Mike Myers has wed his longtime girlfriend Kelly Tisdale in a secret ceremony, said his rep to E Online. The two have been dating since 2006 and have been secretly married for several months.

“I can confirm that last fall, Mike Myers and Kelly Tisdale were married in a private ceremony and celebrated with family and friends,” his rep told E! News.

Myers’ was married once before to wife of 12 years, comedy writer Robin Ruzan, meanwhile Tisdale was previously linked with music star Moby.

It completely baffles me how celebs are able to get away with things like this. I mean, Mike Myers is by no means an A-list celebrity who is constantly being hounded by paparazzi, but you’d think at least one paparazzi would be on location. Props to him though if he’s able to be in movies AND have a private life – something that isn’t easy to do in the world of Hollywood. Must be because he’s Canadian.

Speaking of Hollywood, though, while we’re on the topic of Myers – what has he done lately? The last huge blockbuster he’s been in is, of course, Austin Powers, which I dearly miss. But he hasn’t really done much after that, has he? Sure, Shrek can count as something but he wasn’t actually acting in it. Throwing on some PJs and recording your voice in a booth isn’t exactly hard work, in my opinion.

I say it’s time to bring back another Austin Powers movie. Except no Beyonce in it, this time.

For an ogre nobody likes, Shrek sure is popular.

Producers announced this week that Shrek will be making his Broadway debut this December, though a casting announcement for Shrek and Donkey has not yet been made, cbc.ca reports.

Casting for the show that has been made includes Princess Fiona, who will be played by Sutton Foster, Christopher Sieber will portray Lord Farquaar, and Kecia Lewis-Evans will play Dragon.

Shrek the Musical will have a pre-Broadway run in Seattle from late August until September, before beginning Broadway previews on Nov. 8. The show will officially open Dec. 14, and will be directed by Jason Moore, with music by Jeanine Tesori, and book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire.

If you can’t get enough of Shrek, you can catch the green ogre next holiday season on television.

Reuters reports that the half an hour animated Christmas shorts starring Shrek will air next December on television. The special is entitled “Shrek the Halls” and will feature the voices of the original film actors – Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz, Eddie Murphy and Antonio Banderas. The special will air on ABC.

“Family classics are a cornerstone of our brand, and ‘Shrek the Halls’ will provide warm memories year after year and be a great addition to our library of holiday favorites,” Stephen McPherson, ABC Entertainment president, said.

The special will pick up where the third movie, set to open in theatres next May, leaves off and will have the same sensibility of the films.

The third installment in the “Shrek” series is not going to be released until next year, but new actors in the film have been announced.

Reuters is reporting that Justin Timberlake, Amy Sederis, Eric Idle, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Cheri Oteri, Ian McShane, and John Krasinski are set to join the cast.

The women are playing various princesses, while Timberlake plays Princess Fiona’s cousin Artie, McShane plays Captain Hook, plays Sir Lancelot and Idle plays Merlin the magician.

The third movie is about Shrek and Fiona reportedly taking over the throne of Far Far Away. Shrek does not want to be king, and so he decides to try and find another heir to the throne, while trying to foil Prince Charmings attempt on the throne.
