It’s no secret the boys of The Wanted like to party. But things seemed to have gotten a little out of control when they finally arrived in Los Angeles leaving their manager, Scooter Braun, having to reel them in.
“It’s not like we’re going to set fire to a baby,” said Jay McGuiness, and to which Scooter replied, “…What I need you to do is understand that you’re not here to party.”
Considering Scooter also manages the likes of Justin Bieber, Psy and Carly Rae Jepsen, it’s probably words of wisdom The Wanted should heed. Will they adjust accordingly to life in L.A.? We’ll have to find out when The Wanted Life premieres on June 2nd on E!
It looks like boy band The Wanted have been making their ways around! Right after their appearance on Dancing With the Stars, jumped onto the set of The Voice Australia for yet another reality show performance. This time, Jay, Siva, Tom and Max performed their latest single “Walks Like Rihanna” on Tuesday. As usual, the boys looked and sounded great but we’re still a little sad that Nathan has been missing from the line-up as he recovers from his throat surgery.
The band will be doing more than performing on reality competition shows come this summer. The band’s own show, The Wanted Life, will premiere on Sunday June 2nd on E!. You can watch the preview for their Los Angeles shenanigans HERE.
British boy band The Wanted performed a cover of Tori Kelly’s “Fill A Heart” on Monday’s episode of Dancing with the Stars. The proceeds of the band’s cover will go to the “Child Hunger Ends Here” campaign.
The Wanted’s Tom Parker later tweeted about their performance:
Loved performing on DWTS. And it was for a real worthy cause. Visit childhungerendshere.com to make a difference x

Missing from the group was Nathan Parker who is still recovering from throat surgery.

If you’re like me, chances are you’ve had The Wanted’s latest single “Walks Like Rihanna” stuck in your head since its release, and have been eagerly awaiting the music video as they’ve been teasing on Twitter. We don’t have to wait any longer because the video is here!
With a title like this, one would expect the guys to be galavanting down the streets of Los Angeles while being surrounded by beautiful women. Instead, the guy’s fall head over heels over one woman—their director! The guys decided to use the opportunity to mock or pay homage (I haven’t decided yet) to past boy bands by reenacting scenes from N’Sync’s “No Strings Attached,” The Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way” and Take That’s “Back For Good.” I don’t know, I’m kind of getting a BSB “As Long As You Love Me” feel to the video too.
From the dance moves to the dramatic boyband poses, not gonna lie the video had me giggling ’til the end.
Jay, Max, Siva, Tom and Nathan also shared some behind the scenes footage on the U.K.’s Daybreak. Siva even confessed that he was supposed to be Kevin during their little homage to BSB.I’m going to assume Jay is Nick, Max is A.J, Tom is Brian and with Nathan’s hair slicked back, he’s clearly channeling Howie.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to hear the rest of this album.

Just a few days ago, The Wanted teased us with a snippet of their newest single, “Walks Like Rihanna”. Since then, we couldn’t wait until the full song premiere.
Luckily, the wait wasn’t too long as the single hit radio airwaves today and well, WE LOVE IT. It makes our hearts go boom boom! It might be a bit different than their previous singles, but we can still see ourselves singing this song into our good ol’ hair brush microphones.

TWFanmily can rejoice because a new The Wanted song is on the way! The band have just released a preview of the single, “Walks Like Rihanna.” Nathan Sykes‘ unplanned hiatus from the band may have thrown fans off guard but this pop number should hold them over until he makes a full recovery.
What do you think so far?
Major LOLs during their performance for ANDPOP

One of my favourite things about The Wanted is that they don’t take themselves too seriously. They started off our live-stream with not one, but two acoustic performances— ’I Found You’ and ‘Glad You Came.’ If you didn’t catch what all the laughing was about, they were making sexual noises during GYC. I see what you did there. [skittlesforjay]
Drunk in the studio?

Even though the guys are constantly busy on the road, they’re making time for their new album coming out early next year. Nathan blurt out, “When was the last time you were in the studio Jay?” He didn’t quite remember if it was yesterday… or the day before. Who could blame him, really? [nodoyjay]
Tom Parker 2.0

Jordan wanted to know what it would take to be a member of The Wanted. After him and Tom reversed roles, he showed off his British accent and suggested he could be the rapper in the group. When TW’s manager Scooter Braun called in, he even said he liked the new Tom better. Could it happen? [thewantedsexgods]
Siva knows what’s up

Nathan may be the youngest out of the guys, but don’t question him when it comes down to his vocal cords. That solo in ‘I Found You’ says it all. Wow. [teamjaythan]
Too close for comfort?

During the lyric, “I’m glad you came,” Nathan couldn’t help but give a little grip onto Siva’s leg. He was like — uh no. It’s okay Nathan, I’m single. [nathanns]

Many of us stash away embarrassing photos or home videos from our younger years that we’d rather forget. Think of that tap dance recital when the majority of your moves were enhanced with jazz hands or the middle school play in which you played an inconsequential role, like a stationary shrub.
For today’s generation, those videos are bound to be immortalized on YouTube one way or another. Luckily for the celebrities below, they all had pretty impressive talents that include everything from being a mini pop idol to stuffing and an obscene amount of marshmallows into one mouth.
One Direction’s Liam Payne
Looks like One Direction’s Liam Payne had a steady group of female groupies even before he was in the boy band. Here he is at 15, singing “Lost” at Merry Hill Christmas in 2008. Payne was a music technology student at City of Wolverhampton College and first auditioned for X Factor that same year. Although he made it to the judges’ houses, Simon Cowell didn’t think he was ready for the competition and asked him to come back in two years. Thankfully, he did.
Ed Sheeran
“Hello again, my name is Ed Sheeran and this is How Much Can You Fit in Your Mouth? Today’s episode is Tesco’s Fat Free Marshmallows.” Sheeran chronicled his mediocre foodie adventures on YouTube around age 14 or 15. Other episodes in the series documented how many Maltesers, Jaffa Cakes and Gummy Bears he could fit in his mouth before gagging. Luckily, he had a ‘spotter’ in his aloof assistant Steve. Of course, the singer also used YouTube to promote his fantastic music and his fan base steadily grew until he rocketed to fame with “The A Team” at age 20.
The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes
Here’s an 11-year-old Nathan Sykes giving us a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Notice his cheeky wink at the beginning before turning serious and showing off some impressive snake arms with his backup dancers. His 90s muscle shirt, baggy pants and black sweatband defined my entire generation.
