HIT: Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively get married
Ryan Reynolds, a.k.a. 2010′s Sexiest Man of the Year, married Gossip Girl’s hottie Blake Lively in South Carolina on Sunday night. It’s Blake’s first marriage and Reynold’s second. Not only did Martha Stewart’s team plan the wedding (and will be featured in her December issue), it took place in the house that Rachel McAdam’s character in the Notebook lived in during that fateful summer. Basically, they had every bride’s dream wedding.
MISS: Amy Poehler and Will Arnett are separating

Poehler and Arnett announced their separation last week. The couple have been together for nine years and have two children together. Arnett also made an appearance on Poehler’s Youtube advice channel. The split has apparently been amicable so hopefully for comedy lovers, this isn’t the end of their onscreen collaborations. For the rest of us, though, this might be the end of true love.
HIT: Emma Stone stars in a Breast Cancer awareness ad with her mom

The all-around amazing actress is in Revlon’s PSA ad, “Your Lips Can Save Lives” with her breast-cancer survivor mom, Krista, who diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008. Stone hopes to be an advocate for getting checked every year as her mom’s tumor wasn’t there the year before she was diagnosed. She and her family all have blackbird feet tattoos (from the Beatles’ “Blackbird” and drawn by the Paul McCartney no less) to commemorate her mother’s journey. Can you be anymore perfect, Emma?
MISS: Rihanna caught kissing Chris Brown at the VMAs

I don’t care if Rihanna forgave him, but I do care about what Brown represents. The fact that people still treat him like a god that makes me angry when I see people hating on girls like Kristen Stewart. Cheat on your boyfriend? You have the whole world hating you. Hit your girlfriend? Win a couple of awards a few years later even though you behave like a douchebag. The world is unfair.
HIT: Anderson Cooper talks about coming out

