If you thought the original Thrift Shop video by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis was awesome, then prepare to be amazed.
Interpreting the song through MSPaint, YouTuber LiteralMSPaint has recreated his own music video for the song via low-budget stick figures and hilarious references and puns.
I’m trying really hard to say something witty about this video, but nothing comes to mind. The video speaks for itself, so prepare to laugh and be impressed!!
As it is, I’m pretty obsessed with Pentatonix as evidence by this, this and especially this. When you combine the Texas a capella group with another one of my obsessions, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis‘ “Thrift Shop” it’s like “WHAT IS MY LIFE?”

I’m pretty obsessed with their arrangement, which replaces the strong back beat with Kevin Olusola and Avi Kaplan’s sick beatboxing. Meanwhile, Mitch Grassi, Scott Hoying and Kirstie Maldonado rocked the fast-paced vocals.
The group also had a special announcement: They’re going on tour again, starting in late January. Find more about their shows and how to get tickets here.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ new touching video for “Same Love” chronicles the life of a gay man from his birth to his marriage to his death. The seven-minute video was created in support of marriage equality and literally makes me want to bawl (in a good way).
The beautiful video, which was directed by Ryan Lewis, Jon Jon Augustavo and Tricia Davis, encourages love and acceptance over hatred. It’s a strong, goosebump-worthy message that everyone needs to see. It’s especially pertinent in the rap industry, where homophobia is commmon.
The song features singer Mary Lambert and will be on Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ debut album The Heist, out on Oct. 9.
They write on YouTube: “We support civil rights, and hope WA State voters will APPROVE REF 74 and legalize marriage equality.” You can visit Music For Marriage Equality for more information.

I’m a seasoned thrift shopper so I’m relieved to finally have a theme song to go with my monthly hunts. Seattle rappers Macklemore and Ryan Lewis talk about scouting flannel zebra PJs and finding a f*cking awesome outfit for $20 that once belonged to a grandpa, in their new video “Thrift Shop” (ft. Wanz). Score!
In the video, the guys hit up the local secondhand store, shop for novelty items and try on a bunch of dramatic outfits (including tropical shirts and fox fur coats). Their best find? Clearly the dog vest he dons around 1:10. That never goes out of style.
