Snoop Dogg Wants To Produce For Celine Dion

SNOOP DOGG would love to work with Canadian singer CELINE DION – because producing hip-hop beats for his rap friends is “too easy.”

The Drop It Like It’s Hot star has produced tracks for Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs, Warren G and Nate Dogg, but is eager to move out of the hip-hop genre and has already prepared songs for artists like Dion and soul star Sade.

He tells AllHipHop.com, “I got beats for mothaf**kin’ everybody, man. I got beats for Celine Dion, and mothaf**kin’ Sade.

“I’ve got music for everybody, not just rap. Rap s**t is easy – whoever I call, I can get, just because I’m Snoop Dogg. That’s too easy (in rap). I want to reach out with some creative artists that’s gonna be here 20 years from now.”

Snoop Dogg Films Down Under

Rapper SNOOP DOGG was granted a short-term travel visa to film an appearance for MTV in Australia, despite outstanding charges against him in California.

The rapper, real name CALVIN BROADUS, flew into Melbourne on a private jet for the Good Vibrations concert on Saturday, later flying to Brisbane for the festival’s Sunday show.

Snoop Dogg arrived in Sydney on Monday to film a secret project originally slated for a December shoot, but was postponed after the star was arrested in November for possessing drugs and a firearm.

The star spent four hours filming at Ruby Rabbit nightclub, along with Australian actress and pop star SOPHIE MONK, who is engaged to GOOD CHARLOTTE rocker BENJI MADDEN.

Last month, his lawyers denied the rapper had a weapon when he was stopped by airport officials in Orange County, California, who allegedly found a collapsible baton in his luggage.

Snoop: ‘The Police Hate Me Because I Keep Felons Straight’

Rapper SNOOP DOGG is convinced he has become a target for police in California because the authorities hate the fact he helps former felons go straight.

The GIN & JUICE hitmaker is fighting a handful of weapons charges following airport arrests last year, but insists he’s completely innocent.

He feels sure police authorities like to put him in his place from time to time – because they disapprove of his support for convicted gang leaders.

He explains, “The people I associate with are from the gangbanging world and are looking for a way out. The police don’t give them a way out.

“When a n**ga get out of jail, it’s designed for him to go back to jail. I’m the only system that saves felons and gets their lives on the right track.

“Whether it’s rapping, security, management, intern or whatever, I give these guys hope.”

Snoop accepts his position as a black leader of sorts puts him in the company of African-American heroes like MALCOLM X and MUHAMMAD ALI.

He adds, “They all were at the pinnacle of success and then White America toned them down.”

Snoop Dogg Pleads Not Guilty To Felony Weapon Charge

SNOOP DOGG pleaded not guilty to a felony weapon charge through his lawyers yesterday, when he was arraigned in a Santa Ana, California courtroom.

Snoop, real name CALVIN BROADUS, is charged with possessing a deadly weapon while trying to board a plane at John Wayne Airport in September.

Police also found a collapsible baton in his computer bag – one of the many non-lethal weapons which are illegal in California.

Orange County District Attorney spokeswoman SUSAN SCHROEDER says, “The reason we’re pursuing this as a felony is because of Mr. Broadus’ criminal history and his apparent and continued disregard for the law.”

The rapper’s attorney, DONALD ETRA, hits back at the claims stating, “Snoop’s not guilty plea says it all. The item he’s charged with was a movie prop, not a weapon. Snoop never intended it to be used as anything other than a prop.”

He faces three years in prison if convicted. A pre-trial hearing has been set for April 5.

The 35-year-old rap star is also facing weapons charges stemming from another incident at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, California.

He was arrested there in October and accused of illegally carrying a handgun and possessing marijuana.

Snoop Dogg out on Bail

Snoop Dogg was released from a London prison on Thursday, a day after he was allegedly involved in a brawl at Heathrow Airport that injured seven officers.

He spent the night behind bars, along with five other men, believed to be part of his entourage.

“Snoop has been released on bail,” said his attorney, Peter Binning, according to the AP. “He will return at a later date.”

He has not been charged.

According to several reports, 30 people were involved in a fight in the British Airways first class lounge. One report says members of Snoop’s entourage did not have first class tickets and were not allowed entry into the lounge, a move that may have started the brawl.

Snoop has been banned from future British Airways flights.

Snoop Dogg Arrested After Airport Brawl

The Dogg Pound is locked up. Snoop Dogg and members of his entourage were arrested Wednesday after they were allegedly involved in a brawl at Heathrow Airport in London, England.

According to Reuters, Snoop and give other men were detained after the fight.

How did the cops get to the scene so fast? They were actually with the rapper, escorting him through the airport.

Seven police officers suffered minor injuries, according to the report.

Police say as many as 30 people were involved in the “disturbance” but it is not yet clear what Snoop’s role was in the fight.

“We understand that the group had been told by an airline that they would not be permitted to board a flight. Officers attended the scene and attempted to direct the group to baggage reclaim. Members of the group then became abusive and pushed officers,” said a police support, according to MTV.

Snoop and company were en route to South Africa for a show.

The fight comes a day after news broke that Snoop Dogg is writing a series of novels about his rise to fame.