Cooper made his first public comments on his coming out on Monday since July. He spoke with his guest co-host Kristen Chenowith on his daytime show Anderson Live. He decided to let the public know because to him, visibility was important. “… The tide of history only moves forward when everybody is fully visible,” he continued. You go Anderson Cooper! You’ve achieved hero status.
MISS: Allison Pill accidently tweets topless photo of herself
The Newsroom actress, Allison Pill, accidently tweeted a photo of herself wearing a cute pair of glasses and nothing else on Wednesday morning. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, Pill. We’ll forgive you because a) you ‘fessed up and didn’t blame it on a hack, b) said it was you, c) you’re adorable with or without a shirt, and c) you’re fiancé to be, Jay Baruchel retweeted your apology. If anything, Pill should apologize for the cavity she’s giving me because her and Baruchel are too cute.
They’ve only been spotted sneaking around the Boston area together for a month, but the New York Post reports they’re planning to get an apartment.
The couple, who starred opposite each other in The Green Lantern, are vying for a three-bedroom penthouse suite on Fifth Ave, selling for 4.5 million dollars.
Blake, who’s 24, has been spotted visiting Ryan, 35, while he’s filming a movie in Boston. They’ve only been rumoured to be a couple for a month, which seems ab it too early to be looking at homes together. Blake’s in the cusp of her break-up with Leonardo Dicaprio and Ryan’s a newly divorcee. if the two don’t slow things down they could end up broken-hearted again.
The Gossip Girl seems to change boyfriends as often as she changes her underwear (granted, if she ever wears any!).
A few weeks ago, the 24-year-old actress was roaming Europe with the Inception fox Leonardo DiCaprio. Now, Hollywood Life is reporting she’s cozying up with Canuck cutie Ryan Reynolds.
Ryan, who divorced from Scarlett Johansson earlier this year, allegedly had a romantic evening with Blake in Boston where he’s shooting his new movie R.I.P.D. The rumoured item were once an item on the big screen, playing the lead roles in The Green Lantern.
One might think the way Blake moves from one man to the other isn’t entirely classy. We certainly don’t want her invading our country, breaking the hearts of all our good men. After all the marital pain Ryan’s endured lately, we hope Blake’s in it more than to just hit it.
Us Magazine reveals the reason behind Ryan Reynolds and Charlize Theron’s split after two months of dating.
A source told the magazine that “he only wanted something casual, but she’s in a rush to settle down, have kids and start a family since she’s getting older.”
Lets not forget about the fact that both Theron and Reyolds are super busy and we all know how long-distance works out.
According to a friend of Theron, “they were hardly ever together anyway.”
Theron wasn’t too happy when Reynolds dumped her. “She knows deep down that it wouldn’t have worked, but she is pretty bummed out about it all,” said the source.
Who wouldn’t be bummed? Just look at him.
Although Ryan Reynolds didn’t have a successful first film, those who enjoyed seeing him suit up in a tight green suit will get to see it again.
In an interview between The Los Angeles Times and Warner Bros. film group, President Jeff Robinov said that there will be a sequel to “The Green Lantern” but there will be some major changes to follow.
“We had a decent opening so we learned there is an audience,” he said. “To go forward we need to make it a little edgier and darker with more emphasis on action…. And we have to find a way to balance the time the movie spends in space versus on Earth.”
On the film’s first weekend, it opened to $53 million, which was a small disappointment. Domestically, it earned $114 million and just $154 million worldwide. And to add to the disappointment, the film received 26% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Ouch.
Well, hopefully they’ll change it up for the better. Though I don’t mind seeing Ryan Reynolds suit up, a second failure might steer him away from super hero movies in the near future.
And that, would probably be bad news for the ladies.
Radar Online is reporting that former co-stars Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds went to the same New Year’s party this year and “danced the night away [together]” according to one source.
Bullock and Reynolds, both newly divorced, attended a Roaring ‘20s costume party at Sandra’s restaurant Bess Bistro in Austin, Texas. The pair made no effort to hide their cozy chill time, taking pictures together which are now apparently up for sale.
“They got friendly after they made The Proposal together,” explains a source. “They’re buddies.”
Buddies indeed! We’re calling these guys our Favourite Budding Couple of 2011.
E Online is reporting that hollywood super-couple Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson are officially separating.
The amazingly good-looking couple tied the knot back in September of 08, officially breaking the “we’d have the best looking kids ever” record, currently held by my parents.
The news of their separation comes shortly after Reynolds was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive and Johansson GQ’s Babe of the Year.
Reynolds’ abs had the following to say: “We’ll be fine.”
It’s been a busy couple of years for Ryan Reynolds, who just several years ago was one of two guys who worked with a girl at a pizza place. Today, according to MTV News, People Magazine has named the Canadian actor as 2010′s sexiest man alive.
Reynolds has taken on much meatier roles in the past couple years compared to those of his sitcom days or when he worked at “Shenanigans” with Justin Long. He played a single father alongside Abigail Breslin in Definitely Maybe and garnered the starring role in the latest instalment of the X-Men franchise. Both proved to be magnificent opportunities to take off his shirt, and his next film, The Green Lantern, which also stars gossip girl Blake Lively, should be no different. Especially after receiving the coveted “Sexiest Man Alive” title.
The announcement comes just weeks after Scarlett Johansson, Reynolds’ wife, was named GQ Magazine’s ‘Babe of the Year’. More tough times for the couple ahead.
After “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” brought in a hefty $35 million on opening night alone and a worldwide gross of $158.2 million (and counting), 20th Century Fox has announced a spinoff movie featuring Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds as Marvel Comics’ Deadpool, according to E! Online.
Reynolds will star once again as Wade Wilson, a mercenary who is cured from cancer after going through the Genetic X mutation that also affected Wolverine.
The stars of “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” brought a little Hollywood glitz and glamour to Tempe, Arizona as they attended the world premiere screening of the movie on Monday.
The city won the right to host the world premiere via an online voting contest sponsored by Twentieth Century Fox.
According to the Arizona Republic, thousands of people – many of whom camped out the night before – showed up for the event at the Harkins Tempe Marketplace theatre.
Jackman arrived at the premiere in style, riding in on a Harley Davidson motorbike in a nod to his mutant counterpart. He was also presented with a “Wolverine Parking Only” placard from the mayor of Tempe, Hugh Hallman, who proclaimed the day “X-Men Day.”
Congrats to the new Hollywood couple!
Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson have officially tied the knot on Saturday in Vancouver, Canada, after having announced their engagement four months ago.
The two Hollywood actors who have been dating since February 2007, according to Us Magazine, wed at a remote wilderness resort just outside the city.
Reynolds, 31 and a native of Vancouver, is most notably known for his roles in films such as “Van Wilder,” “Blade Trinity,” “The Amityville Horror,” and will be seen in upcoming movies such as “Fireflies in the Garden,” “Adventureland,” and “X-Men:Origins.”
Johansson, 23, is well known for her performances in “Lost in Translation,” “Girl with a Pearl Earing,” and will be seen in her upcoming films, “The Spirit” and “He’s Just Not That into You.”
Few details are available, but guests reportedly included Scarlett’s mother, Melanie Sloan, and her brother Adrian Johansson.
The National Enquirer reports that Ryan Reynold’s jealous streak may be a threat to his engagement to Scarlett Johansson.
Reynolds is said to be insecure about the good-looking men Johansson works with. “He almost drove Scarlett away,” a source told The Enquirer. “Now that she is marrying him, she told him in no uncertain terms to quit being jealous – after all, he’s the one who is shattering many men’s dreams of getting sexy Scarlett down the aisle. But it drives him crazy when other guys flirt with her.”
Johansson just filmed a movie with Orlando Bloom and Ethan Hawke.
Now that she’s engaged to Canadian hunk Ryan Gosling, Scarlett Johansson may be becoming too big for her britches.
Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper reports that Johansson was absent from the premier of her new Woody Allen film at Cannes because the studio refused to meet her ridiculous demands.
She insisted that her $7,800-a-day make-up artist be paid to accompany her. She also refused to stay at the same hotel where Allen and co-star Penelope Cruz were staying, instead saying she required a hotel 30 miles outside of Cannes.
An executive close to the film said that “it wasn’t acceptable that Scarlett would be having to come in from that distance every day, most likely turning up late and it would have thrown schedules into a lot of confusion.”
Allen, normally quite enamoured with Johansson, is said to be annoyed that she’s not being a team player.
Johansson’s rep blamed conflicting schedules for Johansson’s absence.
The film, “Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” which features a kiss between Johansson and Cruz, received a ten-minute standing ovation at the festival.
Canadian heartthrob Ryan Reynolds is off the market again. He and girlfriend of more than a year, Scarlett Johansson, have announced that they are engaged.
Reports of their engagement began circulating in January. But they did not confirm their “recent” engagement until yesterday with People magazine – and it just so happens that Johansson’s debut album was released today.
Of their engagement, Johansson’s rep told People that the lovebirds are “both thrilled.”
Reynolds, 31, will next appear in a film called, “The Proposal” – something that he is now a seasoned verteran at. Reynolds never made it down the aisle when he was engaged to singer Alanis Morissette.

