Producers of Jersey Shore Unveil New Show: Mama Drama

SallyAnn Salsano, the mastermind behind the hit reality show Jersey Shore, is focusing on your newest trash t.v. fix on Vh1.

Titled Mama Drama, the show will feature five mother-and-daughter pairs living in the same house. But it’s not just any mother and daughter, the moms are actually obsessed with staying young and dressing like their kids. In short, cougars with their cubs.

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Salsano says the house can get pretty chaotic.

“This show is emotionally and visually stimulating. You can’t stop watching. These characters are real and raw and don’t apologize for anything,” she says.

I can’t imagine a show like this without any fighting, hair pulling, bitch slapping, tacky weaves and inappropriate dresses as short as their tempers.

This coming January, curl up on the couch with your mama and get ready for some drama. Mama Drama premieres January 1 on VH1.

Another star that’s spending too much time chattin’ bull on Twitter is living legend Cher.

Her transgendered son Chaz Bono was eliminated on Dancing With the Stars last night and Cher has some mean words to say on Twitter.

Britsol Palin got more than she bargained for last night when filming her reality show. While riding a mechanical bull (we are not kidding) a man yelled, ”Your mother’s a whore.”

He also shouted, ”Did you ride Levi like that?”

Bristol confronted the man, and he called Sarah “evil” — and Bristol replied, “Is it because you’re a homosexual and that’s why you hate her?”

The man responded, “Pretty much … and why’d you say I’m a homosexual?”

Bristol shot back — “Because I can tell you are.”

Either way, she does ride a mechanical very well.

Paris Hilton To Release House Album

Paris Hilton is working on a house album, reports Pop In Stereo.

This album will be the follow up to her 2006 self-titled album ‘Paris,’ which peaked at #6 on the US Billboard 200 and surprised many critics.

Hilton, who is also releasing a new reality show titled ‘The World According to Paris,’ spoke to reporters about her upcoming album.

“I have a recording studio in my house so any time I have free time I’m writing and working [on new music]. I’ve been working on this album for a really long time because I want it to be perfect. I recently changed the direction of the album. It was more pop before but now I’m getting rid of a lot of songs and going into a different direction with house music, so it will be a lot more dance and club.”

Before anyone begins bashing her for releasing more music, let’s take a minute to think. Is she really any different than heavy hitters Ke$ha or Britney Spears? Sure, she probably can’t sing, but her music is fun and great for the club. She’s probably working with the best producers as well, so her album will likely gather a hit or two.

Khloé and Lamar get spoofed on SNL

With their new unisex fragrance, Unbreakable, and the countless spoofs that have followed on such shows as Chelsea Lately, Khloé Kardashian Odom and Lamar Odom probably aren’t too surprised that the folks over at Saturday Night Live have jumped at the opening to make fun of them.

Actor Andy Samberg and his cast mates, Vanessa Bayer, Abby Elliot and Nasim Pedrad, set their sights on dissing the couple’s new show, Khloé & Lamar, which premiers tonight on E!, last night in a skit titled, “Celebrity Taxes.”

In the skit, Samberg plays an accountant helping the Kardashian sisters file their taxes, and asks what was their most recent activity in the last fiscal quarter.

“We gave Khloe her own show,” “Kim” says, referring to Khloé & Lamar.

“Well, we can write that off as charity,” Samberg’s character replies.

While the remark may sting a bit, (though I’m sure it’s nothing in comparison to all the tranny references Khloé gets), publicity is publicity, and the show is clearly garnering buzz, without actually having premiered yet.

In fact, the Kardashians are notorious for using the press and media to their own advantage. Khloé’s new series is just another in the long list of business ventures for the family, who were reported to have crossed a collective $65 million in 2010, from enterprises such as their reality shows, endorsements, product lines, public appearance fees and more.

Yes, you read correctly –$65 million! Who’s making fun of who, now?

The 26-year-old previously credit mother and “momager”, Kris Jenner, for building the family’s empire.

