Big buzz hit the internet earlier this week when Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and screen star boyfriend Jason Statham stepped out with an extra little accessory – a HUGE rock on Whiteley’s ring finger!

Many speculated that the older action hero finally popped the question, but Whitely took time to dispel the rumors, stating “no, that’s not an engagement ring.”

Well then why would you wear it on your RING finger?! Silly girl!

Though Statham is getting on in years, Whiteley is only 23, so there’s no harm in the couple waiting a bit before getting hitched.

False alarm! We guess everyone loves a little attention every once in a while!

The original Playboy Hugh Hefner is taking yet another trip down the aisle with one of his beautiful playmates.

Radar Online is reporting that the Hef popped the question to Crystal Harris, a 24-year-old and Playboy’s Miss January, on Christmas. The magazine tycoon took to his Twitter account to announce the happy news.

“When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. This is the happiest Christmas weekend in memory,” Hefner microblogged.

The 84-year-old did not mention a set date or location for the ceremony, but we imagine Crystal is already eagerly planning away. After all, why delay a wedding to an octogenarian gazillionaire with dozens of girlfriends who look exactly like you?

Did Milo Give Hayden a Ring?

Amidst stern denials of romance, Milo Ventimiglia has reportedly bought “Heroes” co-star Hayden Panettiere an 18 karat gold ring.

According to “In Touch,” the Tiffany & Co. ring is worth $1,950 and Ventimiglia had it inscribed with the words “Sweet like Hayden.”

The belated birthday gift from 30-year-old Ventimiglia to 18-year-old Panettiere may very well be a platonic gift between friends, but it’s not going to help them avoid those pesky rumours.

Based on the well constructed previews and “talk” surrounding this long-awaited film I highly anticipated seeing a sequel worth seeing to a film that was a big fan of in, “The Ring”. However much to my dismay “The Ring 2″ did not live up to the hype, nor did it reign supreme to its predecessor. Throughout it seemed to lack what made the original so frightfully intense and uniquely scary. Without giving away too much information, and to answer a question that I have heard many inquire, I will say that one could very easily see this film without seeing the first so no worries. I would recommend seeing the original mainly for the simple fact of having a basis of history of the story and characters.

With that said, “The Ring 2″ follows young reporter Rachel (played again by Naomi Watts) and her son Aidan (David Dorfman) as they move from the big city to suburbia in hopes of escaping their recently plagued past. 6 months after the incidents involving a mysterious tape that kills you in 7 days; it appears as though they would never be haunted by Samara again. Nothing could be further from the truth as one night a homicide is reported with similar makings of a death all too familiar to Rachel. The tape as it seems has resurfaced, and now it is up to Rachel and Aidan to destroy it before Samara destroys them.

There are many unanswered questions when the film is all said and done. Hideo Nakata (Ringu, Ringu 2) did an exceptional job creating an eerie and unsettling atmosphere but that?s where the scares ended. ?Ring 2? lacked what made the first film so great: the audience did not know what to expect. This story was unfortunately predictable and dull with absolutely no connections to the original. It was almost a new plot with the same characters meaning that it could not be considered a proper sequel, thus similar to the format of say?the Indiana Jones Trilogy, where each film followed new guidelines. I found myself pondering throughout various flaws in plot structure, as many situations were left without closure or reason. On a positive note, the acting was well done considering the genre, and we got to see a more diverse Aidan and much more Samara. Sissy Spacek was a scene stealer in her brief cameo and Naomi Watts proved she could carry another film and was again not hard on the eyes.

Tim?s Take: The main problem I had going into this film was that I went in with high expectations; therefore my disappointment factor was high. If you are easily scared, then this film will meet your needs. If you are looking to find new scares bigger than the first film, you are in for a night of frustration.
