Shia LeBeouf has joined the long line of young Hollywood law-breakers.
The 21-year-old actor was arrested in Chicago early Sunday morning after refusing to abide by security guards’ orders at a Walgreens superstore.
It is reported that the Transformers star was asked to leave the Walgreens because he was visibly intoxicated.
LeBeouf was charged with misdemeanor trespassing and was taken into custody, based on a complaint filed by one of the store’s guards. The actor was released several hours later, after posting bail.
“Once they asked him to leave, he should’ve left, but at that point it was trespassing,” Chicago Police Department spokesperson Joann Taylor told E! Online. “But he was very polite and everything.”
A hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 28.
BOBBY star SHIA LeBEOUF turned down the chance to study at Yale University on the advice of acting hero John Turturro.
The 20-year-old former child actor’s on-set tutorials paid off when he was accepted to the Ivy League university – but never went.
He recalls, “I remember asking John Turturro (if I should go) and he said, ‘You have all the opportunities now. You can go to college when you are 30 or 40. Wait until the pause comes.’”
