“One Night” – Timeflies
Consisting of one part smooth vocals by Cal, one part wild electro/dubstep producer Rez and all parts tonally sexy men, Timeflies have all the makings for a successful duo. The video for their latest single “One Night” is either going to make you fall in love with them or get super jealous of the endless streams of girls that seem to be constantly surrounding them. For me, it was both. Cal’s silky vocals combined with Rez’s EDM beats complement each other perfectly and is a refreshing take on the manufactured dance music that seems to be monopolizing the charts lately. If you want to hear more from Timeflies, every Tuesday they release a “Timeflies Tuesday” video on You Tube to keep their fans up to date. Their EP One Night is out now.
“Sorry” – T.I. ft. Andre 3000
T.I. and former OutKast member Andre 3000 finally released their highly anticipated collaboration “Sorry.” AND it’s produced by the one and only Jazze Pha, so you know it’s going to be good. A melodic piano anchors the track while T.I. and Andre spit their perfected rhymes. While T.I. uses the track as the ultimate “sorry not sorry,” going on about how successful he is, Andre goes a little deeper, rapping about his regrets and what is actually is sorry for. Ahh… I see what you did there boys…Check out the track and pick up T.I.’s eighth album Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head, out Dec. 18.
Diplo is one of the most interesting men in the world. Whether you’re looking at his production credits, past collaborations or just following him on twitter, you never know what you’re going to get. Especially when you speak to him in person, the conversation gets progressively weirder but it’s still somehow enlightening. In this interview, he tells us how he partied with Kim Kardashian, Hulk Hogan, the hamburglar and shared a plane with Rick Ross all within a span of 24 hours.
Rapper Eric D’Alessandro created a new track dedicated to untalented, mainstream rap artists who sacrifice purposeful, thoughtful lyrics for all the “extras” that go along with the business. Now we have “wack ass gangstas” faking it and getting rich by promoting a flashy lifestyle. According to D’Alessandro their fans listen to their music so they can live vicariously through them — plus, that’s what the cool kids do.
He calls out a few rappers specifically: “…since 2 Chainz/ You don’t gotta say shit just yell out “Tru!!”/ Or you could be like Rick Ross/ Say just “ugh!” and that you’re the boss.”
D’Alessandro’s rap is pretty witty, though he doesn’t acknowledge that bad music isn’t exclusive to today’s generation — there have always been bad music acts in every genre. Also, there are tons of rap artists who put a lot of thought into their work, even if you have to look underground.
All in all, he makes a valid point. He also proves that while not every rapper puts thought into their music, he certainly does.

Nicki Minaj’s new music video for “I Am Your Leader” is standard fare for Barbz. There are less hair colours than we’re used to seeing (only her natural hue and a bright green wig) but the colourful set makes up for any tress shortcomings. Minaj professes she’s our leader and if we’re not into it we can “suck a big d*ck.
Rick Ross and Cam’Ron make an appearance in the video, rapping in a trippy candy pink room. Later Minaj suds it up in a bubble bath wearing glittery sky high boots. The track is from her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.

Kim Kardashian’s cameo in DJ Khaled, Rick Ross and Kanye West’s hybrid music video for ”I Wish You Would/Cold” is pretty brief, nevertheless it must sting Kris Humphries. Kardashian appears when Kanye raps: “And I’ll admit I had fell in love with Kim/ Around the same time she had fell in love with him.” Of course, the “him” Kanye is referring to is Kim’s ex-husband Kris Humphries.
The black and white, grainy music video was directed by Hype Williams, who has directed videos for Coldplay, Kesha, Nicki Minaj and Jay-Z. I wouldn’t say this particular video is his most conceptual considering it essentially consists of the three guys rapping in a long underground tunnel. If the shaky camera work makes you too queasy, skip ahead to 5:10 to get a glimpse of Kimye.

“Touch’n You” — Rick Ross ft. Usher
Rick Ross shows off his softer side with Usher by his side in the music video for “Touch’n You,” the first single off the upcoming album God Forgives I Don’t. It’s a little weird seeing Rozay doing something other than rapping about guns and drugs, but he wines and dines his lady convincingly enough, playing chess and lounging by the pool together. Meanwhile, Usher whispers and croons sweet nothings causing women everywhere to get weak in the knees. God Forgives I Don’t drops on July 31.
“Good Girls (Don’t Grow on Trees)” — Cris Cab ft. Big Sean
Nineteen-year-old Cris Cab is probably the world’s happiest up and coming artist right now. Not only did Pharell co-write his first single “Good Girls (Don’t Grow on Trees)” and Big Sean lend his talent to the single, but Wyclef Jean also produced this great reggae-inspired track. That’s three hip-hop powerhouses putting faith in a kid from Miami whose claim to fame is quirky covers of hip hop songs and the result is wonderful. Cab sings about treating his woman right, since good girls are special and hard to find. It’s nice to see a young man brought up so well…I wonder if he’s single…

Usher’s “Lemme See” is more laid back than the club banger he dropped last week called “Scream.” The track is the third single from his upcoming seventh album, Looking For Myself and of course it has that Usher feel: ”She say she wanna take her skirt off/Be my guest/I decided to take my shirt off/Show my chest,” he sings.
Usher told MTV that the new album will be just in time for summer and that we can expect many different views and perspectives.

“Take It To The Head” is a star-riddled song by DJ Khaled featuring Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown, and apparently they all want to get drunk and take alcohol “to the head.”
“Now we gonna get fucked up/ No excuses, no apologies,” Chris eloquently sings. It seems like DJ Khaled likes dropping these all-star songs that feature an array of performers, though we all know they’re the star acts. He must have one big rolodex.
This is the first single off DJ Khaled’s new album That Will Be Called Kiss the Ring. The track was produced by The Runners (who did Rick Ross’ “Hustlin” and Jeezy’s “Go Getta”).

When Wiz Khalifa tweeted the link to his new mixtape “Taylor Allderdice”around 9 pm on Tuesday and it was so popular that it crashed the website, DatPiff.
Luckily, the tape is back up and running now. It’s in advance of his new studio album O.N.I.F.C, which will be released later this year.
The songs are more in line with the Wiz Khalifa who released “Rolling Papers.” Take the weed-inspired lyrics of Never Been Part II: ”I’m just smoking, living life like in the movies / That I watch in my jacuzzi / Roll another doobie / See what’s newest on Netflix, order another movie.” That same song features Rick Ross and his new fiance Amber Rose.
Also, I love the piano backing Mia Wallace. What’s your fave?

Rick Ross is accused of being involved in a murder – a murder of a Yorkshire Terrier. According to TMZ, Ross’ 3 pitbulls are the responsible for the death, but ultimately Rick is the real one responsible.
The Yorkshire Terrier was named Banks, and according to reports, Ross’ pit bulls escaped from his Atlanta mansion, and attacked the small dog.
The dog suffered ”3 large bite wounds on his back ” along with a “very large bite wound” around his neck. Banks was euthanized immediately after.
Ross was cited for the incident, but Banks’ owner is also suing for $15,000 in damages and court costs.
Rick – sorry buddy but you are on the hook for this one.

Last night, Diddy rounded up hiphop artists Rick Ross, Fabolous, Red Café and Busta Rhymes to throw a memorial party for the iconic rap star, reports MTV.
