O put his trust in the dude and he ended up fixing it.
“I got better cosmetic surgery done at the hands of Mike Tyson and a kung-fu weirdo than any doctor probably ever could have given me,” he said.
If Steve-O ever has grandkids, he’s going to have the most wicked stories EVER. “Gather round the fireplace children, has grandpa ever told you about the time he got choked thirteen times in a day or set his hair on fire or got medical attention from a kung-fu intructor?

Is any prize really worth this much screaming? In Killer Karaoke, host Steve-O challenges contestants to perform their favourite songs in extreme and outrageous circumstances for $10,000. Contestants are subject to sporadic shocking, waxing, hoisting or facing phobias.
In the clip below, a contestant sings Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” while blindly feeling everything from snakes to pigeons to a skunk. In one of the other challenges called “puppet master,” a woman sings ”Girls Just Want To Have Fun” while getting a bottle smashed over her head and getting hit in the face with a fish.
Still, it must be a nice change of pace for the Jackass star, who has done everything from jumping out a plane without a harness to funnelling vodka into his body through an IV. The Tru TV show, which is inspired from a British show called “Sing If You Can,” premieres on Nov. 23

In Random Coupling news, Elisabetta Canalis, famous for having dated George Clooney and not-so-famous for being kicked off “Dancing With the Stars”, has taken a new lover.
Her new lover is younger, louder and wilder than the Oscar-winning actor ever will be. “Jackass” stuntman Steve-O met the Italian model through a mutual friend, according to the New York Daily News.
The mis-matched couple have been locking lips around L.A. for a few days now. The two aren’t serious, just “hanging out and hooking up.” In other words: this relationship won’t make it past the Superbowl.
Her ex George Clooney is sitting cozy in his mansion in Monte Carlo, probably eating caviar while Elisabetta has to accept the fact that she’s dating a guy that once ate rats on t.v.
“Jackass” star Steve-O is learning a valuable lesson today – make sure you take care of your warrants.
Steve-O was arrested at Calgary’s airport on Sunday for assault with a weapon, but the incident happened 8 years ago. Steve -O was stopped by Canadian custom officials when he arrived at the airport, reports TMZ.
The warrant was issued back in 2003 — for an incident in which Steve-O allegedly attacked somebody with an unknown object. So far, the identity of the victim is unclear.
The actor was placed in jail for a couple of hours, where he was later bailed out. He’s due back in court in May. Those crazy Canadians!
“Jackass” star Steve-O is admitting the error of his ways.
The always controversial stuntman sent out an email apologizing to his friends and family after being hospitalized and put on suicide watch last Sunday.
In the email, Steve-O (born Stephen Glover) calls his recent problems, “a bunch of manic bullsh–.”
The hospitalization came after Glover called a bunch of his friends over to his house to document him performing a highly dangerous stunt involving 25-foot fall onto concrete. A group including Johnny Knoxville, “Jackass” producer/writer Jeff Tremaine, producer Trip Taylor, soundman Cordell Mansfield, cameramen Dimitry Elyaschevich and Rick Kosick, and rapper Reggie “Big Regg” Pace arrived concerned after Glover said in his invitation that he was, “ready to f—ing die.”
Glover’s email states that his friends “physically forced” him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was placed on hold for suicide watch.
Glover goes on to explain the feelings that led to his downward spiral.
“I had thought of ‘bipolar’ as a ‘good’ thing. I rationally deduced, with our time in this life being so limited, it was productive to stick to nothing but extremely high ‘highs,’ and extremely low ‘lows.’ Anything but to ‘crash on the rocks of mediocrity, “ he writes.
“I’ve figured out that I did a great deal of damage to my brain by abusing drugs, and now that they’ve all worn off, I’m facing the consequences.”
Glover is still being held at Cedars-Sinai on a 14-day stay but is maintaining his famous sense of humour. Multiple times in the email, the stuntman refers to the psychiatric facility as a “loony bin, the “cuckoo’s nest” and “insane asylum.”
