Sometimes people forget that celebrities have feelings like the rest of us. So much so, that people will even go out of their way to tweet mean things towards them.
Luckily enough, many celebrities are able to take insults with a grain of salt. In fact, they’ll even play along like the good sports they are!
My personal fave here is Ray Romano. Don’t ever insult a comedian, because he/she will DEFINITELY have something smart to say back.
Who knew a little monkey could cause so much ruckus!
After losing his pet, Mally, at the hands of German customs back in March, it seems Justin Bieber still won’t be seeing his 17-month-old capuchin monkey any time soon.
Although his team has gotten in contact with German authorities to resolve the drama and has allegedly shown interest in putting little Mally in a German zoo, customs aren’t letting up. On the bright side, the authorities have stressed in their statement that the monkey will NOT be euthanized (thank goodness!). Justin has until May 17 to show proper papers if he wants to regain ownership of Mally.
Seeing as the issue hasn’t been resolved, I feel this telethon-themed song late night host Jimmy Kimmel put out a few weeks ago with the help of Russell Brand and Gary Allen is fitting for the moment.

“You must never destroy a marriage unless you are really bored.”
It seems like now that Katy Perry is out of the picture, Russel Brand is pretty bored – and after Katherine McPhee.
On a recent trip to talk to Jimmy Fallon, Russell Brand intercepted a conversation between Katherine McPhee and Jimmy Fallon about the Super Bowl. McPhee, within the first 30 seconds on set, created quite an impression on Russel Brand who continued to tell her how attractive she was. There’s just one thing— she’s married. Only Russell Brand can get away with this stuff.
McPhee told a story about how the Jets invited her to a game, but being a 49er’s fan she snuck onto their side. After finding out McPhee’s attachments, Brand implied that she could drop her husband as quickly as she dropped the Jets.
I’d say Brand went too far, but what’s “too far” in his books? He never fails to outdo himself. He has a way of making these things funny more than rude or scandalous. That British accent and charming smile ensures he always gets away with borderline rude comments. Lets hope McPhee’s husband, producer Nick Cokas, never meets Russell Brand.
What do you think — was Brand having harmless fun, or was he rude?

Russell Brand took on two anti-gay members of the Westboro Baptist Church on his talk show BrandX and managed to soldier on through all the nasty comments they had about “Hell-bound heathens.
Convert Steve Drain and founder Fred Phelps’ son Timothy presented Brand right away with a sign that said “Pimp Fag Brand,” before attempting to explain themselves in front of an unforgiving audience. Brand actually handled what seemed like a doomed-to-fail discussion pretty well, in one of the few instances the Internet is patting him on the back and saying “hoorah!”
Brand argued his points eloquently without getting angry — though he did make it personal when he brought out three of his gay friends. Go Russell!

Ever wonder how Russell Brand scored the role of Aldous Snow in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall?” I’ve often pondered this, fretted even, over how such a wild-eyed and sassy comedian could land such a gig. After seeing his audition tape, it’s clear that he deserved it. The Casting Factory released footage of Brand’s audition tape, which shows the actor being instructed on what to do. He is told that he must convince his “girlfriend” to go horseback riding with him. This is followed by majestic (and slightly sensual?) horse calls, and “jokes” about horseback riding being better than sex.
It’s safe to say that Brand landed the role — duh. But did he deserve it? I don’t know anyone else brave enough to make those horse-like mating calls in front of a room of strangers, so the answer is yes.

Nothing beats Ed Sheeran giving the finger and thumbs up to a camera and saying “Lets go get really drunk” followed by Harry saying ”Okay!”
This video was shot after the London Games’ epic Closing Ceremony and features some of the performers, including Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Spice Girls and Russell Brand. It’s one of those fly on the wall videos where you get to see what happened AFTER the performance.
Some key scenes? Niall taking a fanboy-style photo of Liam and Louis, Russell Brand wading into the crowd like a Greek god and the Spice Girls chatting with friends.

