“Nobody’s Business” – Rihanna & Chris Brown
Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for (or hoping would never happen)…the reunion of Rihanna and Chris Brown! RiRi and Brown’s new duet is definitely going to cause a stir as they sing about their undying love for each other and the fact that their relationship is nobody’s business but their own. The track samples Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel,” and as much as I hate the thought of Rihanna reuniting with Brown, the track is pretty darn catchy. Listen for yourself. Rihanna’s new album Unapologetic is out now.
“Wild” – Beach House
Baltimore indie duo Beach House have a new video out, and *warning* this one’s a downer. So if you’re feeling unusually sad today, I would suggest holding off on watching the new video for “Wild,” off their latest album Bloom. The video features dark imagery with a young man indulging in all sorts of drugs and such, essentially losing control of his life in one big mess. It goes perfectly with the swelling vocals and gloomy guitars that Beach House is known for and could be the perfect track to study to.
“The Prodigy” – Smack My Bitch Up (Major Lazer remix)
Electronic group The Prodigy released “Smack My Bitch Up” 16 years ago, but I will admit it’s still a relevant song in my iTunes library. So imagine my excitement when I learned Major Lazer remixed the high-energy track. The song is already heavily laden with synth and hard beats, but Major Lazer added some more buzzing synthesizers, and sped up the bridge to keep the whole track’s tempo up. Next month, The Prodigy will reissue their best selling album “The Fat of the Land,” with a bonus remixes EP, which will feature Major Lazer’s track.

Last year, Rihanna graced the Ellen DeGeneres Show with her presence to talk about boys and her um… “her.” In the hilarious interview, Rihanna explains that her “her” just wasn’t getting any, even though she was granted the title Sexiest Woman Alive. The singer came back to The Ellen Show with an update on her situation. “She” is doing just fine.
In the interview, Ellen leans in to Rihanna and screams the words “good for you! I’m so happy for you.” I’m happy too, because now she can visit the Ellen Show more frequently for updates on her life. Just kidding, but these Rihanna interviews are always promising.
Besides discussing Rihanna’s “her,” Ellen quizzed the singer on who she would rather date. In a choice between George Clooney and Brad Pitt, Rihanna contemplated furiously. Finally she concluded, “you think about it and then you look at Brad Pitt and it’s like ‘damn.’” Sucks to be George Clooney.

Who would you rather?
Rihanna’s new video “Diamonds” is more about raw emotion and visuals rather than a tangible plot. The singer is stripped of a fanciful wardrobe and dramatic makeup so we can focus on the power of the scenes unfolding around her. She rolls and smokes a cigarette filled with diamonds before the walls literally start falling around her.
The Anthony Mandler-directed video transitions between colour and black and white scenes of her floating in water, desperately running away from something (though we don’t know what), hanging out with a black stallion and witnessing violent scenes of war. It’s clearly stacked with symbolism, though it doesn’t bother me as much as it bothers other commenters.
Rihanna told MTV the visuals were very important to the story. “With ‘Diamonds,’ it was just a series of vignettes that we put together to help get the emotion across throughout the song ’cause the song changes and it builds, and there’s no real way that you could do that,” she explained. “You just want people to feel that and I wanted little cutaways of interactions that would give you the right emotion.”
“Diamonds” will be on her forthcoming album Unapologetic, out Nov. 19. And don’t forget to enter our Rihanna contest, ending Nov. 14.

Three words: short, blonde and shaved. These were the hair trends this year rocking the celeb world. It’s kind of hard to tell who inspired who this year with all these similar and daring hair cuts. However, what I love about these celebrity do’s is that they can sometimes have meaning and inspiration behind them.
Here are 10 awesome celebrity hair makeovers:
1. Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is known for her outrageous makeovers, but this one has quite a bit of meaning behind it. The singer shaved a portion of her head in memory of Terry Richardson’s mom, Annie Lomax. Gaga tweeted a photo of her new hair with a special message to her friend.
2. CeCe Frey
CeCe Frey shocked “X-Factor” viewers when she debuted her new platinum blonde look. CeCe isn’t new to daring looks as she often paints leopard print spots on her face. Fierce!
3. Anne Hathaway
Bless Anne Hathaway’s soul. I fell in love with Anne Hathaway this summer because she was a total babe in The Dark Knight Rises. When I saw her with her pixie cut, courtesy of her role in the upcoming film Les Miserables, my heart was sent into flutters. She really can rock anything.
4. Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus sent the twitterverse into a buzz of love-hate feuding with her new do. Despite what anyone says, I think it’s awesome that Miley’s new haircut was able to give her a lot of confidence.
5. Marina and the Diamonds
Marina and the Diamonds completely transformed her entire wardrobe for her new album, Electra Heart. In her video for “Fear and Loathing,” Marina is seen chopping off her thick, black hair and opting for a cute bob. The move was daring, but her transformation totally goes with the theme of her album.

