We have a new contender for the worst song of the year. Becuase Rebecca Black’s “Friday” wasn’t bad enough, “Real Housewives of New York” star Simon van Kempen has entered the running to make his own terrible tune called “I Am Real.”

“I thought ‘I Am Real’ is a fun song with lyrics that suit me to a ‘T,’” Simon tells PopEater. “It’s cheeky and catchy and captures my four years on reality TV.”

In actuality it’s a really poorly written and produced song, and we hope it’s only a joke. And it’s actually less professional than Rebecca’s song – at least she had a real music video.