I’m usually skeptical when I see parodies of one person acting out several roles but Alex Farnham NAILS IT. In the newest video on his YouTube page DamItsGood808, he impersonates a slew of actors auditioning for The Dark Knight. Included is Russell Brand, Mark Wahlberg and Leonardo DiCaprio. It’s not really a battle here people. Ryan Gosling wins at life.

Katy Perry didn’t listen when her ex-husband Russell Brand asked her to axe any footage of him in her new documentary “Part of Me.”
According to The Sun, Perry and her producers did consider Brand’s request to be eliminated from her movie, but decided to keep it in so the film could flow better.
“When Katy first decided to make the movie in 2010, Russell agreed to be filmed on the condition he got to see the final edit. Being a fly-on-the-wall documentary, he knew full well that it was going to be warts and all — and wasn’t best comfortable with that. But Katy persuaded him to do it,” the source revealed. “Now they have broken up, she can keep whatever she wants in the film.”
Personally, I think it’s a bit rude to not consider Brand’s opinions. Since he was part of her life, what’s personal should be allowed to stay personal. Their lives are public enough!
But of course, only time will tell. Each half of the former couple have spoken highly of one another. Perry recently told Ellen Degeneres that she will show everything in a “tasteful way.” So perhaps, Brand won’t look evil on screen!

Comedian Russell Brand spoke about his personal experience with drug addiction at a Home Affairs Committee meeting in the UK. When asked about the role of celebrities in discouraging drug use, he found use for The Great Word of Tupac Shakur: “role is something people play, model is something people make. Both of those things are fake.”
Brand said the concept of celebrity is toxic and used to distract people from things that are important, instead, he wants to promote truth and authenticity.
Brand was a little more serious than we’re used to during the meeting, stressing the need for “love and compassion” and an abstinence-based approach.

Katy Perry’s new track “Wide Awake” from her new album Teenage Dream has a slower tempo and a more introspective feel than some of the songs we’ve heard in the past. Perhaps this is apt considering her recent breakup with husband Russell Brand.
While still being optimistic, Perry talks about what she’s learned from her mistakes: “Thunder rumbling/ Castles crumbling/ I am trying to hold on/ God knows that I tried/ Seeing the bright side/ But I’m not blind anymore/ I’m wide awake.”
Although the song was written with Bonnie McKee before her breakup the lyrics are still relevant to her life. The song is about dealing with the emotions that go along with a split and finding a newfound sense of empowerment.
The full album Teenage Dream will be out on March 27 and tonight we’ll see Perry’s music video premiere for “Part of Me.”

We’re all used to reading about nasty, pricey divorces in Hollywood. Russell Brand and Katy Perry are keeping things clean this time around.
TMZ reports because the two didn’t sign a pre-nup when they wed in 2010, Russell’s entitled to at least $20 million of the California girl’s money.
So, the provocative comedian could have score a fortune if he exercises his community property rights. But alas, he’s taking the higher road and leaving Katy and her millions alone.
“This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch,” his lawyer says. (That’s Yiddish for a good person.)

Russell Brand’s first public appearance since filing for divorce from Katy Petty last month was at the Television Critics Association panel this weekend in California.
While he was there to promote his upcoming late night talk show, “Strangely Uplifting” on FX, many reporters didn’t ignore the elephant in the room.
The bashful Brit responded to reporters, saying “”I’m quite well, thank you. Are you asking because of recent events?” When he was asked if he was happy now, he said “Yes, I am.”
At the panel, Russell told the crowd his main objective with his new show is to make people more happy than they are now.

