HIT: The Wanted gets their own reality show
According to Vulture, the Wanted will be getting their very own Ryan Seacrest-produced reality show on E! Cameras will follow the English boy band as they make the move to L.A. to record their third album. With Seacrest’s blindingly white smile supporting them, you know the show will be a hit. Though, the big question on everyone’s mind (okay, just mine) is: will Lindsay Lohan (Max George’s alleged groupie) make an appearance? Shall we start taking bets?

The worst rumour of the week goes to: Life & Style for reporting that Justin Bieber cheated on Selena Gomez with Rihanna during the early days of their relationship. To that I say: HAHAHAHAHA and throw in a Ryan Lochte-inspired “jeah, right!” because this is the worst hardly though-out pairing ever. Doesn’t Life & Style know by now that Rihanna likes the bad boys (or in Chris Brown’s case, douchebags)? Justin Bieber is too soft and baby-faced to be anywhere near RiRi’s radar.
HIT: Matt Smith to join Ryan Gosling’s new movie
Doctor Who’s Matt Smith is set to join the Ryan Gosling-directed project, How To Catch a Monster, alongside Gosling’s girlfriend, Eva Mendes. Considering the online fandoms surrounding Doctor Who and Gosling, I have to ask: is Tumblr funding this project? Asides from Mendes, it seems like Gosling’s casting director spent a lot of time on Tumblr to do his job. To that, I slow clap for your similar work ethics.

Single Selena Gomez recently dished to Extra! that she wouldn’t mind stealing a smooch from One Direction’s Zayn Malik. Doesn’t that sound like a great new relationship? She’s single, he’s s— oh, no. No, he is not single but I wouldn’t be surprise if he were currently headed for one considering his recently cheating scandal. Malik (who’s attached to pop star Perrie Edwards) had a one-night stand with a waitress. Oooooh! Can’t wait to see how this plays out!
MISS: Chris Brown and Frank Ocean got into a fight
Chris Brown can’t seem to stay out of trouble as the village idiot picked a fight with fellow Grammy nominee, Frank Ocean. The confrontation allegedly escalated when Ocean left Brown’s handshake hanging or over a parking space. Ocean and Brown acknowledged the scuffle on the Internet in their own respective ways. Ocean tweeted the incident and added, “”Cut my finger now I can’t play w/two hands at the Grammys,” while Brown practically compared himself to Jesus on the cross on Instagram. Brown has since made his account on the photo sharing website private and is currently under investigation. GO TEAM OCEAN!
HIT: Bradley Cooper took off his shirt at a spin class causing women to fall off their bikes
In his quest of perpetual handsomeness, current best actor nominee Bradley Cooper hit up a spin class in New York City for a quick work out and caused a lot of women to fall off their bikes. According to the New York Post, the actor tried to be incognito and wore a long sleeved shirt for most of the class until he decided to whip it off at the very end. The Post’s sources said at that point “girls were literally falling off their bikes,” but “he was super gracious” to the fans that had the courage to say hello after class. I hope someone took the opportunity to ask him out because he is single.

It’s funny that when you watch an interview with a celebrity the one thing you take out if it is something silly like: “Valentine’s Day plans.” OF COURSE the Nylon Magazine had to ask Selena Gomez about her plans — it’s an easy way to get the scoop on her and ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber without actually going there.
What we took out of this video? Selena is growing up!! Despite being in the spotlight for so long, she still seems pretty grounded and hardworking. Along with her new OPI nail colour collection, she’ll be celebrating the release of Spring Breakers on March 22. We were lucky enough to go to the TIFF screening in Toronto and loved it!

Why we love it: Ladies and gentlemen behold the transformative power of the breakup, add a sexy Versace dress and you’ve got magic! Gomez is no doubt a beautiful young lady but this dress shows how grown up the Disney starlet has come along. The structured bustier dress has a lot of nice intricate design details and golden embellishments which is a perfect fit for such a ‘golden’ event.

What she’s wearing: Swift walked the red carpet at the People’s Choice Awards in this white slinky Ralph Lauren gown.
Why we love it: What a show-stopper! Here’s proof #2 that a breakup can do a person good. While Swift may love to be in relationships, as fans we all know breakups do Swift well in the music and fashion departments. Can we talk about that sexy plunging neckline?! Not only does it show another side to Swift, but I have a feeling a certain British boybander might be kicking himself in the butt right about now. This look is the perfect mix of sex appeal and refined class. Swift pops with her chunky turquoise drop earring.
Don’t worry Taylor, I’d still give you a hug.
Takeaway: Showing cleavage is obviously an easy way to add some sex appeal to your look, but you need to make sure it’s not the only reason why people are talking about your dress. You wanna be remembered for a bit more than just your chest. So while a plunging neckline does give that wow factor, make sure the rest of your dress has enough class to balance out any potential sleaziness.