“My mother has just always been this ‘Let’s make water into wine’ person,” Khloé’ said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. “She knows how to take one small talent or ability and grow it into something huge.”

Khloé & Lamar, will follow the couple through their first year of marriage, after getting hitched within just thirty days of meeting. Spoofs, skits and low-blows aside, I’m willing to bet millions of people — including critics — will be tuning in to E! tonight to catch the premiere. And at the end of the day, ratings are ratings, right?

Heidi Montag FORCED to Turn Down DWTS!

If you’ve ever thought to yourself “Poor Heidi Montag is just rolling downhill. Thank God she never did Dancing With the Stars!” you may want to think again.

It turns out Heidi was offered a guest spot on the hit reality show, but she was forced to turn it down due to her contractual obligations with MTV’s The Hills and NBC’S I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here.

Dontcha hate it when your starring roles on two separate reality shows make it impossible to star on another reality show?

Now that both of Heidi’s contracts are up, it would be a perfect time for her to slip on her dancing shoes…if she hadn’t have gotten those TEN surgeries two years ago, that is!

“[The offer] was before her surgeries and so I’m not sure if she wants to risk it now,” a source explained. “She already took an elbow from a dancer on the set of her song, Overdosin’, and she’s scared of getting hurt.”

The moral of the story: if you want to dance on a hit reality program, DON’T get G-cup breasts because they WILL get in the way and make you crazy paranoid!

Oh Heidi. You never cease to amuse us.

Nick Lachey Engaged to Vanessa Minnillo

Nick Lachey, of 98 Degrees fame, has put a ring on the finger of Vanessa Minnillo, reports RadarOnline. After splitting up last summer, the two are back together and apparently ready to take their relationship to the altar.

“We’re excited and incredibly happy about our engagement and we look forward to a wonderful future together,” said Lachey and Minnillo in a statement to UsMagazine.

The couple’s relationship took off in 2006 after Nick called his three year marriage with Jessica Simpson quits. With this news, it’s safe to assume that Nick is confident that this relationship will last.

Reality fans shouldn’t expect another TV show about Nick and Vanessa’s marriage though, as his lady has already shut that idea out.

The Jersey Shore empire seems to be growing!

Last week news broke that Pauly D is getting his own reality show and now PerezHilton is reporting that Snooki will also have her own spin-off reality dating show.

According to Perez, a source claims that “they are set to make the big announcement any day now.”

The show is said to involve Snooki’s Jersey Shore co-star JWoww as well as several of her ex boyfriends. To that respect, a source said, “One may try to win her heart back, and another may serve as a consultant.”

We’ve got to ask, do you think you’ll tune in to Snooki’s show?

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag: Back Together and Cozy by the Fire

TMZ reports that the couple spent their Thursday night by a campfire, burning their divorce papers and enjoying some marshmallows.

Apparently all it took was a little sex tape drama and a razor to Spencer’s gross beard for Heidi to take the crazy guy back.

Heidi told TMZ that she needed to be his number one. ”All I ever wanted was to know that Spencer loved me more than he loved all this other nonsense,” she said.

Commenting on the news, Spencer added, “Through everything it’s been Heidi’s love that kept me grounded. Realizing my behavior was pushing her away was a terrifying wake-up call. I’ve still got a long way to go to repair the trust, but I hope with continued self improvement, our relationship will be stronger than ever.”

It could be a little too early to call—but our noses are picking up the scent of a reality show through the thick smoke of that fire.

Pauly D Gets His Own Spin-Off

The third season of Jersey Shore has wrapped production but Pauly D is just getting started on a new project: His own spin-off show, reports RadarOnline.

The 28-year-old has always had a passion for spinning records, and travels the United States and Canada in his time off from working on Jersey Shore, so it’s only fitting that his new show will be about his life as a DJ.

“They have already chosen a name and of course it will be deejay-related,” a source confirmed.

The source continued, saying “It’s another MTV reality show and he’ll be DJ-ing and of course doing things his fans love to watch.”

Although MTV has yet to make an announcement, the source says that the show is scheduled to start filming in the next month.

