Boys from ‘Jersey Shore’ Hit Up Jimmy Kimmel

The boys from “Jersey Shore” paid a visit to Jimmy Kimmel last night to talk about the new season. Below are some highlights from the chat:

- Vinny does leave the show at one point in the season. ”It got real for me for a little bit and I had to take care of myself,” Vinny said, noting severe difficulties balancing his life and the show’s demanding schedule. “But you’ll see — a good thing ends up coming out of it.”

- “It was a big shock to us … he was like the voice of reason in the house,” says The Situation about Vinny.

- Pauly D says,” You don’t know what you’ve got till its gone,” regarding Vinny.

- Pauly D talked about his spinoff, and The Situation mentioned he has something going on. ”Everybody’s got their own things going on,” he said. “I don’t know if we’re allowed to discuss everything.”

Could Jersey Shore Be Over?

If you loved ‘Jersey Shore,’ this is bad news. If you hate it, this could be good news. HollywoodLife is reporting a connected source is claiming MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore’ might be finished after season 5.

“The cast just isn’t as close as they once were,” a source tells HollywoodLife. “They are all pursuing their own projects, clothing lines, perfume lines and several of them want their own spinoffs. There’s a lot of competition and they all feel like they’re famous enough in their own rights to continue on without the show.”

“Pauly D has been trying to secure his own reality show for a while,” another source tells HollywoodLife. “Mike wants his own show but no one has really wants to go forward with it and Snooki and JWoww were trying to get their own show.”

We think this is a terrible decision. Realistically, the cast is really only good for one thing – ‘Jersey Shore.’ If they quit that, then we believe they are all finished completely.

The Hills To Return (Sans Lauren Conrad)

MTV has announced their hit show “The Hills” will return for another season later this year without Lauren Conrad, its original star.

“MTV viewers will find out life in Los Angeles only gets more complicated as friendships, relationships and loyalties are tested like never before as ‘The Hills’ returns this fall with more episodes of season five,” read a press release from the network to MTV News.

According to MTV, Audrina Patridge, Stephanie Pratt, Lo Bosworth, Brody Jenner and Justin Bobby will be back for the new season.

And of course, the newlyweds will be returning as well. “Spencer and Heidi will be newlyweds. So the stakes are higher than ever before for the two to make things work,” read the statement issued to MTV News.

Friend and “The City” star Whitney Port tells MTV News why she thinks Conrad left the show. “I think at this point, she’s put everybody else and the audience in front of her for the last eight years, so now she decided she needs to put herself first”.

‘Instant Star’ Wrapping Up At End Of Season

“Instant Star” will take its final curtain call at the end of Season 4.

Stephen Stohn, one of the show’s executive producers, made the announcement on the CTV.ca message boards, saying that it was the best move for the show. “In the case of Instant Star, the resolution of the plot lines at the end of the final episode of Season 4 is such that it is completely possible to end the series gracefully at that point, and leave on a high note with everyone wanting more but feeling very satisfied with the series as a whole. There will be no Season 5. We have let the cast and crew know this. We have let them know how enormously proud we are of them for having been part of the creation of one of the most innovative and original TV series in television history. And they have responded with thanks and congratulations-not many series get even four seasons, and Instant Star has been an enormous success in over 120 countries around the world for exactly that!”

Stohn also mentioned that it is “almost certain” that “Degrassi” will go on for an eighth season.
