In honour of Valentine’s Day, screenjunkies did an Honest Trailer for the sappy yet timeless romance, The Notebook, because DUH your significant other will probably make you re-watch it on Thursday. They were really thinking of you the whole time: “This Valentine’s Day… Send this to your girlfriend so she doesn’t make you watch The Notebook again.”
I hear your complaints Honest Trailers but you can’t argue with this:

Or this:

Especially this:

I really appreciate screenjunkies‘ latest Honest Trailer for Skyfall because they pointed out the parallels between the film’s goofy ending and Home Alone. I noticed right away how James Bond got all “Kevin McCallister” when he was rigging his family home with crafty explosives to defeat the bad guys.
The parody movie trailer also points out tons of plot inconsistencies and cliches of the fiftieth anniversary Bond film, which was also the highest grossing of the franchise.
When I saw Inception in theatres, my mind was blown. But I was surprised to find that a lot of my friends didn’t feel the same way. Screen Junkies Honest Trailers took on the film with deafening horn noises, justifying the opinions of all those naysayers.
Just like the audience, the characters in the film (Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Loves-it, Ellen Page and a dreidel) can’t figure out what the hell is going on. The movie is so complex is requires intense concentration at any moment.
Previously, they’ve done trailers for The Hunger Games, Paranormal Activity, The Avengers and Prometheus. What do you want to see them take on next?
Screen Junkies finally took on one of the most requested titles for their Honest Trailer series, nerd bible The Lord of the Rings. The team sat through each movie AND the extended footage to pluck out the best scenes in honour of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit.
The movie, which employed an entire nation, ended up being a very expensive tourism commercial, showcasing hills and mountains by having the characters walk, stroll, hike and galavant across epic landscapes. Then there are the endless endings — seriously, they go on FOREVER.
Previously, they’ve done trailers for The Hunger Games, Paranormal Activity, The Avengers and Prometheus. What do you want to see them take on next?
Screen Junkies finally did an Honest Trailer for The Dark Knight Rises and it’s everything we hoped it would be. This is the final chapter of Christopher Nolan’s Batman series, which most definitely peaked with the Joker. The epic final chapter will mildly entertain you but will anger you when you really start to think about it. There are just way too many questions that need to be answered.
Previously, they’ve done trailers for The Hunger Games, Paranormal Activity, The Avengers and Prometheus. What do you want to see them take on next?
Part two of the Twilight Saga, New Moon features werewolves, shirtless dudes, terrible acting and even more AWKWARD stares. If you’re planning to see the new Breaking Dawn but don’t know what to expect, this Honest Trailer by screenjunkies should prepare you.
Previously, they’ve done trailers for The Hunger Games, Paranormal Activity, The Avengers and Prometheus. Do you think it’s an honest depiction?

With all this talk of Disney buying Star Wars and making plans to do the next three films, screenjunkies decided to end the speculation by offering this exclusive, first look at a Disneyfied Star Wars.
Unfortunately, things aren’t going so well. Everyone in Disney’s stock is just a little too peachy for the franchise. Snow White won’t wear Princess Leia’s skimpy costume (PRUDE) and you can barely make out what Donald Duck is saying. Jack Sparrow has that edge they’re looking for but not surprisingly, he’s too drunk the remember his lines.

With great power comes endless rebooting of rehashed material, at least according to Screen Junkies. So many people were demanding it, that Honest Trailers decided to take on The Amazing Spider-Man, the movie that absolutely NO ONE demanded but that Sony had to do to retain the rights to the character.
The honest depiction of the movie? It follows a likeable, stuttering stalker who easily walks into a high security lab and gets bitten by a radioactive spider. Then he’s forced to take on a villain with the most stereotypical origin story in superhero history and happens to be very important to Peter Parkers life.
Screen Junkies previously took on The Hunger Games, Prometheus and The Avengers. Do you think they represented the movie honestly? What do you want to see them do next?

These days, many comedians are trying to branch out into different movie genres to give their portfolio more depth and show fans their multi-layered talents. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if Austin Powers’ actor Mike Myers expanded his base and attempted a horror movie?
Halloween would be the natural fit because 1. That movie rocks and needs another unnecessary remake 2. The main character’s name is Michael Myers. It’s too perfect. Screen Junkies decided to imagine what Halloween would look like if it starred the Love Guru. It’s a little groovier than the version we’re used to.
This Halloween seems to be all about strategically editing horror movies to be comedies and vice versa. We’re not complaining!

Screen Junkies video of the Seven Psychopaths stars Christopher Walken, Colin Farrell and Sam Rockwell reading dialogue from TLC’s depressing reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo turned out to be certified Internet GOLD.
The video was so popular that TLC agreed to let host Hal Rudnick flip the script and have Honey Boo Boo and her mom read some of Christopher Walken’s most famous lines. Scenes were taken from Pulp Fiction, Catch Me If You Can and Saturday Night Live (GOTTA HAVE MY COWBELL).

It’s nearly Halloween, which means it’s time for Screen Junkies to roll out Honest Movie Trailers for horror movies. This round, we get Paranormal Activity, a cheaper less interesting version than the Blair Witch Project. While the Oren Peli-directed film, starring NO ONE, is supposed to be scary, it’s basically a really boring film in which the main characters get freaked out by empty rooms, ceiling grates and floating blankets.
Screen Junkies previously created Honest Movie Trailers for Prometheus, The Avengers and The Hunter Games. What would you like to see next?

Instead of reading boring, snobby movie reviews, from now on I’m just going to head straight to Screen Junkies‘ Honest Trailers. In this episode, they take on Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, a confusing, movie chronicling explorers journeying to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they are forced to fight a terrifying battle to save the human race. [Sound cue: Dum, dum, dum.]
The clip, directed by Andy Signore and Brett Weiner, points out all the plot inconsistencies and strange character developments.
In the past, Honest Movie Trailers took on The Hunger Games and The Avengers. With Halloween around the corner it’s the perfect time to take on a horror movie. Which would you like to see them do? How about Scream? The teen sexfest starring 90s-relevant actors who blindly run into the danger instead of away from it.

Welcome to the honest movie trailer for The Avengers, the teaser that reminds us the two-hour geek fantasy will blind all nerds from forming any rational opinions. If that sounds like you, then you should check out this clip by Screen Junkies, that points out the movie’s inconsistencies, character flaws and complex Marvel politics that are behind the film.
Hopefully it won’t ruin it for you, but considering The Avengers is pretty much invincible to criticism, that’s pretty unlikely. Plus, it sounds like the people who made it have mega crushes on Joss Whedon. They write in the description: “We loved ‘The Avengers’… but you guys demanded this one!”

Sometimes movie trailers are way better than the actual movies themselves. Based on carefully selected clips, music and strategic spinning the plot, a plotless flick can come off looking inspired.
That’s why Screen Junkies created Honest Trailers. Their newest video is for The Hunger Games, which is funny because I actually enjoyed both the movie and trailer. Still, when the narrator plainly states the plot and facts, you realize how silly it can come off.
