“No Regrets” – Snoop Lion
There’s been quite a bit of mystery surrounding Snoop Dogg’s decision to reincarnate himself into a reggae singing Snoop Lion, but so far every Snoop Lion track has been pure gold, and “No Regrets” is no exception. The track features the Dirty Projectors’ Amber Coffman and rapper T.I, and is a mellow, faded jam with Coffman’s angelic voice intersecting beautifully with Snoop’s.
“What Love is Made Of” – Katy B
What’s love made of? According to Katy B, it’s synthesizers, a seriously catchy tune and a dance-pop beat reminiscent of Darude’s “Sandstorm.” Katy B knows how to get the kids dancing and with this track you can start your summer parties off right. The single is released June 8.
Snoop Lion stars as Moses in this epic rap battle against Santa Claus and it has to be one of the most intense battles we’ve seen yet. While Santa goes against Moses for everything from a plague of frogs to bacon to mandatory circumcision, Moses retorts by going after Santa Claus’ weight (oh no he didn’t!!!).
ERB‘s previously epic rap battles include Barack Obama versus Mitt Romney and Frank Sinatra versus Freddie Mercury.
Who do you think won this battle?
Snoop Lion did an Ask Me Anything (AMA) with Reddit the other day and among tales of changing his name to Snoop Lion and working in movies, he answered a hella lot of questions about smoking pot. Like A LOT of questions about it. One of the most upvoted questions he got was: What’s the most amount of days you’ve gone without smoking? The answer was 164.
After the AMA Snoop seemed to be feeling super reflective because he filmed a question for the world: “The better question is, when was it when you first started smoking? And how long was your life before I take my first pull? That’s the question I pose to you, Reddit.”
What say you Internet?

We’re used to seeing half-naked women and drugs in Snoop Dogg’s music videos, but the thing is, he’s not Snoop Dogg anymore — he’s Snoop Lion. With a new name and a new music direction (reggae) it seems the rapper has also made over his wild music videos.
In the visuals for “La La La,” Snoop Lion talks to cute costumed kids about his new name and whether or not they like it. One of the girls, dressed as a bumble bee, confesses that she liked him better when he was Snoop Dogg (I’m guessing because she prefers dogs to lions).
Snoop Lion leads a conga line of these cute kids through a cartoon version of Noah’s Ark. Then he’s put in a coffin and is resurrected as a lion — King of the Jungle. He sits in his throne while a smoking pineapple floats up and down on the screen.
The song is from his forthcoming album Reincarnated.

I think the last and only time I live-tweeted some type of activity with my dad was back on Father’s Day when I took him to a board game cafe with my sister. The most rebellious things we did that day involved drinking high-calorie Nutella lattes and playing a mobster board game that involved fake guns, but other than that it was pretty Leave It to Beaver.
Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg Snoop Lion’s son Corde “Spanky” Broadus’ quality time with dad involves smoking pot. The 18-year-old regularly tweets photos of him smoking but we don’t always getting a glimpse of his badass rapper dad.
On Sept. 13 he tweeted the photo above with the description: “PURE morning.” A day before that he tweeted the photo below and wrote: “Wouldnt mind livin in Amsterdam Fo a year. #CaliDoed”
Like father like son, right?

Why are you so dreamy?
Excuse me David Beckham, why don’t you give me that, and I’ll take a picture of you? Sounds good to me. [mr-m33]
The only reason I watch the Olympics
Ever since the Olympics started a few days ago, every girl and their mother has been drooling over British diver Tom Daley. Doesn’t he kinda look like Stephen Colletti from Laguna Beach? [flawless-tomdaley]
Tom is definitely the life of the party
In a recent interview, the guys from The Wanted had to simply guess the name of the song playing. Instead of just answering the question, Tom Parker decided to give us a visual as well, impersonating his best “crotch grab” from Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber and Christina (X-Tina) Aguilera. Looks like Beyonce’s Sasha Fierce isn’t the only alter ego out there.
In an effort to introduce his upcoming album “Reincarnated”, rapper Snoop Dogg has revealed an alter-ego: Snoop Lion.
But don’t expect Snoop Lion to rap. Releasing his new single “La La La”, the tune is actually a slow-burning reggae production featuring the likes of from a up and coming singer named Jovi Rockwell.
Though some fans may not be used to hearing the genre exploration from Snoop, it’s not like the rapper hasn’t dabbled in it before. He can be heard singing in his song “Sensual Seduction” and in a country ode to weed called “Roll it Up” with Willie Nelson.
Shockingly smooth with a chill vibe, Snoop definitely looks dedicated to the cause. He has since created a Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr for his alter-ego.
What do you think of this new sound?