Here in the office, we got tired of Chris Brown’s shenanigans looong ago. Not only because he’s just a complete dunscap, but because he’s basically trolling the world at this point. After his many questionable decisions — getting a tattoo of a beaten woman on his neck, loving two women at the same time and feuding with his ex, Rihanna — I’m starting to think he’s just doing all this sh*t to get attention.
His latest stunt? This Halloween he dressed up as a member of the Taliban. He posed for a photo with his friends and tweeted: “Ain’t nobody Fucking wit my clique!!!!”, a reference to Kanye West and Jay-Z’s song “Clique.” Yikes! He was dressed up to go to Rihanna’s party in West Hollywood.
What do you think? Does Chris Brown just need to go away?
Watch it here:

After reflecting on his 2009 domestic abuse case with Rihanna on the MTV series This is How I Made It, Chris Brown has said that he understands why some members of the public dislike him even though he’s made peace with the singer.
“I can’t hate people for making judgment on me, or making a decision of liking me or not liking me,” Brown said. “All I can do is try to better as a person. And I’m good with knowing everything isn’t always going to be perfect.”
He then went on to say that he feels content to have made great steps in redeeming his image over the past year. How? By winning a Grammy of course.
“For me to have that achievement [of winning a Grammy Award], and to go through people’s whole opinions changing of me, to get personal opinion back and having to gain personal success back – it’s not all the way back, you know – but it’s been one of my most humbling experiences.”
Well, isn’t that considerate of you to not blame the general public? Just in case you didn’t know, you still act like a massive JERK (REMEMBER THIS?).
LIKE COME ON. You may claim to be known for “situations and life obstacles” but a Grammy really doesn’t redeem yourself as a person. You can win all the awards, but saying all of this means nothing until you start owning up to your mistakes.
A lot of kids have dreams of being musicians but unfortunately they just don’t have the talent. Their parents either let them down gently or nod along with a crooked smile on their face to humour them.
These kids on the other hand have pure talent. The two young Irish boys did an acoustic version of Rihanna’s “We Found Love” and it was all captured on a cell phone camera. While one plays the guitar and does a rap verse in the middle, the other shows off his pipes.
For some reason the YouTube comments have taken an inexplicable turn for the worse — commenting on Irish descendants of all things (Are they REALLY Irish?). Let’s focus on what’s important here people: these two kids are mega talented, and we hope to hear more from them.

The Wanted
Soo many good tweets from The Wanted as they were on set yesterday filming their brand new video for “I Found You,” and torturing us with behind the scenes pics of them looking smoking HAWT. Check out Nathan above and Max with a dog named Boris below (Boris seems to be an integral part of the video). The guys look pretty bundled up and dapper in this video, though we’re wondering why Tom has a gash on his cheek in one of the photos. That guy is certainly the trouble maker in the group. And I like it. (Check for more photos after the jump.)
Justin Bieber

The main reason I follow Justin Bieber on Twitter is so I can get MIND BLOWING tweets like the one above. The second reason I follow him is so I can gawk at awesome half-naked photos and talk about them with my friends over coffee like: “OMG did you see that Instagram photo of JB?” The THIRD reason I follow him is for funny videos of adults trying to understand Bieber like this:
Rihanna
Selena Gomez
Who: It took 20 minutes for Selena Gomez to get this tattoo of the Roman numerals LXXVI (number 76) by New York’s Bang Bang.
Meaning: The tattoo is in tribute to a family member who means a lot to her.
Demi Lovato

Who: Demi Lovato has over 10 tattoos, depending on how you count them. She got these tattoos that read “Let go & let god” across her feet.
Meaning: According to US Magazine Demi Lovato has admitted she regrets getting a few tattoos from her younger years. A lot of Demi’s more recent tattoos are spiritual, including the tatts on her feet and the word “faith” on her left arm, below her elbow.
Harry Styles