Is there a volume lower than mute?” and ” I’m not being mean but why does @andersoncooper remind me of dinosaurs?!?!?”

The next time we meet again, 2013 will be well on its way. While I look forward to the new year ahead of us, I can’t help but look back at some of 2012′s hits and misses. Thus, I present to you the best and worst of 2012 a.k.a. the year the world was supposed to end according to the Mayan but didn’t (thanks, Doctor!). Enjoy!
HIT: One Direction Mania
Every couple of years, a new teenage heartthrob comes in to replace the older version. In 2012 though, we not only got one cutie patootie, we got FIVE all thanks to music business genius and X-Factor judge, Simon Cowell. One Direction hit North American by storm selling millions of records, filling up concert venues and causing riots everywhere they went. If they can shoot out more infectious pop hits and stay as charming as they are in interviews, they can easily bypass the press’ comparisons to the Beatles and maybe last longer the few years normally allotted to boy bands.
MISS: Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez split up
With the final blow of a heart-wrenching split, it’s official: Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were the Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake of this generation, minus the matching denim outfit. With only rumours of a rekindling love affair to keep us warm at night, I’m going to call this celebrity relationship as official over until they show up at the next red carpet event hand in hand. Otherwise, I guess the title of the greatest lasting love story of this generation has to go to Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth by default. They may not be as picture perfect as everyone would like them to be, but they’ve been together for years and are engaged. Congrats, Miley!
HIT: Honey Boo Boo
Whether or not you were laughing along or laughing at her, you can’t deny the attention the sassy pageant princess known as Honey Boo Boo garnered this year. Honey Boo Boo, a.k.a. Alana Thompson, and her rag tag redneck family entertained us all summer long with their unusual ways and head scratching taglines. While TLC has moved incredibly far from the educational channel it initially hoped to be, we can learn a lot from Honey Boo Boo with her high level of self-confidence that many people (adults included) lack. HIT: Channing Tatum named People‘s “Sexiest Man of 2012″
I’m not going to lie, this is more of a half-hearted hit. I, like the rest of the internet, believed that the honour would finally go to Ryan Gosling. Seriously, the People’s Sexiest Man Alive award is like the Oscars for him: his name gets thrown around a lot but he never gets the prize. On the other hand, Tatum had a fantastic year. Between 21 Jump Street, Magic Mike (!!), and the three other movies he put out this year, Tatum really got the chance to show off his butt his acting skills.
MISS: Media analysis of the Justin Bieber/Selena Gomez split
I can’t help but shake my head whenever I see another entertainment show talk about the Bieber/Gomez break-up. Every entertainment host I’ve seen has used the kind of sad, serious tone that should only be reserved for disasters when they analysis “what went wrong.” Bieber and Gomez are 18- and 20-years-old respectively. Dear entertainment tools, what do you think happened? Breaking up with someone is hard, but to do it under such scrutiny is unimaginable. Just let them be!
HIT: iCarly fans to finally meet Carly’s dad
I don’t even watch the show, but from what I’ve heard, Carly’s dad is a colonel in the army and hasn’t been in a single episode of iCarly until now. I don’t want to spoil the plot for anyone so I’ll just leave that revelation at that (EW will spoil it though). I do suspect that this will be one tearjerker of an episode because it’s probably one of the sweetest storylines I’ve ever read. Prepare thy tissue boxes!

What she’s wearing: K-Stew stunned everybody in this strapless nude and sheer corseted Zuhair Murad dress at the Twilight Sage: Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere.
Why we love it: I’ve always been a fan of Stewart’s edgy and non-cutesy style, especially in the past year or so when she has seem to come into her own. The last time she donned Zuhair Murad she made it on this list, so this is clearly a match made in heaven. However with this look, Stewart proves that she can be the sexy bombshell that most people might have written her off for. This look is all woman and has come a long way since 2008 when she wore this tri-colour Balenciaga dress at the L.A. premiere for the first Twilight movie. The nude colour was a trend on the red carpet but she took it to the next level with the mix of sheer lace and cool corset, quite the risqué look but it all works.

