In most shows, one of the main characters has siblings or the main characters are a group of siblings. The interaction between a character and their sibling is crucial in television because it’s one of the most important relationships a person can have.
Siblings are typically the opposite of one another personality wise and this is one of the most realistic things television and film can convey. But when push comes to shove they are there for one another. Siblings go through hell and back to protect one another and these relationships are always the most heartwarming to see unfold on your screen. I don’t believe anyone who says they haven’t done something out of your comfort zone for your sibling or haven’t done something ridiculous to protect their integrity. Your sibling is that person who you would do anything for, and is the only one who you know will forgive you for doing lousy things.
There is no bond quite like the one between siblings, and to see these bonds on screen always makes for both hilarious and sweet moments.

Our favourite disney channel twins were always getting into mischief even though the hotel’s manager, Mr. Moseby, caught them every time. While these brothers could not be any more different, when the times got tough they were always there to stick up for one another and help each other out.
Cory & Eric (Boy Meets World)
These brothers rarely see eye to eye. Even though their age difference makes it uncool for the two to spend much time together, and Eric doesn’t always come through for Cory, the two have always had each other’s backs. The high school advice Eric gives to Cory may be a bit misguided, you can’t say he didn’t try to help out his little brother.
Phineas & Ferb (Phineas & Ferb)
These step brothers are able to accomplish amazing things together. These two child geniuses have spent almost every day of their summer vacation coming out with insane inventions, which their sister Candace is always trying to bust them for. Luckily, Candace is never successful as their inventions disappear just before their mom can see what they’re really up to.
Carrie & Dorrit (The Carrie Diaries)
One is a preppy writer while the other is a rebellious punk. The sisters are black and white, but the older Carrie is always willing to go to the moon and back to protect Dorrit. Dorrit may not show affection often, but her small gestures (like making Carrie a birthday mix tape) assure us that these two siblings love each other very much even if they don’t like to admit it.

Gabriel is in for a lifelong treat of sisterly advice. The two-year-old takes an earful from his older sister, who tells him that he needs to toughen up. The best part is that, apart from an apathetic appearance of his tongue, Gabriel just sits there and stares miserably into the abyss of his future.
From what I can gather, the older sister is lecturing Gabriel (in an ADORABLE British accent) that he shouldn’t be fighting with boys who are stronger than him. She even pulls the mum and dad card on young Gabriel. I’m not sure if I should admire this little one for being the best sister ever, or fear for Gabriel’s future. Ideally both.
When your television series is about a loveable serial killer, what’s a little more controversy?
According to Page Six.com, Michael C. Hall, star of HBO’s “Dexter,” is dating his on-screen sister, Jennifer Carpenter. The site reports that the two have been seen on various dates looking “cozy” together, including going out for breakfast early on a Saturday morning.
Hall filed for divorce from his wife last year.