Who: One Direction’s Harry Styles has a helluva lot of new tattoos.
Meaning: There are just too many to go through in this one area. Among the singer’s tattoos are his sister Gemma’s name in Hebrew, a large black star, an iced gem and the words “Won’t stop ’till we surrender.” His newer tatts include masks representing comedy and drama, along with the initials “SMCL.”
Rihanna

Who: Rihanna got this tatt of the Egyptian goddess Isis in London’s SOHO neighbourhood just before her 2012 Paralympics Closing Ceremony performance with Coldplay.
Meaning: Isis was the ”ideal mother and wife as well as the patron of nature and magic.” She wrote on Twitter that the tattoo is dedicated to her late grandmother: ”Goddess Isis- Complete Woman – Model for future generations- #GRANGRANDOLLY – always in and on my heart #1love.”

With rumours swirling around that Rihanna and Chris Brown have rekindled their romance, Oprah, who once insisted on her talk show, “He will hit you again,” has now spoken out.
“I think that if (Rihanna) is prepared to deal with that and is prepared to help him (Chris) help himself then so be it,” she told Extra.
“I have no judgment about it. That’s why I can sit there and have such a great time with her because I do all my interviews with no judgment whatsoever. If that’s how you choose to lead your life, that’s really okay.”
Although Oprah is not sure if the rumours about the reunion is true, it was Rihanna who told the talkshow host earlier this year that she was still in love with Brown.
“You know what I loved about that interview is that she came with a big wide open heart,” Oprah continued. “She was in the space of forgiveness. And that she learned a lesson that she was repeating with Chris Brown — exactly what she needed to learn from her father.”
After hearing Oprah say this, I have a lot of respect for her. Understanding that it is a woman’s right to date whoever she wants, Oprah really does mind her own business and remains supportive no matter what.
I feel we should do the same. While we might not be fans of Brown after he hurt Rihanna, it isn’t up to us to decide what she can and can’t do.
If RiRi’s happy to see him at peace, then it’s only up to us to hope she’s aware of what she’s getting into.
I’m pretty tired of all the Chris Brown bashing, not because I support him (obviously what he did was completely wrong) but because there’s very little worthwhile discussion that’s coming out of the whole thing anymore. Instead of focusing on the core issues (abuse) people are now just hating on him as an excuse to be mean. The guy clearly has deep seeded issues.
Anyway, I still need to post this Vimeo video called “The Real Chris Brown,” in which he talks about being in love with two people. Brown recently broke up with Karrueche Tran and was spotted canoodling with his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna.
Sadly, dude just doesn’t know when to shut his mouth and even worse, he did it this time when he was drunk. He says in the video:
When you share history with somebody and then you fall in love with somebody else it’s kind of difficult. … I don’t wanna hurt either or. I’m not trying [to] be a player… I just care. Too much sometimes.
If Brown wants to bounce back I think he needs to sit down with Oprah (sober) and have an honest conversation rather than talk gibberish in artsy videos.

In the world of celebrity news, there’s no shortage of hits and misses. This week, Taylor Swift donates money for a school for the deaf after a nasty joke, and Rihanna and Chris Brown are rumoured to have made out at a New York night club.
Hit: Taylor Swift donates money and concert tickets to a school for the deaf after 4Chan joke
The international shit disturbers on Reddit and 4chan thought it would be funny to troll a Facebook contest where Taylor Swift would perform for the school with the most likes. The trolls mean spiritedly decided to cast their votes for Boston’s Horace Mann School for the Deaf. Unfortunately for the school, they were disqualified because of the corrupt votes. It’s always mean spirited when the hopes of innocent kids are involved but thankfully, TSwift naturally rose to the occasion. She donated $10,000 to the school and free tickets to her next local show because of the joke. A number of companies have matched her donation resulting in a total donation amount of $50,000 for the school. Who’s the better WOMAN, now, trolls?
MISS: Chris Brown and Rihanna apparently caught making out

Rumours are swirling that Chris Brown and Rihanna were caught making out while partying in a New York club. It’s an obvious fail considering dirtbag Brown is involved. We all know that Rihanna could do so much better. Maybe Jay-Z can set her up with a nice, smart man to make her happy.
HIT: Anne Hathaway gets married

Princess Mi-, I mean actor Anne Hathaway had her own fairy tale wedding this past weekend. She looked amazing in a dreamy custom Valentino wedding dress with her short hair (courtesy of Les Mis filming) adorned with a beautiful hairpiece. Even in blurry paparazzi shots, the ceremony itself looked romantic as the setting sun bathed the beautiful couple in warm lighting as they exchanged vows along the California coast. Congratulations Hathaway, for topping Blake Lively’s plantation wedding!

