In the most “Japan” move ever, the girl from the horror movie The Ring was invited to throw the first pitch at a Nippon Ham Fighters ballgame. I’m not sure how Sadako, the longhaired, pale character from Ringu (The Ring), made her way to the field considering she can’t see anything past her tangled black hair, but she had good form when she threw the ball.

Unfortunately the pitch was too much for her and she falls limp to the floor, before being helped up by a guide. Although the entire thing was a promotion for the film “Sadako 3D, which comes out on May 12, it just proves that Japan is awesome.

The movie takes place 13 years after the original “Ring.” Akan is a high school teacher who hears a rumour that there is actual footage on the Internet of someone’s suicide — and if anyone watches it, it will drive them to commit suicide too.
