Sarah McLachlan and her drummer husband are separating, she has revealed to Billboard magazine.

The Canadian songstress is promoting two new songs, and said, “I’m separating from my husband, so these are the songs about that.”

McLachlan and Ashwin Sood have been together for 11 years, and have two daughters. She called the situation “pretty gross.”

“I wasn’t planning on saying anything,” she said, “but it’s gonna come out at some point. I haven’t said anything about it because I’ve been terrified to, but I figure … there’s no good time to say it, so I just said it.”

Despite rumours of a reconciliation being in the works, Hilary Swank and husband Chad Lowe have decided to file for divorce, Reuters reports.

The couple, who have been married for eight years, separated in January. However, since then paparazzi photos were taken of the couple together, which fueled the speculation that they were getting back together.

Swank?s publicist confirmed the split to people.com today.

“Hilary Swank and Chad Lowe have jointly decided to divorce. They continue to be friends and have the utmost respect for one another,” Jeffrey Bernstein, the couple?s lawyer, said to People.
