End Of ‘Prison Break’?

After four years, serial drama “Prison Break” is coming to an end. “Prison Break had a hell of a run, but the run has ended,” Kevin Reilly, president of Fox, told reporters attending the TV Critics Press Tour.

Although the show’s ratings went down this season, Reilly said that’s not the reason for the TV show’s abrupt end, “The show has just played out. You get to a point creatively where you feel all the stories have been told, and you want to end strong and not gimp out in the end of the season.”

According to Reilly, “Prison Break” fans still have four new episodes to watch and there are “a couple more they’re contemplating.” These “couple more” episodes could lead to a TV movie according to E! Online.

“It just got down to the point where a lot of the stories have been told, but they’ll go out strong,” Reilly assures.

Prison Break Star Accepts Responsibility Over Crash

PRISON BREAK actor LANE GARRISON promised to “accept responsibility for his conduct” as he was charged with vehicular manslaughter and drink driving in a California court yesterday.

The star, 26, appeared in Beverly Hills Superior Court to hear felony charges of vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, driving under the influence causing injury to multiple victims and driving with a blood-alcohol level above the .08 per cent legal limit causing injury.

He was also charged with a misdemeanour count of furnishing alcohol to a minor.

His lawyer HARLAND BRAUN said, “He is going to accept responsibility for his conduct. The only question is what is that level of responsibility?”

Garrison was released on $200,000 bail and is scheduled to return to court for arraignment on April 11.

Judge ELDON FOX banned Garrison from driving, drinking alcohol and contacting witnesses of victims of the December 2 crash.

Garrison was driving 17-year-old VAHAGN SETIAN and two 15-year-old girls home from a party in Beverly Hills when he lost control of the car.

The actor and two girls were both injured in the crash, but Setian tragically died.

Setian’s family released a statement, saying they were “gratified” to hear Garrison’s charges, adding, “They have lost their only child due to Lane Garrison’s recklessness.”

‘Prison Break’ Star in Deadly Car Crash

Lane Garrison, best known for his playing Tweener on Fox’s “Prison Break,” was involved in a car accident over the weekend that left a 17-year-old boy dead.

Police are said to still be investigating the circumstances of the crash and who was driving, according to Reuters.

What’s known is that Garrison’s SUV crashed into a tree in Beverly Hills late on Saturday, with three occupants besides the actor.

The 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital, and two 15-year-old girls were also injured, one of them critically.

Garrison, 26, sustained minor injuries.

Prison Break Ripped Off?

Two brothers are suing Fox, saying the television show “Prison Break” was modeled after their own experiences which they had written a manuscript about.

The Associated Press is reporting that Robert and Donald Hughes has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against the television network.

The brothers say they gave their script to Fox in 2001, but the network passed on it. They were shocked when “Prison Break” debuted last fall, especially since it bared eerie resemblances to their story and script.

“It’s a classic case of the rich trampling on the poor,” Donald Hughes said.

Fox representatives said they have not seen the lawsuit and that they have no comment.