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnson Have Multiple Reality Shows in the Works

Bristol Palin and Levi Johnson are not only back together, they want to put their relationship directly in the public’s eye with their own reality TV show.

Perez Hilton is reporting that the pair is also not shopping just one show, but trying to milk what they’ve got and have multiple reality shows in the works that they are trying to get networks interested in. Of course, all of the shows involve their relationship and their child Tripp.

We’re just speculating here, but if Bristol wants to get her mother’s respect back, becoming more of a media personality than a respectable young lady is probably a good route to go—but does anyone really want Sarah Palin’s support?

If they get what they want and a network picks up one of their shows, would you watch?

Don’t you just love America? What other place in the world could a couple of whores like Michelle “Bombshell” McGee and Jamie Jungers get a reality show about celebrities cheating on their loved ones.

TMZ is reporting that Jamie Jungers (one of Tiger Woods’ mistresses) and Michelle “Bombshell” McGee (Jesse James 1st mistress) are planning on hosting the show. The show was created by Bobby Goldstein, who created the original “Cheaters” — and would, according to the pitch, try and “catch celebrity cheaters with their pants down.”

The show is currently being pitched to networks to see if anybody will bite. However what broadcaster could say “no” to such “quality programming?”

Jon Gosselin May Be Joining Kate Gosselin on New Reality Series

Although they are in a nasty custody battle, it doesn’t mean that Jon Gosselin isn’t open to riding Kate Gosselin’s coat tails.

Jon’s lawyer Anthony F. List told TMZ that “under the right circumstances” Jon would do a show with Kate. However List added that “the contract would have to be tighter,” whatever that means.

List also commented that Jon would like to settle their disputes, saying Jon would “love to settle.”

Levi Johnston Going After Sarah Palin’s Alaska Reality Show

Wow – the Palin’s must really hate their daughters ex-boyfriend and I am sure the feeling is mutual. Why else would Levi Johnston be trying to pitch his own reality show?

Reliable sources tell Perezhilton.com that Johnston plans on pitching his own Alaska reality show, which is being dubbed “Entourage on Ice.” The tentative name of the show is Levi Johnston’s Last Frontier, which is expected to be Johnston hanging out on the ice drinking beers with his buddies.

His pitch meetings start this week.

MTV’s ‘Over The Bolts’ Brings The Country’s Top Snowboarders Into Your Home

If you mixed “The Hills” with TSN, you’d get “Over the Bolts,” MTV Canada’s brand new reality show that documents the country’s national snowboard team as they vie for 18 Olympic spots.

The show premieres this Sunday at 10 p.m. on MTV, but we got to see the first two episodes before its debut. And let’s just say you can already set the Tivo because “Over the Bolts” is as addictive as they come!

Michael Lambert, one of the country’s top snowboarders who stars in the show, admits there’s just something about reality TV that gets you hooked. “One of my friends was on the show ‘The City,’ Duncan Davies, so I enjoyed watching it and watching him interact with his girlfriend and stuff like that,” shares the athlete. “I think the dangerous thing about any of those TV shows is you can say ‘even though I may not watch them, every one of them is addictive.’ I could just watch two episodes and I could be hooked on any of them,” he laughs.

So when Lambert was asked to be a part of one, it was almost a no brainer. “I think right off the bat I was all over it,” he says. “As an athlete, this kind of opportunity is so rare, you know what I mean…if you’re my age or your age or in your early twenties, nothing is bigger than being part of a reality show.”

However, everything comes at a price. “I gave everything I had and that’s why it’s so hard for me to watch something like that…it takes you back to a place eight, 10 months ago, to a person that I hated and a person that didn’t have a chance at succeeding, a person that nobody respected. That’s the toughest part,” says a candid Lambert. Rest assured he has since changed.

Lambert was so open throughout our interview that he even talked about what it was like having a relationship while filming the show. “I find it really awkward,” he admits. “I think the worst part is that you’re basically asking something of somebody that doesn’t have anything to gain…it makes for something that’s very strange.”