Takeaway: While perfect for the red carpet this dress wouldn’t work in everyday life. Overall this is a very sexy look so take inspiration from the dress and try to incorporate nude colours, sheer fabrics, and lace into your outfit. You’ll be on trend for the season.
Dakota Fanning
What she’s wearing: The elder Fanning not only stepped out in teal Elie Saab Couture gown on the Twilight red carpet but she also introduced a new brunette hairdo as well.
Why we love it: I had to do a second look to realize it was Dakota, which goes to show you the power of a new hair colour! Not only do I love the new darker locks but they go perfectly well with the teal colour of her dress. The asymmetrical dress has nice draping on the side but also has stunning embellished lace detail which continues to the back of the dress to give this dress some pop of sparkle.

Takeaway: When you want to give your new hairstyle a bigger impact you sometimes got to pair it with the right outfit, especially in the right colour. And Fanning does just that by matching her new brunette hair with a gorgeous teal colour.

The Men of Twilight: Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, and Jackson Rathbone
What they’re wearing: All four guys walked the red carpet looking very dapper in suits. Pattinson in emerald green woven Gucci suit, Lautner in a classic grey Z Zegna suit, Lutz in a black and midnight blue satin Roberto Cavalli suit, and Rathbone in an all navy look in Calvin Klein.
Why we love it: I’m being selfish by including the four looks onto the list, but I usually only include one male look onto the list so I don’t feel bad for having multiple actors share a spot. People tend to disregard suits as not being fashion forward, while yes suits can be classic and somewhat timeless, you can still have fun with them. Pattinson and Ratbone both look fantastic in these bold and fun colours, while Lautner goes for simple and minimal. Lutz stood out from the rest with his satin blue lapels, which reminded me of James Bond (a style icon for every male).
Takeaway: Have fun with your suits and take some fashion chances. Opt for classic like Lautner, bold colour like Pattinson, monochromatic like Rathbone, or fun with textures like Lutz.

In the entertainment world, it can be tough making jokes about certain celebrities who have a massive fan following. Fangirls might be inclined to grab their glittered-out Pinterest dagger if they hear a snide comment about their future husband. That’s exactly what’s been happening with the Justin Bieber / Selena Gomez breakup.
Kimmel had the brilliant idea to outsource Justin Bieber breakup jokes to an Indian call center because he didn’t have enough time to write any and this way he wouldn’t get blamed for the backlash. Roger, the number one teller of jokes at the call center, grabbed his tried and true joke book. Most of them were pretty slapstick and slightly offensive but we appreciate the out of the box Bieber jokes.

Justin Bieber covered “Cry Me A River” at a Boston concert on Saturday night — an interesting choice considering he just broke up with Selena Gomez. Bieber has sung the song in the past, but not since 2008. We may be reading too much into it but it seems like a perfectly timed nod to the split.
Bieber hasn’t spoken publicly about the breakup (give the guy some time!) and was vague in an interview with radio host John Garabedian that same day. When asked about the split he replied: ”I don’t know what’s going on in my life . . . To even assess that it doesn’t make sense ’cause I have not made any comment.”
“Cry Me A River” was originally recorded by Justin Timberlake in 2002 to chronicle his failed relationship with Britney Spears. Perhaps we can expect a new breakup anthem in the future?

According to E! News, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez ended their relationship a week ago due to distance and conflicting schedules.
Eighteen-year-old Bieber is touring to promote his latest album Believe, while 20-year-old Gomez is filming a “Wizards of Waverly Place” reunion for the Disney Channel called “The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex.”
Gomez and Bieber, have been dating for over a year since going public with their romance in February 2011 when they attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party together.
While the split may seem devastating to fans, Bieber appears to be OK (well, at least in public). On the red carpet of Wednesday’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show, he was spotted saying, “I’d rather be here than anywhere in the world.”
I can’t help but feel a little sad that Justin and Selena are no more. I actually thought they were adorable.
But while I hope the two can at least stay friends, I know a lot of girls’ hearts just started pounding a lot faster. Now that the Biebs is back on the market, the prospects of being with him have just gotten a lot bigger!!

