Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong Booted from Southwest for Sagging Pants

Southwest Airlines has major egg on their face after booting Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day off one of their planes for “sagging” pants.

On Thursday Billie was traveling from Oakland to Burbank. While waiting to put a bag in the overhead compartment, a stewartess asked him to pull up his sagging pants.

“Don’t you have better things to do than worry about that?” Armstrong said. The flight attendant then repeated the request, according to an ABC affiliate producer who was on the flight.

Armstrong replied, “I’m just trying to get to my f—ing seat.”

Armstrong tweeted, “Just got kicked off a southwest flight because my pants sagged too low! What the f—? No joke!”

Southwest later released a fuller statement:

“As soon as we became aware of what had happened, we reached out to apologize for this Customer’s experience. He elected to take the next flight. We followed up with this Customer and involved Employees to get more details and, in our latest conversations, understand from the Customer the situation was resolved to his satisfaction.”

Mischa Barton Removed From Home Due To ‘Medical Issue’

Mischa Barton, former star of the TV show “The O.C.” was removed from her L.A. home by the Los Angeles Police Department on Wednesday.

LAPD spokesperson Richard French told MTV News on Thursday (July 16): “It was apparently yesterday a little after 3 in the afternoon, and one of the patrol units in West L.A. division responded to her home for a medical issue.”

Craig Schneider, the actresses rep told People in a statement, “Police were involved due to Ms. Barton’s celebrity status, to safely transfer her to medical treatment as per doctor’s orders,” Schneider said, adding that the actress is now “OK and resting.”

These “medical issues” are preventing Barton from attending the premiere for her latest film, “Homecoming.” Producer Austin Stark said to People, “There were some medical problems. She’s not able to travel, as far as I know.”

“Homecoming” director Morgan J. Freeman also responded to the news that the 23-year-old actress won’t be attending the movie’s premiere, through a statement issued to Access Hollywood. “I along with everyone on the ‘Homecoming’ team are saddened to hear that Mischa Barton will not be able to attend the film’s premiere tonight in New York,” he said. “Her performance in ‘Homecoming’ is fantastic, and she will be missed at our premiere.”

Chris Brown and Rihanna Don’t Want Protection Order

NY Daily News reports Chris Brown and Rihanna would both like to get rid of a court order dictating the former flames are to remain 50 yards away from each other at all times.The no-contact clause is part of a protection order that was handed down Tuesday after Brown pleaded guilty in a criminal proceeding to one count of felony assault. Brown’s assault charge stemmed from an altercation before the Grammy Awards in February that left Rihanna battered and bruised.

“They think it’s unnecessary and ridiculous,” said a mutual friend of the former couple about the no-contact clause. “After, Ri and Chris talked on the phone for almost an hour and really worked at becoming friends. They’re solid now.”

The order does, however, grant Brown some leeway at music-industry events such as Sunday’s BET Awards, which both stars are scheduled to attend. At such events, they will be required to stay ten yards apart.

While Rihanna is reportedly interested in rekindling a friendship with her ex-beau, the source is clear that there is no potential for resurrecting the romance between the two. “That’s 100 percent done,” the friend insisted. “They aren’t looking to hook back up again. They’re both moving on and going their separate ways.”

Brown is currently focusing on repairing his image and propelling his career, working on a comeback album set to feature duets with Mary J. Blige and Keri Hilson.

CoverGirl will be releasing a three-month-old ad campaign featuring Rihanna as its spokesperson.

The Barbadian songstress has been spotted at the “Year One” premiere, and out with Aubrey (Drake) Graham, LeBron James and Kanye West.
