Jerry Seinfeld has opened up his archives, making his standup clips available on JerrySeinfeld.com.

It will house hundreds of clips that include the 57-year-old’s first network appearance on ‘The Tonight Show’ in 1981 up to the present day, reports PopEater. The site was inspired by his thirteen year old daughter who listens to comedy albums on her iPod.

Another interesting tidbit, Jerry hates watching himself on re-runs of “Seinfeld.”

“I think because as much as I enjoy the humor of it, it kind of reminds me of how hard it was to do,” he tells PopEater. “I can’t seem to get that part out of my head and just enjoy the show but I’m working on it because I would like to watch them more. When I watch them, I see my face and I see how I was struggling.”

Len Lesser, Uncle Leo on “Seinfeld” Passes Away

It’s a sad day for those of us who watch “Seinfeld” reruns and quote the show in our sleep. Famed actor, Len Lesser, most famous for playing Uncle Leo on the show has passed away this morning at the age of 88.

The actor died in his sleep in Burbank, California due to complications from pneumonia. Lesser made numerous appearances on a variety of television shows such as “Castle” and “Everybody Loves Raymond”. He will be remembered as a man with a charming sense of humor. RIP.

Kramer Tries to Restore Image

Seinfeld’s Michael Richards, aka Kramer, made an appearance on Curb Your Enthusiasm, attempting to make a joke out of his 2006 racist rant at the Laugh Factory, TMZ reports.

In an episode of Seinfeld-creator Larry David’s popular series, Richards goes off on a African-American character and threatening him, says, “”If only there were a horrible name that I could call you … that would make you as angry as I am.”

At the same time he is being filmed by a group of spectators, mimicing the 2006 incident. He then pulls of a few Kramer-like gestures and storms off.

For fans of Richards, the 2006 tirade was the disappointing destruction of arguably the most popular character in sitcom history. While this may have helped to ease the tension, I think the best thing for Richards is to bury the incident completely.

The “Seinfeld” gang is back for more laughs.

More than a decade after the end of their Emmy Award-winning sitcom, Jerry Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards are reuniting for the HBO comedy “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

The actors will play themselves in a multi-episode arc of the satirical, pseudo-reality series, which stars fellow “Seinfeld” alum Larry David.

The foursome’s appearance, which will air during the show’s upcoming seventh season, marks the first time they have starred together in a scripted program since “Seinfeld” ended its nine-season run in 1998.

David, a former stand-up comedian, co-created and served as executive producer and head writer on that show, penning such classic episodes as “The Contest.”

He went on to create “Curb,” in which he plays “himself” as a socially inept, semi-retired multimillionaire living in Los Angeles post-”Seinfeld.”

Seinfeld, Louis-Dreyfus and Alexander have all made separate guest appearances on the show over the years.

With all his fame and fortune, it’s surprising that Jerry Seinfeld hasn’t starred in a feature film. Even more surprising, when he finally makes his big-screen debut on Nov. 2, it’ll be his voice – not his face – that movie-goers will find familiar.

Seinfeld is the voice of Barry B. Benson in “Bee Movie,” a film he also wrote and produced.

The comedian was in Toronto recently to promote the film and stopped to talk to andPOP during a red-carpet event.

Larry David Splits From Wife

Funnyman LARRY DAVID has confirmed he has split from LAURIE, his wife of 14 years.

It was reported the pair’s marriage was in trouble in yesterday’s New York Post’s Page Six column – but a spokesperson for the pair has made the split official.

Heather Lylis said the split “very amicable and … they’re going to continue to raise their two (daughters) together as friends.”

David co-created the hugely successful TV show Seinfeld, before finding fame on the other side of the camera in Curb Your Enthusiasm, which he wrote and starred in.

Laurie David has found success of her own as an environmental campaigner and the producer of documentary An Inconvenient Truth.

Seinfeld Jumps From Cannes Hotel Roof

Comedian JERRY SEINFELD took a huge leap of faith to promote his new film BEE MOVIE at the Cannes Film Festival in France – by jumping from a hotel roof, dressed as an insect.