In his latest attempt at becoming a full-fledged star, Ryan Reynolds almost succeeds.
The film, “Definitely, Maybe,” opens today (Valentine’s Day) on the premise it is a romance. And to a certain degree it is.
It is actually a four-part love story as we join Will (Reynolds), who is telling his daughter, Maya (Abigail Breslin), how he met her mother. The catch is his story involves three women, and she will have to guess which one her mother is.
The first woman in Will’s life when we go back to 1992 is his college sweetheart, Emily (Elizabeth Banks). The two decide to do a long distance romance when he moves for a couple months from Wisconsin to New York to work on Bill Clinton’s campaign for president. It is in New York he meets April (Isla Fisher) and Summer (Rachel Weisz). Will floats between the three women as the audience, and Maya, listens intently.
The idea of the film is interesting, and does keep you guessing as to who Maya’s mother really is. Reynolds actually does not too bad in a leading role of a romantic comedy, as opposed to the action and screwball comedies he is known for.
The film has some interesting inside jokes as it goes back to the early ’90s (introducing Will to Nirvana for one). Another cute tough, though hard to know if it was intentional, was the use of “Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow” during a segment when Clinton was running for the Democratic party nomination, as I believe that was the actual song he used.
The film is an unusual romantic comedy, but it still uses the clichéd romantic-comedy bits that all films like it have. Fisher was great – and easily broke away from her character in “Wedding Crashers.” She was so talented that at first glance, one could almost mistake her for the other redhead burning up the movie scene right now – Amy Adams.
Weisz was an interesting choice – a very different step from the films she is usually in. She pulls off the American accent well though (her character also intertwines with a character hilariously played by Kevin Kline, though it is hard to recognize him at first).
All in all, the film has its moments, and does warm your heart. And that may be the sweetest part of this film. Because while you may go in knowing you are supposed to feel certain ways at certain points, instead of resisting it, you allow the film to take you there. And while the thought of Reynolds as a leading man may be a little bit scary, he pulls it off surprisingly well.
It may not be your typical Valentine’s Day film, but it’s still worth seeing; if only for the nostalgia of the early ’90s.

Canadian heartthrob Ryan Reynolds previously called off his engagement to Alanis Morissette. So could he really be ready to take the plunge with his newest flame?
The New York Daily News is reporting that Reynolds has popped the question to Scarlett Johansson. Though Johansson’s rep denied the rumour, the paper’s source indicated that the public could expect an official announcement soon.
Reynolds and Johansson have been dating for just under a year. In comparison, Reynolds and Morissette dated for two years before their engagement, which they called off two years later.
Fittingly, one of Reynolds’ upcoming films is entitled, “The Proposal,” which will co-star Sandra Bullock.
Reynolds is 31 and Johansson is 23.
Scarlett Johansson reportedly gave boyfriend Ryan Reynolds a jaw-dropping birthday gift.
Rumours have been swirling that that Johansson presented Reynolds with her gold-plated wisdom tooth to commemorate the actor’s 31st birthday.
A source reports to E! News that Scarlett had her recently removed wisdom tooth dipped in gold and made into a necklace for the Canadian heartthrob.
The present was allegedly an early birthday gift given to Reynolds at the Chateau Marmont over dinner.
Ryan Reynolds will play an aspiring rock star in Superbad director Greg Mottola’s newest film, Adventureland.
The coming-of-age comedy, also written by Mottola, will star Jesse Eisenberg (The Squid and the Whale) as a recent college graduate in 1987 who has no choice but to work at a local amusement park. The uptight Eisenberg will learn to loosen up with the help of his love interest (Kristen Stewart, In The Land of Women) and Reynolds’ character, who is worshipped by all the kids at the park.
Reynolds is currently dating Hollywood darling Scarlett Johansson. Though the couple has not confirmed their status, they caused a tabloid frenzy last week when they were photographed walking hand in hand at LAX. They were returning from Vancouver, where Johansson was reportedly introduced to Reynolds’ family.
Reynolds was previously engaged to fellow Canadian Alanis Morissette.