After seeing the show, you’ll understand that Lambert and his confidence play a key part in “Over the Bolts” and making it interesting. But the confidence in the first few episodes is fake according to the alpine snowboarder. “I think that the confidence that I was displaying in the show there, I think it’s fake,” he reveals to andPOP. “I think it’s me just saying the word ‘confident’ and thinking that that’s what’s gonna get me the end result. Whereas now, it’s a completely different confidence that I have beginning in the next episodes… where I got my best results in my life,” Lambert shares. “That confidence was from me being humbled by these types of things and starting to be respectful with myself and just preparing the best that I can which is obviously the most boring athlete story ever, but unfortunately it’s actually what works.”

And for any aspiring snowboarders out there who want to practice the sport professionally, Lambert’s advice is quite simple: go out and compete. “You wanna take it, it’s not some sort of crazy dream. You just go and you do it. I think that’s my advice; compete.”

As for the 2010 Olympic games, it’ safe to say Lambert is more than excited, in fact he’s “very very excited”. “It’s something I’ve always dreamed about doing, and it sounds stupid but you know, I’ve really always wanted it and I think it’s just really really cool to be there and I want it. I’m doing everything in my power to get it this time but if I don’t, I’m going again you know what I mean? I’ve wanted that and I’m not going to die without it.”

“Over the Bolts” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV with encore presentations every Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ET on CTV.

‘Dancing With the Stars’ Lineup Announced

After much speculation on who would be joining the seventh season of the hit show “Dancing With the Stars,” the cast was officially announced on ABC’s “Good Morning America” Monday – reports E! News.

The star-studded cast includes soap star Susan Lucci, recent Beijing Olympics gold medal winner Misty May-Treanor, Kim Kardashian and former ‘N Sync star Lance Bass. The cast also includes the oldest-ever competitor with actress Cloris Leachman, 82, and the youngest-ever competitor with “Hannah Montana” actor Cody Linley, 18.

“We thought we’d focus on good characters and lots of things could happen. It’s a show that makes itself in some ways,” says Condrad Green, the producer of the show.

Other celebrity contestants include: Toni Braxton, Brooke Burke, Ted McGinley, Chef Rocco DiSpirito and comedian Jeffrey Ross.

The show is set to premiere September 22 on ABC

Ryan Seacrest’s ‘Momma’s Boy’

How many jobs can one man possibly hold down?

Ryan Seacrest has just added on to his already impressively long CV. He has teamed up with NBC to create the reality show “Momma’s Boy.” Seacrest will act as executive producer.

According to a casting notice on NBC.com, the show will feature the mothers of eligible bachelors “help their sons pick the right woman.”

The site also said that “Producers are looking for moms and their sons who are willing to work together as a team to find the perfect mate. These mothers should have strong opinions about whom their sons should date and be willing to separate the good from the bad.”

Is the world ready for the real Pamela Anderson?

E! has picked up a new reality show called “Pamela” starring the blonde Canadian bombshell. The show “will be shot in a highly stylized documentary style,” according to World of Wonder Productions.

“‘Pamela’ will be an artistically rich and visually stunning series,” said Randy Barbato, the managing director of World of Wonder Productions. “The series will offer an unprecedented look inside the life of one of today’s most iconic superstars in the style of a uniquely shot documentary film.”

While other stars like Denise Richards are in hot water for featuring their young children in their reality shows, Anderson’s kids will not be shown.

“Pamela” is set to air this summer.

Denise Richards Wins Reality TV Battle With Charlie Sheen

The nasty custody war between Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen is still going strong. And the latest battle was won by Richards.

Richards has been offered a reality television show that would star her and her daughters, Sam, 3, and Lola, 2. Sheen refused to allow the children to be filmed, so Richards brought on the lawyers. A judge ruled Tuesday that Sheen’s power could be revoked in this matter, but TMZ.com reports there were certain, unknown restrictions.

This is a bitter blow to Sheen. A source for Extra said that Sheen found the reality show idea to be “exploitative of the children for the mother’s own vanity and greed.”