The Seinfeld star, dressed in a yellow-and-black bee suit, dived from a hotel and swung out over the Carlton Hotel Pier as photographers took shots way below him.

The comedian joked, “They tell me Scorsese did the same thing last year for The Departed.”

Richards Invited To Racist Rant ‘Mock Trial’

Former SEINFELD star MICHAEL RICHARDS has been invited to attend a “mock trial” later today, organised by lawyers for black audience members he racially abused last year.

Richards hit the headlines in November for repeated use of the word “n**ger” during a foul-mouthed tirade aimed at two African-American hecklers at the Laugh Factory in California.

Lawyer GLORIA ALLRED, who represents the black audience members, has invited Richards to attend tomorrow’s meeting at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.

However, Richards is not thought likely to attend the face-to-face event, to which the press have also been invited.

Allred tells PageSix.com, “Richards wants this to be a secret meeting, with no public awareness of what happened, and we do not agree.”

Carrey Lends Support To Richards

Hollywood funnyman JIM CARREY has defended troubled comedian MICHAEL RICHARDS after his racist rant in a Los Angeles comedy club last year.

The former SEINFELD star MICHAEL RICHARDS hit headlines last November for repeated use of the word “n**ger” during a foul-mouthed tirade aimed at two African-American hecklers at the Laugh Factory in California.

But the 45-year-old BRUCE ALMIGHTY star, who knew Richards from his early days on the Canadian comedy circuit, believes he should be forgiven for his behaviour because he never intended any real harm.

Carrey says, “He doesn’t hate anybody, man. I know that if there was an African-American fallen in the street, he would pick them up and help them out. He was just super-super angry and bitter at that moment.

“When you’ve got a lot of seething anger inside of you, and suddenly somebody triggers it, you pick up the biggest rock you can find.

“But I look at it and go, y’know, it’s a hard lesson, but (Richards) is going to learn a s**tload about himself through it, and it would be a drag if people wrote him off as a result of it.”

DVD Review: Seinfeld Seasons 5 & 6

Upon hearing that the fifth and sixth seasons of Seinfeld were released on DVD late last month, your first instinct may be to shrug and say that you don’t need the DVDs because Seinfeld is still on several times a day.

But the DVDs have more bonus features than you will have time to watch. It may take you a year or two to get through them all.

Before you get to the extras, you may want to refresh your memory and watch some of the classic episodes. The first few seasons, Seinfeld was gaining an identity. These are the seasons where Seinfeld was already being recognized as one of the greatest shows ever produced, and these episodes are some of the best.

The episodes include Fussily Jerry, The Stall, The Hamptons, The Opposite? let’s face it, there were no bad episodes in Seinfeld. There was no decline. Every episode is memorable and every episode is worth watching again.

The quality of the picture is much better than you’ll see on the Seinfeld reruns. The transition onto DVD is presented with a much more vibrant picture, and it’s complemented well with Dolby Digital 2.0 sound.

After you watch some episodes, you’ll want to hear the commentaries (they call it the “Yada Yada Yada” section). Sometimes the behind-the-scenes crew are speaking, while other episodes are done by some of the cast members. It’s a shame, as Jerry might say, that all four principal cast members could not do commentary together on an episode. Speculation has it that they are not all seeing eye to eye these days, though they did get together for a couple interviews last month to promote these two sets.

Several of the episodes also have inside looks, where the cast and the crew share stories of how the episode came together.

Each also has deleted scenes, NBC promos, Jerry’s standup routines, and bloopers.

The highlight of both is a feature that appears on season six, called “Running with the Egg,” which is a step-by-step look of how a Seinfeld episode is created, from the script idea, to rewrites, to table reads, to shooting the episode, to editing, to air. It’s a remarkable look at how much work goes into one single episode.

Another gem is a feature on season five, “Jason + Larry = George,” examining how George was created.

Season six also has a feature called “Sein-imation,” which animates scenes from some episodes. It sounds better in theory than it looks.