Last night, Jimmy Fallon reprised his spot-on impersonation of Russell Brand as he read the latest US Weekly magazine with a headline: “Katy Perry: Married To A Mad Man!”
Fallon has tested these waters before, remember that impersonation-spree when he hosted SNL in December?
“I’m actor, comedian, and noted lothario Russell Brand, and here in my possession is the newest of the newest Us Weekly!” says Fallon, impersonating the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star. “And what do I see on the cover? But it’s me! A picture of me and Katy Perry. And what does it say? Married to a crazy man! Really? I’m a crazy man?”
A new leaked track by Katy Perry has hit the Internet, and Perry sings about falling for the wrong guy.
Katy co-wrote the song, and the track is a demo version of Jessie James track “Bullett.”
Some of the lyrics include, “My mama warned me about boys like you/ It’s the reason I wear these high-heeled boots/ And let me give you a little piece of advice/ My papa packs heat and he won’t think twice.”
On the sing-along refrain, Perry belts out, “I’m a bullet and I’m headed/ Straight for your heart/ Be careful what you start/ I’m a bullet and I’m headed/ Straight for your heart/ It’s gonna leave a mark.”
Although the song is a couple of years old, it has been coincidentally leaked right after Perry and Brand announced their separation.
Coincidence?
Russell Brand and Katy Perry are getting divorced. Brand filed for divorce in Los Angeles, citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to TMZ.
As we reported earlier today, rumors have been swirling about the state of their marriage. However, sources were saying that although the couple were having problems, they were trying to work things out.
“Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends,” the 36-year-old Brit comedian told the Associated Press.
Rumors of their relationship troubles surfaced during the holidays when the couple were seen without their wedding rings.
Brand, who is starring in the upcoming Rock of Ages and Diablo Cody’s directorial debut and 27-year-old Perry wed October 2011 in India.
Russell Brand and Katy Perry are denying that divorce is in their future, however sources close to the couple confirm they are having some marriage problems.
TMZ reports a source says there was no big blowout argument, which was reported earlier.
One of our sources says it’s clear Katy and Russell are “dealing with something,” but divorce is not in the cards.
There are some new signs that Russell Brand and Katy Perry could be having some marriage problems. Rumors have been circulating for a while that the couple were separating.
Russell Brand was spotted in London not wearing his wedding ring. At the same time, Katy Perry has been spotted having a good time in Hawaii. Additionally, the couple didn’t even spend the holidays together.
To us, that’s pretty solid evidence that the two are having some serious problems, and things might be over. What do you think?

The snarky but equally funny British comedian, Russel Brand, a.k.a. Mr. Katy Perry, is set to host his own late night show on FX.
Gossip Cop writes Russell inked a 6-episode deal with the channel to launch his late night show in the spring.
The untitled show will feature Russell’s take on pop culture, politics and current affairs. The always opinionated funnyman expresses his excitement in a statement, saying, “I am so excited I’m on the point of climax, in fact I will put the ‘O’ into FX, which spells Fox, which is actually the channel’s real name.”
It will be really refreshing to hear Russell’s take on things as he’s essentially the newest face on late night television. He’s always known for speaking his mind and I’d love to finally listen to his thoughts on celebrity gossip, instead of just reading his tweets.
As Jimmy Fallon relies on The Roots as a backing band, could Russell hire on his wife Katy to be his musical sidekick? These two don’t often appear on t.v. togetehr, so if this happens, it’s definitely a sight worth seeing.
After going a month being covered head to toe in pink, Katy Perry’s taking on a different shade.
The “Teenage Dreams” singer traded in her ’50s pink ‘do for a blonde bob with lavender highlights. With this new hairstyle, Katy’s resembling a young Jenny McCarthy.
She not only showed off her new look but her still-husband Russell Brand. Many websites have been reporting of their quiet divorce but the star’s slamming those allegations. From the looks of these photos taken at the David Lynch Foundations’s Change Begins Within event over the weekend, the two couldn’t be happier.
Before she got all dollwed up for the Grammy nominations concert last night, the lady in pink took to Twitter to complain about all those divorce rumours.
Contrary to what most blogs and magazines say, Katy is not going to be divorcing from her husband of one year, Russell Brand.
As you can see from her tweet, Katy is NOT pregnant and NOT seperating from her comedian hubby. Given that they just got married last October, they shouldn’t be splitting so soon (unless you’re Kim Kardashian). While it feels like tis the season to be divorcing, I hope Katy and Russell stay together forever (fa la la la la la).