“Yet Again” — Grizzly Bear
Sometimes a band comes out with a music video so hauntingly beautiful you just can’t help but stare in amazement, engrossed in its drama. New York psychedelic rock band Grizzly Bear’s “Yet Again,” off their latest album Shields, is a mesmerizing piece of art. The video starts off with a beautiful figure skater who falls into a dark abyss and swims underwater only to find herself walking through a carnival, figure skates on and everything. The song is just as haunting as the video, with dark guitars and somber, dramatic vocals. If you’re into experimental rock music, Grizzly Bear will definitely impress you.
“The City” — Madeon
If only all the wars in the world were like the one in Madeon’s video for “The City,” our problems would all be solved! French electronic artist Madeon’s latest video pits armies of youth against each other… but just when things look like they’re getting serious it turns out their guns are filled with powder paint! A giant, epic colour war ensues. The dance track is definitely a catchy one, with vocals by Zak Waters. It’s a great mix of pop, indie, and dance, but now everytime I listen to it I can’t help but wish my hometown held paint battles too!

Apparently Rihanna had the late night munchies yesterday, tweeting about her profound craving for greasy food to her 26 million followers. This was a very important post in the world of Twitter and revealed a few tidbits about RiRi’s diet: Despite earning buttloads of cash each year she’ll settle for a Cup Noodles if she has too. And that’s why we love her.
Also, Rihanna is so damn powerful she has the ability to influence the world on a deep level. Her tweet inspired legions of followers to write prolific tweets about TGI Friday’s and it quickly became a trending topic on Twitter.

Rihanna’s new track “Diamonds” is a lot more slow burning than the club bangers we’re used to, but it gives her beautiful voice a time to shine. The single was produced by Stargate, who also did “Don’t Stop the Music,” “Rude Boy” and “Only Girl (In the World).”
Rihanna sings about a special boy in the chorus: ”So shine bright tonight, you and I/ We’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky/ Eye to eye, so alive/ We’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky.”
Rihanna told MTV this track sounds a lot more laid back and hopeful, which makes sense considering she describes her new album as a “happy and hippy record.” The single will be on her upcoming album, which will reportedly drop in November and MIGHT be called 7 Wonders (loves it).

Uh oh! If you ever screw over Green Day’s set time, then you’ll be messing with a very angry Billie Joe Armstrong.
Scheduled to play a 45 minute show at the iHeartRadio festival, their set was cut to 30 minutes to make more room for Rihanna and Usher (who went 25 minutes longer than he was meant to).
Clearly annoyed at the one minute warning on the clock, Armstrong stopped mid-song while playing “Basket Case” to give an angry rant.
“F— this sh–. Gimme a f—ing break. One minute left. One minute f—ing left. You’re going to give me one minute.”
Justin Bieber, who wasn’t even at the show, also got caught in the wrath of Armstrong. “I’m not f—ing Justin Bieber, you mother—-ers. You’ve got to be f—ing joking. I got one minute. One minute left. Now I got nothing left.”
And as he threw his microphone down, the lead singer started to trash his expensive looking guitar and stuck the middle finger out to the crowd.
Yikes! I can see how Armstrong may have overreacted. But to be fair, it wasn’t very considerate for the other artists to take over another musician’s set time.
WARNING: This video is not safe for work.
Rihanna probably needed to let off some steam the other day because as she headed to a shooting range to practice her shot.
Currently in Las Vegas for the iHeartRadio music festival, the singer forgone luxury shopping and gambling at casinos to instead add to her bad girl image by shooting a gun.
“Bad gals do it well! We got our guns in the muthaf*ckin air,” she tweeted.
Along with the tweet, Rihanna also included a photo. In the image, she is seen standing at the forefront wearing a cut off T-shirt and showing off her new short hair style. In the background, three women stand with her serving as her posse.
But considering the next picture she tweeted, something tells me that this isn’t the first time Rihanna has held a gun. As she is seen holding up the aftermath of her stationary target practice, the majority of the bullet holes were in or around the red circle of dummy.
Rihanna must be pretty damn good with a gun. I don’t think I want to ever mess with her!
