Gwyneth Paltrow Angers Animal Rights Activists With Ad

Did Gwyneth Paltrow sell out her beliefs for a print ad campaign?

Paltrow has angered animal rights groups for appearing in a new Tod’s ad wearing fox fur and fur-lined boots.

“Gwyneth Paltrow should be ashamed,” Mark Glover, director of Respect for Animals, told the UK Telegraph. “I can only assume that Paltrow either is ignorant of the facts or lacks human decency and compassion.”

Not only has she lost her standing with the animal rights groups, but she may have jeopardized her important friendship with Stella McCartney. McCartney is a PETA supporter.

Paltrow was named the face of the Italian label in May, after a short film for Tod’s she made premiered in Cannes.

Stella McCartney and Hubby Welcome New Baby

Stella McCartney, daughter of Beatle Paul McCartney, has given birth to her second child.

E! Online reports that McCartney and her husband, Alasdhair Willis, welcomed the newsest addition to their family last Friday.

The baby was a girl, and was named Bailey Linda Olwyn Willis. She weighed in at 7 lbs, 14 oz. The couple’s eldest son, Miller, is one.

The couple has been married since 2003. And although Stella is known as the daughter of Paul (with first wife Linda McCartney, who died of cancer in 1998), she has also made a name for herself as a fashion designer.