Sooo the room may not have exploded, but Oprah + Justin Bieber = sizzling details about young love. When the two got together to chat for an episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter, JBiebs talked about his girlfriend Selena Gomez. According to Justin, although it’s hard for him and his gf to travel together with screaming fans around, he tries to be around Selena whenever he can. How thoughtful.
As a side note, the video also shows Oprah and Justin enjoying a nice candle lit dinner together, followed by a shopping trip. The room may not have exploded, but my mind just did.
Sorry ladies! Unfortunately, “Jerry” does not make an appearance in the “personal” footage that was “stolen” from Justin Bieber. I’m using quotation marks because it turns out all the drama was actually a well executed stunt from Bieber incorporated. The good news is, Beliebers can rest easy knowing that Justin was never in any real danger of being exposed or humiliated. Furthermore, we got a new music video that’s highly innovative. The new video for ‘Beauty and The Beat’ features Nicki Minaj and was entirely written, directed and shot by Justin. So in the end everyone wins because if someone had actually stolen something from Bieber they would probably be executed by now.

Who: It took 20 minutes for Selena Gomez to get this tattoo of the Roman numerals LXXVI (number 76) by New York’s Bang Bang.
Meaning: The tattoo is in tribute to a family member who means a lot to her.
Demi Lovato
Who: Demi Lovato has over 10 tattoos, depending on how you count them. She got these tattoos that read “Let go & let god” across her feet.
Meaning: According to US Magazine Demi Lovato has admitted she regrets getting a few tattoos from her younger years. A lot of Demi’s more recent tattoos are spiritual, including the tatts on her feet and the word “faith” on her left arm, below her elbow.
Harry Styles
Who: One Direction’s Harry Styles has a helluva lot of new tattoos.
Meaning: There are just too many to go through in this one area. Among the singer’s tattoos are his sister Gemma’s name in Hebrew, a large black star, an iced gem and the words “Won’t stop ’till we surrender.” His newer tatts include masks representing comedy and drama, along with the initials “SMCL.”
Rihanna
Who: Rihanna got this tatt of the Egyptian goddess Isis in London’s SOHO neighbourhood just before her 2012 Paralympics Closing Ceremony performance with Coldplay.
Meaning: Isis was the ”ideal mother and wife as well as the patron of nature and magic.” She wrote on Twitter that the tattoo is dedicated to her late grandmother: ”Goddess Isis- Complete Woman – Model for future generations- #GRANGRANDOLLY – always in and on my heart #1love.”

Selena Gomez lost her cool twice on Ellen after costumed monsters snuck up behind her and pounced in the middle of the interview. The first time, Leatherface tiptoed to her chair and blasted a chainsaw behind her and the second time a caped Dracula yelled into her ear. Gomez flipped her lid, cowering in her seat while the audience laughed at the hilarity (way to give NO WARNING audience).
It’s pretty fitting considering one of the starlet’s favourite places IN THE WORLD is this place called Knott’s Scary Farm, where she hesitantly explores the mazes with boyfriend Justin Bieber, half covering her eyes. She’s also starring in a Halloween-appropriate animated movie called Hotel Transylvania with Adam Sandler. The movie is about Count Dracula, who goes into over-protective mode when his daughter (Gomez) meets a boy.
We love that Selena was such a good sport about the whole thing, especially after the second time. That’s pretty much an all time record on the Ellen show! I’d also be mildly scared to go on the Ellen show from now to Halloween because sh*t is going to go down.

Justin Bieber’s mom Pattie Mallette went on The Ellen Show and gushed about her son’s girlfriend Selena Gomez. Naturally, she loves the girl, which isn’t surprising considering you can’t find a much more adorable girlfriend than a dimple-cheeked Disney star who bakes cupcakes with Taylor Swift. She would absolutely destroy a Meet the Parents-style dinner, in a good way.
After sharing her feelings about Gomez, Ellen presented her with a special gift. When Justin was born, Mallette took a vow to not have sex until she was married. And since she wouldn’t date until Bieber turned 18, she was off the market until recently.
Ellen just couldn’t understand how she went so long without getting some action and thoughtfully presented Mallette with a Match.com six month gift certificate. That means our next mission is to sign up for Match.com and find Mallette. She’s a catch!

WTF: Loose knitted half ski masks
Most runway shows aim for at least a touch of theatrics. While I appreciate every bit of it, I just hope that some of the out-of-the-box looks don’t turn into trends. Take for example these Alexander Wang half ski masks from the Fall 2012 collection. Shown last February, I think it’s supposed to be a chic twist on the ski mask but the wind would go right through making it the most useless winter accessory.
